After a long hard day of hunting, and lessons, or even just a busy weekend, your dormitories will be your haven. It will be more than just your home away from home, and it is the place where you can come and relax after a long day or a late night. The four poster beds are surprisingly comfortable, and it's easy to get lost in the smooth red velvet covers. Should you want some privacy from your chatty dorm mates, feel free to close the hangings around you and lose yourself in sleep.
After all, every lion needs their rest and with the portraits watching of you - perhaps some evening serenading you to sleep - it is sure to be a sound sleep.

Any character listed that does not have a (username) is a non-playable character and entirely up to you (and your IC dormmates) to make up their personality and habits if you so desire.
Despite there only being two rooms per year listed above, IC there are obviously more rooms in the tower. After all, there are 9601 students in the school and about 2400 of those are Gryffindors. This is just meant to help create more of an IC feel for you as to your character's housing situation.
If you see anyone that is missing or any mistakes, please notify your Head of House.

Fresh from a Benny tackle and threats of arm twisting, AJ made her way up to her dorm from alllll the way from the playground. A girl couldn't even enjoy a nice slide and a friendly game of tetherball. The news was still floating around her head and she was conflicted. Right now, she only had rage.
Over protective sister mode activated.
"ANGELLLL" Where was she? Being assigned different dorms had its advantages and disadvantages. If her story differed in the slightest from what Benny told her then somebody was going to get it. And that somebody's name rhymed with 'Jenny'. Hmph!

Hearing her sisters' voice brought a little bit of comfort to her. Once she came in to view AJ ran over to her and put both hand on either shoulder. "I just heard." And she really felt crappy for not knowing sooner. Guilt, she was full of it. Never in a million years would she have thought the two of them would split. AJ assumed the tears at the table were over something harmless. How wrong she had been.

If you guys aren't meant to be then it's better to get out of it now." It could be worse. He could have waited years down the road and then broke the news to her. AJ was sure that would hurt way worse.
"You both deserve the best, and if that isn't with each other then let it go. You don't want to be with someone who is having doubts. You deserve better than that." Whoa. Maybe AJ wasn't that bad at this whole comforting thing after all.

Noelle loved her bed. She was in awe of it. She had put her pictures of her parents on either side of her poster bed and decorated it with some hanging lights. Even her crown had a place.
Noelle's favorite spot was her window. She could sit there for hours and watch things. She had a rich of ADD but for some reason, the window seemed to help.
Noelle scurried up and onto her window. Pulling her knees up to her chest, she rested against the window and looked out over the castle.

So much homework. Well all of it wasn't quite homework. She was studying for NEWTs too. Mercedes had talked her into taking them. Even though she had already been accepted to the fashion school. So here she was studying.
Okay so she maybe looking at a fashion magazine right now. But that was studying for the future for her. She lazily flipped a page. Moving around and flopped on her stomach. Now she was comfy and probably not getting anymore work done tonight.

As was becoming the norm for Charlotte, she CLATTERED up the stairs and into the dorms with enough noise that PROBABLY everyone would hear her. EVERYONE.
Her own dormmates though, were either absent or boring right this second, so Charlotte went wandering and of course the first place she went was the other first year girl dorm, to see if there was anyone in THERE willing to be the perfect audience/entertainment/etc for her (If not, she'd work her way through all the dorms, definitely).
"Noelle!" Char invited herself in as soon as she saw that the room wasn't empty. "Hiiiii Noelle!" She flopped down on Aneta's bed with as much dramatics as she could muster and punctuated it with a SIGH which was supposed to be lovelorn and angst-ridden (which was how she fancied she should be acting about this secret santa letter business, even if she actually found it equal parts thrilling and confusing, with a healthy dose of confusion and embarrassment thrown in).
LE SIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH. It was SO HARD BEING SO LOVED BY ALL THE BOYS AT HOGWARTS.

Noelle didn't wait and sat up immediately and patted her bed so they were closer. "TELL ME EVERYTHING!" okay, so she had said that a little too loudly but really, it was NEWS! Juicy news! And besides, she had a secret Santa letter she needed to talk about too.
She took hers out from hiding and laid it in her lap. "You tell me yours first, and I'll tell you about mind." Because really... Hers was quite juicy too.
Noelle waited, her eyes light with amusement and excitement.

Angel was so nervous now, she couldn't believe it was getting to that time of the year, normally she wouldn't mind but at the end of this year she would be sitting her OWL exams and she was worried that she was going to muddle everything up and fail them all and then her parents would be cross, well more her sisters because her parents were muggles.
Angel was trying to figure out what to do first, she had some homework to do but then she needed to study hard because that was important right, well that was what she had been told. She stood outside her dorm whilst trying to think about what she was going to do.

Yesterday being Larissa's birthday she had gone for a walk around the class and ended up sitting by the lake for hours and just thinking and thinking about what she should do now that her parents were gone and what she was going to do after she graduated from Hogwarts. She didn't know what she even wanted to do and she had a meeting later today with the Gryffindor Head of House.
Larissa walked into the girls dormitory, she had her backpack on one shoulder while she walked over to her bed. Rissa set her backpack on her bed and flopped down. She felt like crying but she wasn't going to do that right now. She couldn't.

Noelle didn't wait and sat up immediately and patted her bed so they were closer. "TELL ME EVERYTHING!" okay, so she had said that a little too loudly but really, it was NEWS! Juicy news! And besides, she had a secret Santa letter she needed to talk about too.
She took hers out from hiding and laid it in her lap. "You tell me yours first, and I'll tell you about mind." Because really... Hers was quite juicy too.
Noelle waited, her eyes light with amusement and excitement.
Charlotte was TORN between TELLING in detail or just having Noelle read her Secret Santa and then watching her react to it.
"Lets just switch!" She suggested eagerly. That would be fun, right?

Larissa looked around to see if anyone was there, she wasn't able to see that well with the tears in her brown eyes making her vision blurry. Then she heard a voice. Larissa turned her head towards the voice. "Hi." The Greek girl said with a crack in her voice.
Then she heard what she had asked next. She didn't want to lie and pretend everything was okay when it wasn't. "N-no." She sniffled. "I'm not alright."

She knew it was important to speak to people when you were sad, but sometimes you wanted to talk to people you know more than a stranger. "If you don't that's okay." Angel just thought she would offer to listen.
