| | |  Gobstones Match: Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor
The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the icy, winter air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's third match.
The blue and red marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. When Leobald headed down from the castle to set up for the third Gobstones match of the term he walked down in the chilly snowflake filled morning air where the grounds were slowly getting covered in a white layer of snow. By the time he had unlocked and entered the building his hands were shaking from the cold. Pulling out his wand he warmed himself up satisfiably before he fetched the stone bags and took a tour of the court and stands in the viewing area.
Everything looked good for the match so Leo took his place in the center of the court to wait for Medea and the players from Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. When a the group of student's had formed around him he spoke as much as to them as the people in the stands. "Welcome everyone to the third Gobstones match of the season."
"Good luck to both houses and remember that horse-play won't be tolerated." he said putting emphasizis on the last words. Giving the teams their stones, red to Gryffindor and blue to Ravenclaw he took his place on the sideline.

Sarah Edwards manned the red shooter for the lions against Nigel Barrington for the eagles. They both released their stones. The blue stone was released a few seconds ahead of the red stone. The blue stone had way too much speed and sped well past the Jack stone before it stopped. The red stone had better aim and speed and could thus roll up next to the Jack stone and stop unhindered.
"The first point of the match goes to Gryffindor!" Leo announced excitedly.

Sarah Edwards was handed a towel by Alexa Cambridge as they met on the court, one heading out and one heading to the bench. Nigel kept the blue shooter for another round. The two players released their stones. The red stone zoomed ahead. In its backwater the blue looked like it was gaining on its oppponet when it suddenly stopped and splattered the Ravenclaw bench in smelly gob. The red stone inched up next to the Jack stone.
"2 points to Gryffindor!" Leo announced.

Third year Alexa remained in possession of the red shooter as the eagles switched in seventh year Ethan McCarthy from the bench. The two released their stones. Unfortunatley for Alexa her red stone lacked aim. It swerved to the right almost right off the bat and started to roll back towards the young lioness before collided with her feet and stopped. The blue stone on the other hand rolled up lazily to the Jack stone and stopped.

Ethan was high fived on the way off the court by prefect Beatrice Castell that wanted to get into the game. Alexa didn't want to switch out so it became an all girl face off. The two girls released their shooters at the same time and watched as their stone's sped off down the court. It was a tight race all the way up to the Jack stone where the blue managed to inch up closest to the Jack stone.
