| | |  Gobstones Championship Match: Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had its doors open against the late May warmth. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Vance and Professor Stewart, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's championship match.
The red and yellow marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Professor Vance walked into the gobstones building with her jacket only buttoned a little since it was a warm may morning, with Professor Stewart by her side and they together set up the hall for the championsip match lightening only one or two fireplaces and put away the heated blankets since the weather was getting warmer. On the way down from the castle the trees had started to leaf and there were plenty of may flowers to fasten eyes on and even the occassional wild creature.
As the teams assembled Laurel put her wand to her mouth to enhance her whistle to get the players attention, a smile pursing her lips. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our Championship match of the season. I hope you're all as excited and geared up as me and Professor Stewart are!" Not waiting for any responses Laurel quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game.
"Let's begin!"

For the first match up of the championship game Lancelot McWitty went head to head with Henry Whittebrook. The two boys took the court with their shooters and prepared themselves and when they heard the signal they swung their arms and released their stones. The stones shot off simultaneously but the yellow stone swerved heavily to the right after round the 5 obstacle and out of play. The red stone left is opponent behind and cleared 4 more obstacles before it too stopped.
"First point of the chamionship match goes to Gryffindor!" Laurel declared from the sideline.

Lancelot left the court and passed the shooter over to Frankie Paton that took his place next to Henry on the court. The two boys swung their shooters and released their stones on the advisors signal. The yellow stone rounded the first three obstacles without trouble before it abruptly stopped and gushed out a giant cloud of gob straight toward the team benches. Hopefully the students managed to duck in time. Meanwhile the red stone had left its opponent behind and past four more obstacles to claim the points by being closest to the jack.
"2 points to Gryffindor! Come on Hufflepuff" Laurel declared from the sideline trying hard to not gag cause of the smell.

They rounded out the obstacles, none crashing into any obstacles. However, it was the red one that claimed the points as it surpassed it's opponent in the end.

The yellow stone shot off immediatly rounding five obstacles in quick succession before it crashed nose first into the sixth obstacle. The impact was loud enough for a giant thud to resonate around the building. Luckily no gob oozed out. The red stone surpassed its opponent and three more obstacles to claim the points.

A meteor is a meteoroid that has entered the Earth's atmosphere and creates a visible path of the meteoroid across the sky, lasting about a fraction of a second and what people refer to as a shooting/falling star. A meteorite is a meteoroid that has passed through the Earth's atmosphere and has made it all the way to the ground, surviving the impact.
