| | Corridor to the Depths Behind one of the doors off the main hall is a corridor leading down to the vaults. They are made of rough hewn stone and are dimly lit, torches sit in iron brackets along the length of the corridor. The passage way slopes downwards and the stone floor has been worn smooth by centuries of use.
The corridor is long, it takes about ten minutes to reach the tracks at the bottom. When you reach the bottom, in the company of a Goblin, you will be helped into a cart and your journey down to your vault will begin, twisting and turning and dropping miles below the ground. ooc: your post will be deleted if you post here without being escorted by a Goblin. You must post in the Gringotts Main Hall and wait for a Gringotts Goblin to lead your character here.
Once you post here, you will be linked to your character's vault thread, which is specifically for you. When not in use, the vault thread will be moved back into our storage. |

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ TJ followed the goblin into the corridor, his eyes automatically flicking around as he walked. He kept his hands off the walls, unlike the silver doors; they just didn't look as interesting. Although the torches... he looked at each one as he passed, out of habit. They were probably spelled to remain lit, and not burn themselves out, something he found slightly fascinating.
Keeping pace with the goblin, he started counting the torches on his way down to the tracks. |

Keeping pace with the goblin, he started counting the torches on his way down to the tracks. Sturnik appeared to completely ignore the wizard, except he was quite aware of where the man was at all times, considering the shadows that flickered from the torch light. After approximately 7 minutes by Sturnik's count, they reached the bottom of the corridor where several carts were lined up. "Show me your wand." He demanded.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Without questioning the request, Trystan reached up his sleeve and withdrew his wand, holding it out for the goblin to inspect. The black wood gleamed even in the low torchlight; he kept his wand well, at the very least. At the end of the day, he might look slightly dishevelled (the price of working where he did, and wrangling uncooperative owls for a living), but he always made sure his wand was in top shape. |

Sturnik checked that the wand was in fact 10 inches of African Blackwood. A special probity probe designed for recognising wand cores was extracted from his pockets and he confirmed that was right too.
Another grunt and he led the man to a cart. "Get in the cart." Sturnik got in himself and waited.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ The probity probe thing always worried TJ. He didn't know how it worked, and often wondered if it ever interfered with the core of the wand it had just checked. However... as he had never had any real issues with that, he put it out of his mind and tucked the wand back up his sleeve, making sure it was secure before giving the goblin a smile and stepping into the cart.
"I'm glad I don't get motion sickness," he commented randomly, knowing what was coming next. |

Another grunt and the cart was moving at breakneck speed, somehow feeling as if it were going faster and faster, particularly when it hit corners or the great drops that often accounted for going down a level. The clankers in the bottom of the cart made a racket and Sturnik appeared to be grinning.
What?
It was fun for Goblins. They whizzed through the first levels, the darkness only interrupted by the flashes that were torches that spluttered as they went by. ooc: please post in the given thread. |

Sketchy corridor time? Alrighty then. Loreali followed the goblin without really questioning him. This was one of the more creepier places she had ever set foot in but hey she had to get to her vault somehow.

In fact anyone who dared show too much impatience was quite likely to be delayed even further. Sturnik walked in silence and when they finally reached the bottom of the corridor, he chose a cart and sat in it. "Get in. Keep arms and head inside or they might get cut off. No refunds if you lose life or limb." |

"Exactly how fast do these things go anyway?" She wanted to make light conversation with the goblin since sitting around in silence was never fun. She had realized her key was still in her hand so she put it in her pocket and waited for the ride down to the vaults to start.

Sturnik grunted and sure enough the cart took off, building up to breakneck almost right away. It lurched forward and around a corner, dropping alarmingly even though it stayed on the tracks the entire time. It was only about ten minutes later that they reached the first level of vaults. ooc: please post in the given thread. |

Apparently, Quazi's giggles were contagious, because once he or she (Lexi still hadn't figured that one out) started giggling, Lexi couldn't help but laugh along.
That is, until Quazi pointed toward a dark corridor that Lexi was apparently meant to head down. It looked...well, just as she expected corridors leading to vaults would look. That still didn't make the appearance of the corridor seem any less...frightening, she guessed she would say. Although she wouldn't tell anyone it seemed frightening. She forced a smile then nodded. Why did she suddenly have the feeling that what lied ahead could be compared to a theme park thrill ride?
Nevertheless, she kept walking...and walking...and walking. Finally, she reached the bottom and turned toward Quazi with...an attempt at a smile. "Wow, this is...pretty far down, hmm?" she asked, not really expecting an answer to that question. Quazi was still with her, right? Maybe she should have brought Allie along...

After about eight minutes by Quazi's count, they reached the bottom. Standing just before the cart, Quazi looked up and smiled. "Oh, yes. It's a ways down, but nothing compared the the rest of the ride," she said with a nod. The journey down the corridor was really just the beginning. "May I see your wand, please?" |

Egypt gathered up her things and her children to follow the goblin down to the new family vault. She looped the vault key around her neck and tucked it into her shirt. She took the boys out of the buggie and hit a button on the handle bar, the buggie shrunk down till it was a little blue box that tucked nicely into her purse. She grabbed each twin by the hand and held them fast. They were too heavy for her to hold.
She nodded at the goblin. "Yes, thank you." she turned to follow the goblin down a dark corridor toward their vault.
The air instantly grew chilly, and the twins held behind her legs in an attempt to escape the cold air.

Turning to face them, she stood before the cart. "May I see your wand?" |

No one had ever been allowed down the corridor without a key or wand in her time at Gringotts.

Arjuna nodded as Quazi went over the particulars, somewhat surprised that wands were used as identification. They could be stolen after all. Though, she reminded herself, that would be unlikely. | ll Achmed's 2nd Keeper ll Team Jacob l l Otaku ll Arjuna followed Quazi easily, rocking her head from side to side enjoying the goblin's humming. She'd given up on the idea of taking photos. What was out there anyway? More tunnel walls probably. She was starting to feel a little hungry. Perhaps she could try stealing something up before work? If it was possible of course. But not probable.
Just when Arjuna was beginning to get a little tired and very impatient, Quazi stopped. Arjuna stopped likewise, for a fleeting second thinking that Quazi had heard her thoughts. Ridiculous, she told herself. Arjuna smiled back at the goblin and handed her her wand. "You know, this is quite suspicious." |

"Do keep all legs and arms in the cart at all times and if you begin to feel a bit ill from the journey. Do just take a deep breath and sometimes closing your eyes helps." she suggested as she too entered the cart and secured herself. Quote:

Quazi took the wand and examined it closely as Miss Carlton entered the cart. Turning the wand in her palm, she nodded. Yes, it was a wand of willow and the core was of phoenix. A feather to be precise. Yes, this was the wand.
Walking over to the cart herself, she smiled and handed the wand back. "I can assure you if anything shall happen, I can promise you you will come back unharmed," she replied. Nothing had ever truly happened under her watch, but accidents were bound to happen. Quazi had been doing this for a long time and was beyond prepared for anything that could happen.
Checking to see that both of them were securely inside, she nodded. "It's okay, Miss Carlton. I understand completely, but all is okay now. You have your wand and nothing shall happen that I can't not handle." Quazi vaguely understood why witches and wizards were so attached to their wands, but being that goblins weren't even allow them, it was still a curious thing to her. ""Oh, please do keep all hands and legs in the cart at all times as well.
Soon the cart started to move slowly down the track into the darkness. Entering a steep decline, it picked up speed and the journey down to the vaults began. It wasn't but about ten minutes or some before they reached the first level of vaults. OCC: please post in the given thread. Quote:

Motioning toward the cart, Quazi moved to the side to allow her to past and get the twins and herself safely in. "Do keep all legs and arms in the cart at all times and if you begin to feel a bit ill from the journey. Do just take a deep breath and sometimes closing your eyes helps." she suggested as she too entered the cart and secured herself. Egypt nodded. She would get sick and she would take a few deep breaths. The twins, cold forgotten, strained against her firm as in their eagerness to climb into the cart. She put one on either side of her and wrap a thin arm around their waists. "Stay put," she warned both of them. She didn't have her wand with her to keep them in line. But the look she gave each other them did the same thing. "Ready," she told the goblin though the cart seemed to move on its own without any direction from the goblins.
