Another duel. This time against a hufflepuff seventh year. He had disliked it that he had lost against Tia the previous match but had also learned a thing or not. For one, he wasn’t to use up all his energy as that had him lose the duel.

Dressed in his armoured uniform, the Gryffindor entered the room with his phoenix feathered wand in his hand. He didn’t exactly know his opponent apart from seeing her in class now and then. What he did know was that her name was Paulina and that she was a year older than him. That didn’t matter though. It was just a year and with his charms skills a tad bit higher than most sixth years thanks to charms school she was going to have a duel alright.

“Good luck” he smiled genuinely because he did wish her luck. It was all just a learning process, though it didn’t hurt to win either. He bowed for the girl and then lifted his arm up, pointing his wand at the Hufflepuff “Ventus!” a strong blast of wind came rushing towards the girl.

Another duel, and this time it was with someone she didn't know. Probably wouldn't make much of a difference since Benny had still managed to beat her while being her friend. Knowing someone wasn't a guarantee that you would be able to foresee the moves they would make.

At least she had seen Yoongi in classes before.

Paulina was as ready as she would ever be as she entered the room and approached her opponent. Hopefully this fight would go better for her than the last one had. And the boy seemed rather nice which was always a plus in her mind. "Good luck to you too," she said as she returned the smile before bowing to him.

Yoongi wasn't wasting any time as almost immediately there was a spell cast at her. She was ready this time though; the last duel had really taught her to be on her toes. Quickly Paulina raised her wand and drew a downward slash. "Protego!" The spell bounced off harmlessly towards the wall and she let out a sigh of relief. That had been close.

Quickly she lowered the shield and aimed her wand towards Yoongi. ” Steleus!” Fingers crossed she would make a hit because she really needed to improve her dueling skills.

A small smirk appeared on his lips as the Hufflepuff managed to bounce the spell off of her using the shield charm. But the sixth year kept focused as he watched her movements. Seeing that she made the wand movement to lower her shield, Yoongi got ready for the attack which he knew would come. Of course there would be an attack back, it was a duel of course.

He saw the green rings coming his way and thinking quickly, the Gryffindor sidestepped to the left just in time. She didn't think he would be hit THAT easily right? The moment he had avoided the spell, Yoongi pointed his wand at Paulina's face and shouted "Furnunculus!" Let's try and make her face pretty eh? hehe

So the spell didn't hit.

Bummer.

Paulina wasn't about to give up though.

As Yoongi sent a spell flying towards her, she managed to duck at the last second. It had been really close, but fortunately she wasn't going to be breaking out in any boils or pimples. She liked her complexion clear thank you very much. Now she needed to return the favour, and Paulina had an idea of what she wanted to do...

"Tarantallegra!" Fingers crossed he wouldn't be able to avoid this one.

The Gryffindor watched as Paulina avoided his spell as well by ducking at the last second. It had been close though so there was nothing wrong with his speed, she was just a little bit faster. No matter though because Yoongi raised his wand again to perform another spell when he felt a sudden jolt of energy go through his legs and a second later he was dancing.

What the?!

As his feet started to dance faster at this point, Yoongi knew it was only a matter of a few seconds until his whole body started to twist and twirl in some kind of dance performance so before that happened he pointed his wand at Paulina, not even knowing where he aimed but he did see her and shouted the only spell that he could think of right now. With a quick motion, the sixth year drew a line to the side and a forward flick and shouted "Persequoris!" He was just in time to see the green light shooting towards his opponent before he started to do a pirouette and a graceful jump in the air. Stop thiiiiiis~!

Wow, that spell had actually hit. Paulina was rather surprised by that since none of her other ones had managed to.

It was rather comical watching Yoongi dance around and she had a hard time managing to keep a straight face. He was still capable of casting magic in this state and even if he wouldn't be able to control it as well as usual, she could still get hit. Best to keep her guard up so that she didn't end up potentially losing the way that she had against Benny.

Oh crap; he was coming at her with a homing spell.

Even though the spell was aimed to the side, she knew that it would hit her regardless unless she blocked it. Well played, Yoongi. Well played. Without even giving it another thought, Paulina called out "Protego!" The spell bounced off harmlessly and she smiled because her reflexes were getting better.

Her attention focused back on her opponent as he continued to dance. She felt mean to continue to try casting spells over him in this state, but it WAS a duel and she knew that it was important for her to keep going until Yoongi was totally out of commission. Without giving it another thought, Paulina verbally cast the Babbling Curse towards him though she had no idea if it would hit when he kept moving around.

Although his feet were dancing an tap dance right now and he had lost control of his own body, that did not mean he had lost his mind as well. He could still think straight and it annoyed him so much that he couldn’t get his feet to stop dancing that he tried to point his wand with a shaking hand at himself to stop the curse when he heard the Hufflepuff shout another incantation.

Feet still dancing, Yoongi knew he didn’t have time to cast two spells so he went over to plan B. “Protego!” he shouted while concentrating on the shield forming around him. “Nice….” He breathed a couple of times ” try” he huffed as his feet were dancing faster now. He had to stop this and now. “Finite” he mumbled at his feet and they stopped dancing.

UGH FINALLY!

The Gryffindor was sweating all over from the dancing workout and he whined that he needed a shower his mind. But first he had a duel to finish. Which he was pretty sure he was going to lose. Paulina was strong. Perks of being a seventh year. Boo. “Incarcerous!” he shouted and watched as the ropes flew in the direction of the girl.

Rats, her spell had missed!

Yoongi had managed to protect himself, end the spell, and send another attack towards her. That was impressive enough, but he was throwing COMPLEX magic at her; NEWT level stuff. She would have complimented him on his work if she hadn't needed to dive off to the side at the last moment. The ropes hit the ground harmlessly and she smiled.

Knowing that it was unwise to stay on the ground, Paulina quickly got back to her feet and returned to dueling stance.

This battle wasn't over yet.

She aimed her wand at Yoongi's feet and hoped that this would work out for her. "Colloshoo!" It would be interesting to see him fight if he can't even move his feet.

As much as Sabel would have enjoyed seeing if Hyland valued his shoes as much as his hair, the grandfather clock had tolled out the end of the duel. With it's ring, Sabel pushed himself away from the wall and sent up the blue shield screen between the two duelers. Holiday's spell hit it with a pop, and the whole curtain came down in a shimmer of blue flakes.

Each dueler got a solemn nod from him. "Well executed and practiced. A close call today." Raising his wand, Sabel cast a gold spark over Hyland's head, albeit not close enough to affect the kid's hair. "Yoongi Hyland, is the winner! Congratulations."

But really, good job to the both of them. The students were proving rather impressive with their duels.
