Alec Hopkins reprises young Snape role in Half-Blood Prince
In a recent interview, actor Alec Hopkins confirmed that he will be back to reprise his role as young Severus Snape in
Half-Blood Prince ; he mentions that his scenes consist of being part of moving photos throughout the sixth film.
Alec also spoke about his role in
Order of the Phoenix , specifically his disappointment at having his scenes cut down to a matter of seconds shown through a montage of Snape's memories. The video can be viewed below (note: he was joking about the
Snapes on a Plane movie):

I just love Alec ^^ And I loved his '15 seconds' in OotP, I was disappointed there wasn't more, too.

In OOTP his part was really short in the film, in the book though ... I guess now he'll have a bigger part in HBP

I thought that whole segment in OotP was under played, all the 'young' actors were jipped out of a decent part, and it seems they've done the same again for HBP.

How much they cut down the whole pensive scene in the movie I thought was its biggest flaw. I mean the whole scene was a whole chapter in the movie and I just felt that it should have been longer. I'm glad that he is returning. He makes a good younger Snape
