Satine shot her hand into the air, "Professor, I beleive it originated in Turkey and Persia." she said with great certainty as she took in the magnificent aromas coming from the flowers and petals....they seemed to be swirling around them in an elaborate dance of some sort....

"That's correct. It was in the middle east. It also traveled back towards the east over 100 years ago, around the 1940's." He sent a veritable snow fall of little white petals flying like a handful of confetti as he broke up the daisies.

"BLACHoooOO!" He sniffed upon inhaling some of the air born pollen. "Excuse me."

"Alright, those of you who haven't gotten in to groups, would you please pair off into groups of no more than two now. If you find you're odd, let me know." He said, continuing to arrange the flowers with somewhat of a undelicate hand.

Evelyn didn't have the strength to raise her hand and answer. She was fighting to keep her eyes open and trying not to breathe in the flowery scent that was making her fall asleep. 'Gah, someone open a window or something.' she thought, stretching her neck. 'Wait, is there even windows in the classroom?' Looking around, she saw everything in the room, but it just wasn't processing in her mind. 'What are we doing again? Turkey? Persia? What? We need partners? Need...to...move...stay...awake...' Groaning, she turned in her seat and looked for anyone that needed a partner.

Carter turned to Tori. "Shall we partner up?" he asked her.

Mina looked around the classroom for familiar faces. Who would want to pair up with her, she thought to herself as her eyes moved from person to person.

"It originated in parts of the Middle East, sir, particularly in Persia and Turkey," LouAnn said, her hand raised high in the air. LouAnn never claimed to be the greatest in Divination (and for good reason, at that), but she was fairly good at sprouting out random facts such as this one. Who knows, maybe she'd get lucky and Divination would be nothing but pure facts from now until the time she graduated. Unlikely, but it was nice to think about even still.

...apparently she was too late, though, as the professor had started talking just as she answered. Hmm...just her luck to get unlucky in Divination. Ohhh, she was supposed to be in a group? She must have missed that little memo. Mmkay...now, to find a partner.

Herminny desperately needed a partner now and it seemed on of her fellow Gryffindors a little older then herself need one too so Harminny quickly turned to her and asked, "Would you partner with me?".

Looking around from his vantage point in the last seat situated in the furthest corner of the class, Garret raised his heavy lids to check out the classmates. He'd just wait til someone joined him or Kapoor gave him a partner, yup. No sense fighting over classmates like girls at a wedding over the bouquet.

Noooo sirreeee...

So Garret leaned further back in his chair, raised his arms to hook his hands behind his neck and waited. The stretched out legs and crossed ankles did not seem to help his cause in getting a partner, especially if said partner expected to earn participation points.

Er...groups...no more than two...that means...pairs...wouldn't it be easier to say "pairs"?

Anyway, she wasn't in any 'group' as far as Kaika was concerned. Looking around she noticed one that stood out from the rest...or was closer, actually, "Pssst! Jack, want to work together?" she asked, giving the choice was always nice, and this wasn't a Charms lesson, so he would not get hurt.

Jack looked up, having totally spaced out after answering the last question. This class was NOT a good class to attend after only having three hours of sleep, that was for sure. He saw Kaika nearby, asking him to be partners. He smiled and nodded. "Sure!" he said, and he quietly moved his seat over near hers to indicate that they were in a group. Or pair. Whatever they wanted to call it.

Flowers? Partners? Tibi's heart sank. This could be a right disaster. How precise could you be with FLOWERS?

Arithmancy had told him he'd be an emotional mess... the Runes predicted conspiracy.. what were the flowers going to say?

Looking around rather unenthusiastically, Tibi searched for a partner, hoping that whoever it was knew what they were doing.

...and just as LouAnn had hoped, someone approached her and asked about being partners. Now she didn't have to worry herself with standing around and appearing lost as a goose. She smiled at the girl and nodded her head. "Oh, yeah. Cool, thanks," she said. "I'm LouAnn Purple. What's your name?" She started to warn the girl that she was absolutely rubbish in Divination, but the poor girl would probably find out soon enough anyway. Besides, LouAnn was still hanging on to the hope that she'd luck out and have a classtime full of factual questions.

"Good" she smiled, and...it was a nice thing that he was the one moving closer, because she wasn't feeling like lifting her chair even one bit.

Kaika was now ready to take whatever notes were necessary...only...Professor Kapoor needed to really start the lesson.

As long as the flowers didn't predict Gryffindor winning the Quidditch Cup, she'll do fine. But, yeah, she knew that's not how Floriomancy or Floriography or Florian-things worked...'tis was way different, right? Yes.

Adrienne had been sitting idly in her seat, feeling just the slightest bit of pride in the fact she was able to keep her stand against Dominic and his shoe-thing, since no one seemed to have an issue with her shoes, which were still discreetly tucked under her chair. But then, Cela had come over in a panic and she'd turned her head to look at the blonde. She took a few seconds to formulate her argument, but by the time she'd readied it, Professor Kapoor had opened the class. Apparently her shoes were going to have to wait. It hadn't seemed like they had bothered the professor too much, but she couldn't really tell. So with another glance at her housemate, she turned to the rest of the class as discussion started. Floriomancy, right. Taking notes, she listened as others answered the question that had been posed about its origin.

And then they had been told to pair up, and she took the ensuing rush of conversation to turn back to Cela. "If it makes you feel any better, the only person at all who's made any sort of comment about my shoes is Dominic Denton. And I don't think he's about to try to take off points any time soon," she whispered to the other girl. As far as she knew, he wasn't about to even try to talk to her, let alone attempt to argue about her shoes again. "Besides, maybe if we just focus on class, nothing'll happen. Anyway, since everyone's supposed to pair up, you want to?" She hoped Professor Kapoor wasn't just holding his plans for her in or something. He was pretty close with Professor Ashby of the pranks, so she couldn't tell. But if he did anything to hurt her shoes, she was possibly going to lose respect for him. Or at least stop liking Divination as much.

Herminny beamed back at the girl who had just accepted her as a partner and introduced herself. She was speechless for about two seccondscause she was just so happy she had partner. After her brief moment of speechlessness she said, "It's nice to meet you LouAnn, I'm Herminny Telerino, thanks for accepting my partnering invitation. Truth be told I usually end up being the odd ball out os I'm truly glad to have you as my partner.".

Mina continued to span the room and her eyes stopped on Tibi. He didn't look to happy about something. Remembering how she paired up with him in DADA, she smiled and leaned toward his direction.

"Hi, Tibi. Do you have a partner yet?" she asked.

To be honest floriomancy was somewhat foreign to her, but for an odd reason, she felt that she could do it.

Tibi noticed someone was talking to him, as he snapped back to reality. "Oh, hi Mina... no, no partner yet." To be honest, Tibi wasn't thrilled about another first year partnering with him... but at least it was another 'claw.

"Let's go sit over there," he pointed to two chairs where no one was. He grabbed his bag and moved over that way, wondering what the next instruction would be.

Jack looked around for a partner....

Fred was a little worried he was'nt gonna get a partner seeing so many people around him partner up. He then noticed a boy in Ravenclaw about his age mabe a bit older and walked over to him and said, "Hey man, would you like to partner with me?".

'Sure, I'd love to...have a seat. My name is Jack, by the way.' he replied.

Mina gathered her things and followed him over to their new seats. Taking a seat, she pulled out her yexybook and skimmed through it, waiting for the next instruction.

'I wonder what the flowers will tell me,' she thought to herself. 'Hopefully something not as vague as what the runes said.'

Rafe looked around. He seemed to have spaced out a bit and now partners were required. He hated this part he always had a problem finding a partner. He looked around and just sort of called out, "Would anyone like a partner?"

"Thanks, My names Fred by the way", Fred said as he took a seat next to Jack and waited for the professor to explain what they would be doing with partners.

Evelyn looked up when she heard someone calling out for a partner. She noticed the boy that she had talked to at the whomping willow during the scavenger hunt. 'What was his name? Rafe or something? Think so...maybe he could be my partner...' Standing up and stretching slightly, she walked over to him. "Hello Rafe." she said quietly, smiling slightly. "Do you want to be partners?"
