| | |  Gobstones Preliminary Match: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the early September chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Mr McLeod and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first preliminary match.
The blue and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Franklin continues remaining his ground against the badgers. They get their shooters ready before the stones fire out. The yellow had too much power as it shot out into an obstacle sending a spray of gob towards the audience. The red stone shot out and went through two obstacles before stopping.

Franklin once again remains his ground against the badgers. The two team representatives get their shooters ready before the stones fire out. They both shot out with a lot of power as the yellow and red stone went through four obstacles, at the fifth one however, the red collided with the yellow sending it off the course. Leaving the red to reach the center. "Annnd that makes it three points to Gryffindor as we end the fourth round." Justin announced, "Gryffindor leads 16-6 as we enter the final round. Get ready teams!"

Franklin and Brian with fierce concentration remain their ground in this match. With a strong desire for a comeback it looks like from the badgers both teams get into position. Shooting out the red and yellow stone pass through three obstacles, knocking one out of the way before closin in two more. After another obstacle both stones slow to a halt, the yellow one was closer to the center in the end.

Fiyero steps in against Katerina and they both look focused as their team mates whisper encouraging thoughts and tips before being ushered to remain quiet. They shoot their stones out as it rolls through two, three, four obstacles before rebounding off nearing the Jack stone. The yellow one just behind the red one gave it enough push to reach the center with it following right after.
"Annnnd Gryffindor nabs the final three points! Good match teams!" Justin exclaimed before the final announcement. "Gryffindor is declared the winner with 19-9! This concludes the match everyone, thank you for coming out to watch this fine display of a game from both houses. The player of the match is Franklin Paton, congratulations." Giving both teams a proud smile at the display. "Alright everyone, off to your common rooms and regular studies." Where ever they happened to be as the two advisers ushered them out.
