With every fibre of his being, Rooney wanted to be in his common room or the library or in actual quiet so that he could think everything over. But he had been radio silent for more than a few days and figured that with his position, he needed to be around to assist if needed. But he was keeping up with things on the low now. Like skulking around less than an hour before curfew, ready to spend his entire night in the prefect lounge, filling his brain with OWL prep.

But exploring was good enough for now.

Alice had decided to wander around. She left Diaval in her room, partially to get a break from squawking and feathers and partially to guard her dorm from the possible retaliation of another Lioness. She was sure her bird was far more clever in any case.

She was feeling a great mix of things. Missing Nate, being annoyed at him. Annoyance at Phillip.. Honestly boys in general and dating seemed to be a lot more trouble than anything else and she had other things to think about. Better things. Like her career. Hmm.

She then spotted Rooney.. Doing whatever he was doing. She didn't know him well enough to guess or assume. "Hi" Because how else would she start a conversation?

Rooney eyed up the statue of good old Greg and considered whether half of the Gryffindor's that he knew were under whatever it was that the man had been creating. Because they were all sure that the next person walking along was their new best friend. Aha, speaking of the next person to walk along...and a female Gryffindor! Roo smiled at Alice and returned her greeting. "Hey!" Maybe she would have a clue on this.

"Are you girls all drinking this guys stuff?"

Alice smiled, because he seemed to be in a good mood. "Hmm?.. Oh, His potion? No? Why would you ask that?" Was that a tear at her? Or Maybe the other Girls? Was it about anyone specific. "Well, i guess i can't speak for the others." She only had a few friends really. Her only best friend was Tim. "What are you up to?" Was he just wandering?

Yes, why would he ask that? Rooney shrugged, put his hands in his pockets and shrugged again. "I don't know girls who don't make friends with everyone they meet." And he somehow found himself falling pretty hard, pretty fast for those specific girls. Damnit. Why couldn't he just have an hour go by without thinking about people like that?

"Me? Oh, I'm just...exploring before curfew..."

She shrugged. "It's good to make friends i suppose.. I try to be friendly but i'm not friends with everyone." In fact she could think of someone who she wasn't friends with and didn't like her.. Though before all that Phillip nonsense happened she might have tried to be friends.. Maybe. Maybe not.

"That sounds fun. See anything interesting so far?"

"Rooney BOOOOO-WYN! Ravenclaw prefect EXTRAORDINAIRE." He dropped a piece of chalk on the boy's head, cackling as he swooped around behind the Gryffindor girl.

He grabbed a strand of her hair and used it as a mustache, GIGGLING with malicious glee. "SNIP SNIP SNIP-you like your hair, LION?"he let go and blew air on the back of her head before spiraling upward towards the ceiling.

Maybe he'd ask Liv, Char and Brin the same question later. Rooney was certain that they'd think he was being a bit of an idiot thinking that they did do that, but he'd just made an observation that they all seemed to make friends with everyone. Maybe that was his type... Not Brinlee, but the others...

"Same old. The castle doesn't change as frequently as I wished it would. Why are you out? You know it's cur--"

Rooney wasn't able to finish his sentence as they were rudely interrupted, or so..he was. With a roll of his eyes, Rooney gave the chalk a kick down the retreating corridor and tutted at Peeves. "I wish you wouldn't do that, you know. What would happen if you scared me senseless and I punched her in fear?" Actually, wait.. Peeves would enjoy that.

"Where's your Miffy, Peeves?" YEAH. Where was his girl, hm?

Alice didn't have time to reply to Rooney before Peeves showed up and was very very rude. She sighed and looked at him like he was just a silly child. "Yes, If Rooney punched me I'd have to punch him back in his pretty face. " She grinned a little to herself and then looked to Peeves. "Maybe instead of playing pranks on us you could team up with us." She turned to Rooney. "What do you think? It'd be fun, right?"

[/COLOR]Did Peeves care where Miffy was?! Not at the moment, no! She was probably up to similar antics as he was anyway! Tormenting students? The smell of it gave him such glee!

"Oh, that tempter, Mr. BronLOSE," heh, did they geddit? Did they?! "Punching a fellow student-a GIRL at that-" Tsk tsk, prefect. "Naughty naughty boy you are." Peeves smashed the pieces of chalk in his palm and sprinkled the dust atop Rooney's head.

"What do you mean join you? In what? Peeves makes deals, not agreements," and there was a different. "What should you do in return for my cooperation in your scheme, HMMMM?" The poltergeist began to draw on the corridor wall with the chalk.

"PROFESSOR SOKOLOV SMELLS LIKE PIG FARTS."

There! Hopefully the Ancient LUNES professor saw his masterpiece.

Come on.. This was.. He didn't comment on Alice mentioning his pretty face, because he was too busy rolling his eyes and wanting to throttle the poltergeist at that very second. "Shut up, peabrain!" If Peeves could make a play on names, then so would Rooney. Even though he wasn't all that great at it. "Don't you have a Professor to bug?" He whirled around the stare at the redhead beside him and scoffed loudly. "I'm having no part in your teaming up. In fact, I'll be the first to get a Professor." Did she not remember that he was a PREFECT??!

Pitiful attempt on making a statement, Peeves.

Rooney raised his wand and used it to clean the chalk from the wall with a huff.

Alice almost sighed out loud when Rooney spoke. "Don't be a stick in the mud." Couldn't he tell that she was just trying to get Peeves on their side? She wasn't trying to cause actual trouble. "You do remember how to have fun right?" She asked and made a face to try and indicate that she was just seeing where this was going.

Alice had no intention to actually get in any trouble. But she was a Gryffindor. It was always a possibility.

Well it was too late to team up now, for the prefect had rejected his services! How utterly rude, Mr. Bronwyn! Peeves cackled. "NO fun for Rooney Bronwyn! Pity pity!"

He was bored with the pair, and he decided he'd go find his sweet, sweet love, Miffy.

He disappeared down the corridor, singing loudly, "NO FUN FOR BRONWYN NO FUN FOR BRONWYN."

How was it April already? Nat wasn't complaining that the term seemed to be almost over, but she was having one of her days where she wasn't feeling all the chipper and she was just wanting to be in bed. So instead she was walking around the castle thinking. Her thought were the end of term and all the great things summer had to offer, but also the seventh years leaving. How was it that people graduating made her so sad at times. Even Hugo who she hadn't really been talking to all term. The thought of him being fully done just made her even more sad.

Finding herself near the hideous statue she tried so hard to avoid. Looking at it she crinkled her nose at it. She didn't understand why they'd keep such a statue here when there had to be better looking ones to put in a corridor. Either way Nat decided she would spend some time near it reading. Sliding down to the floor in the corner she opened her book. It was quiet here and a good place for some studying.
