Still not sure how she felt about this, Lux took notes. She wasn't too familiar with this form of divination as she had no practical experience with it...at least until today. Apparently.

As she wondered Professor Cassie would feel once it was revealed that everyone was innocent, Adi caught her attention. He was mouthing something to her, and it took a moment for Lux to realize that he was asking to work with her. Oh. Of course. She returned the nod though it wasn't very enthusiastic. It wasn't the prospect of working with him that was the issue, she was just worried about Bob.

Not sure of the answer to the next question, she remained silent.

Angel was still holding his hand though at least now she had managed to stop the tears from falling anymore, though her sister was upsetting her with saying Bob was already a snack, though the Professor didn't like that which was good.

Angel heard the Professor ask another question. She raised her hand. "Professor do you use something like The Revelio?" Angel asked after thinking about it, she wondered why they didn't use that potion everyone had for people telling the truth.

Angel then suddenly heard them say about Partners and she thought about who to partner. "Benny can you partner me please?" Angel really wanted someone she could trust since she was still very upset about everything that has happened.

Yet, Cassie. YET. AJ wasn't even sure if it was a snake behind all this funny business. She was going off of what Lux had said, but maybe Bob was being toyed with. Would the professor know if he was in distress? Was her turtle senses tingling?

Apparently it wasn't a conspiracy theory according to Cassie. That could be a matter of opinion though. In AJ's mind it was. Whatever it was she was excited for what they were about to do. If someone really did snatch Bob, she wanted to work with them. She would be ALL dramatic about it to. She really couldn't help that Glendower's classes had made her quite the actress.

She had nothing as far as the questioned was concerned. However, she DID have a question. AJ seemed to have tons of those lately. "Could you get good results if you monitor someone's heart rate? If it speeds up when you ask certain questions wouldn't that give them away?" Unless they were a chicken, like her sister was being right now.

Anywho, she needed a partner. "Anybody wanna work with me?"

Good...Angel was calming down.

Benny gave a weak smile as she squeezed his hand back, then turning tonpay attention as Professor Morgan changed the topic they would be learning due to recent events. Coscinomancy. All the Gryffindor knew was that -mancy was associated with divination which made sense given they were in a DIVINATION lesson. As for what it was, he had to rely on his fellow classmates and professor because he was clueless. Even Angel beside him knew more than he.

Could she stop the eying though? He hadn't done it. Nor Angel, AJ and Adi either.

Of that he was certain.

He took what notes he could, using the act to avoid the gaze of the woman since it was getting awkward. Mention of partners came up and he looked to Angel since they were seated next to each other. Maybe it would help keep her calm too. She was ahead of him, already opening her mouth and asking him. "Sure Angel. " As for the spell, Benny thought on it, though he had to admit Adi's suggestion had some merit.

Stuff was happening and stuff was being brought out and people were saying stuff and it was just too much stuff, considering all the stuff that'd made her mood do bad stuff. Norah didn't make any effort to concentrate on any of that stuff, and instead concentrated on tapping her fingers and toes some more. It was much better than all the stuff she didn't know about, anyways, which was pretty much all the stuff Professor Cassie had been asking about. Too bad, really. It was probably really cool, but everything cool needed to be put on hold when turtles were STOLEN from their very own homes. If that wasn't already a rule it really needed to become a rule.

She looked up slowly, though, because AJ was asking for a partner and even though the fourth year really had no idea what they were even doing, it wasn't very nice to leave somebody hanging. Just like it wasn't nice to STEAL a TURTLE. Ahem. Anyways. She paused her tapping to wave a hand at the Gryffindor, trying to grin a little. "I'll...do whatever we're doing with you." What was it, anyways?

This class had taken a bizarre turn. They'd started with turtles and now they were talking about using sieves as a means of deciding whether or not someone was guilty of something. Toby was used to racing thoughts and jumping from topic to topic in his every day life, but this was sort of making his head spin. He creased his brow in concentration, still leaning forward on his arms, and try to follow along with what was happening, though he was still in a state of having copped a major sad about the disappearance of Bob.

Did they really have to partner with someone? Toby was sort of in a mood and only really wanted to work by himself. In any case, he went to grab a sieve and returned to his seat. If they ran out, he'd not be opposed to someone working with him then.

As for the question...? Yeah. No idea. But thinking of an answer was a good distraction, so he raised his hand and tried anyway.

"Aparecium, maybe. That reveals things." And it wasn't only for ink, so... the connection was there. Kinda.

Yessss, she had a taken. Even better... her partner was Norah. Score. The unicorn phone can thingy mabobers that Norah gave her was still hanging on her bed post. They really added something to her dorm.

AJ couldn't help but to smile when Norah didn't seem to know what was going on. Truth was that she didn't either. All she knew for sure was that Cassie had lost it, Bob was about to a turtle snack to possibly a snake, and the room setting was really perfect for a spirit session even is the professor disagreed. As far as the conspiracy-mancy thing... yeah, she had nothing.

"We are going to find out who is a lying, thieving, turtle snatcher..." Dun, dun, DUUUUN. "According to Professor Morgan anyways," she added in a whisper because Cassie really seemed off.

So this wasn't just part of the originally planned lesson. Why would anyone steal a turtle from Professor Cassie? Was this linked to the disappearance of Pebbles? Was the person who stole Bob actually in this room? How did coscinomancy work? Apparently it would help them figure out what happened to Bob. How could a sieve tell you who was guilty? Hopefully they would be able to find Bob with coscinomancy. Why would anyone want to steal Bob? Penelope didn't think that anyone in the class would steal Bob, but it seemed like that was what had happened. Unless Professor Cassie was behind all this, Bob must have been taken by a student in the room. What if whoever stole Bob wasn't in the room? Oh, Professor Cassie had asked another question. What spell did they need to cast on the sieve? Penelope wasn't really sure what spell they would be using. Was it a spell that she should know?

Yikes... had someone actually taken Bob? Someone hidden him in their bag or something? Could PRofessor Cassie just summon Bob? Did it work like that? Perhaps not... Zhenya had no idea what Conscinomancy was, but of course the Divination Professor would prefer to use Divination methods to bring Bob back.

She listened to people explain what Conscinomancy was. Um... using a sieve to guess if someone was guilty or not? How would it work? Surely Professor Cassie would demonstrate it to the class? And... what spell? Zhenya didn't know. No idea, not the slightest idea... so the Snakette remained silent.

She had pulled a sieve and watched as some came up and got one. They didn't have to come up right away, but if they did that was fine. "Now you have to have a partner for this, because as in any court you can't be your own judge. If you need a partner I can help out." Though they better hope they were innocent working with her. "Now as I said you will need to use your wand for this. You will touch the sieve and say damnare ostendere once you have said this make sure the sieve is directly in the center of the table between you and the person that you are doing Conscinomancy on."

She demonstrated these two steps so the students could see what she was doing. "Then you will say the persons full first and last name, Cassiopeia Morgan." No it wouldn't work because she said her own name, but she wanted to show students how to properly do the divination form. "Now if I am guilty and I wasn't saying my own name the sieve will move towards me. If I'm innocent it will stay just as it is. If a person is a very good liar at times the sieve will have a hard time reading, but in the end it will come out. The sieve will shutter or shiver, sometimes move just a little bit. When this happens it means the person could be hiding something or is just very nervous to be the center of attention so he or she seems guilty." Which did happen at times.

"Now what I'd like for you to do is go ahead and take turns doing this on each other. If the sieve moves you will tell me right away, if the sieve shutters, shivers, or moves slightly you will tell me right away as well." She'd figure out who was holding Bob hostage before the end of the lesson. "You may begin."

Ooc: Just as the directions say take turns performing the spell and saying the persons name. DO NOT RP the outcome for the other person they will do that themselves just as in anything we do here on SS that needs another charries outcome. So for example if I was partner with Mj and Nessa, Cassie would say Nessa's full name and then just put she is watching anxiously to see what the sieve will do. Mj would then RP Nessa watching the sieve and say that it moved or did not move and have her react. I'll be moving the lesson on at 9:30 p.m. est.

Stupid answer, stupid ans- hey! He was getting snaps! So did this mean Cassie didn't think it was such a bad answer? Apparently not. Yay! Adi listened to her reply to his classmates. Toby and Angel were thinking like he was while AJ went the muggle way.

Alrightey, so they were moving on. The Hufflepuff made a note of the incantation as he listened to the instructions. Right. He needed sieves. After making all the necessary notes, the Hufflepuff picked up his belongings to move closer to Lux then went off to get two sieves. "Here you go, Lux,'' he said cheerily. Yes, he did notice her look and he figured she was sad about Bob. Come back to us, Bob :/

"Are you ready?" he asked, giving her a quick squish. Hey, one of his closest friends wasn't herself, okay? Adi flopped down. He was going to do Lux's sieve first. Directly into the centre of the table it went between the two Hufflepuffs! ''Damnare Ostendere!" Tap! "Lux Carrington.''

Adi watched the sieve without much interest. It was not like it was going to budge ONE bit!

The sixth year listened around to some of the answers from some of the others. Hoping she would come up with some kind of answer on her own. She just had a basic knowledge of this form of divination. She thought that there was some forms where you ask what you wanted to know. This may or may not be one of those.

Cinna turned around and looked when she heard someone say that she would be her partner. Wait.... She knew this girl. "Kate?" Was it just her or does kids just grow up faster now than when she was that age? "Sure. We can be partners." She smiled at her. Kate had a sieve even better.

Turning her attention back to professor Cassie as she went over the steps. She listened carefully. "I'll go first if that's fine." Not like Kate was the one who took Bob.

Alas Adi and Angel's spell suggest was not right, and AJ's was more a muggle technique, but they all got snaps and Professor Morgan was just going to move them on anyway as she had gotten out the sieves for them all. Ah...that's what she meant, he mused to himself, not having readily connected the word with an image of the object in question. Benny paid careful attention to what was being said, copying spell and behavior to both do and watch out for into his notes before setting his quill down and getting up to retrieve one for him and Angel to use.

Coming back to their desks, the older Gryffindor placed it on the one in front of Angel. "How about I go first and do it on you?" he suggested, pulling his chair around to the front of her desk so they could sit across from each other. That seemed to be pivotal for the effects of the spell and reading.

"Yeah," Kate said, nodding when Cinna asked if it was her. "It's been a while, I think. Almost two years, maybe. I was eleven the last time we really talked, and I'm thirteen now." Not like thirteen was really super old, but being a teenager just made Kate feel so much cooler. "Cinna, right?"

Cinna wanted to go first, so Kate nodded. "Sure, go right on ahead. I figure an older student probably knows how to do this better than me anyway." If Kate had any questions, hopefully she could answer them by watching Cinna. "My full name is Kate Evangeline Addison," she told her, because according to the directions, she'd need to know that.

Kate got herself situated and looked over at Cinna, waiting patiently for the older girl to start.

Oh, crikey... so it was a question of big fat guilt if the sieve moved? Zhenya gulped. She hated these sorts of things, she was always worried she would be falsely accused of doing whatever it was they were accusing people of. And now this! Well, she had already checked her bag, and under the desk and chair. It obviously wasn't her. But anyway, they had to do this. She went up and collected a sieve and looked around. Was anyone else not partnered up?

Listening to Professor Cassie explain the divination method they would be using, Lux felt that it was rather simple if not unnecessary. Was anyone going to turn up guilty? Doubtful.

Adi was taking care of the sieve situation, and she thanked him as he handed one over. There were more constructive things they could be doing right now - like looking for Bob - but it seemed like Professor Cassie was insisting that one of them was involved in the turtlenapping.

"Ready when you are, partner!" she said as she returned the hug. The faster they finished this, the faster Professor Cassie would see that outside forces were involved.

Unsurprisingly, the sieve didn't move an inch or even wobble. "Looks like I'm not guilty after all," she said in an attempt to lighten the mood a little. Now it was her turn to try it out on him. Positioning the sieve so that it was right in the middle of the table, Lux tapped it with her wand. "Damnare Ostendere." Hopefully that was the correct incantation, but she would find out in a moment. "Aditya Rehman."

Angel watched as Benny went and got the stuff they needed, how sweet was that, she was really upset about what had happened this lesson and she really wanted Bob back, why would someone steal him, she also knew that as soon as this lesson finished she would need to go and wash her face, the tears had at least stopped for now.

Angel then heard her boyfriend speaking. "Yeah sure you can go first." Angel now had to figure out why she had to do whilst Benny asked her questions.

Adi knew even without having to do this Lux was NOT the culprit. And like he had thought before, no one here was going to be guilty. He grinned at Lux. "As if you would ever do anything to Bob or any other creature.'' Now it was his turn to sit back and wait. Thankfully Lux seemed to be able to keep her focus despite the situation. The Hufflepuff watched her tap his sieve and say his name.

The Hufflepuff stared at the thing then his eyes flicked to Lux. She had seen that... she had to. But he WASN'T GUILTY! "The sieve's faulty,'' he said, very much perplexed.

Benny waited for Angel's approval before he did anything, wanting to make sure the girl was ready so all went well. Didn't want anyone accusing anyone else if something was done wrong. The sieve already on the tabel between them, he had to focus on the spell and wand action he had to do. "Damnare ostendere," he cast, "Angel Valentine," speaking clearly as he touched the sieve with his wand tip, doing everything as directed. There....that should do it.

Now to wait for the reaction, even though Benny was sure it was going to stay where it was. Angel wasn't lying about Bob...why would she react the way she did if she was? Not that his girlfriend would lie or do something bad like that anyway.

Angel watched as her sieve didn't do anything, she knew it wouldn't but still she was very nervous about the whole situation, why was the Professor interrogating them when it was surely someone else who had taken Bob, she wondered if it was the Professor playing tricks on them, she didn't know but she wanted Bob back and she wanted him back now, he was just so cute and belonged in his pen.

Angel suddenly realised that her sieve hadn't moved at all in the past few minutes. She wondered if she should just give her name, rank and number since she was being interrogated at least it was by boyfriend. "Do I need to do anything else?" Angel pouted this was getting scary.

Finding the thief?! That would be AWESOME if only ti weren't so dreadful and scary. Norah gave AJ a small smile anyways, because she was cool and that meant smiles. Once Professor Cassie was finished with the instructions, she looked down at the sieve and then back up at her partner. "Should I cast it first, then?" What if she cast it all wrong and the thingy thought AJ had done it even though she hadn't? What if AJ HAD done it? Nooo, she wouldn't do something so terrible...right? With a suddenly apprehensive gland at her partner, the fourth year positioned the sieve between them and pulled out her wand. "Here goes nothin'." EXCEPT that it was kind of EVERYTHING, but if the Gryffindor really was an evil turtle stealing thief then it probably wasn't a very good idea to show she was nervous. You never knew what a real live mean person could do.

"Damnare Ostendere!" TAAAP "AJ Valentine!" Wait a sec. That wasn't even her full name. Norah grinned sheepishly at her partner. Oops. She cleared her throat and raised her wand again. "Damnare Ostendere! TAP "Aubrey Janelle Valentine." Turtle thief or not, that was a COOOL name.

Norah wasn't scared, was she? Was AJ the only one who was really excited by the whole thing? Sure, she didn't want anything bad to happen to Bob, but it was thrilling. Things always went down at Hogwarts and AJ had a front row seat. She was just really going to be bummed if someone was the turtle thief and she missed it. As much as she loved working with Norah, she knew she was the turtle thief. In fact you could probably cross every Hufflepuff off the suspect list. Eyes on the snakes though. Not that she was being judgmental or anything. Ahem.

AJ nodded her agreement when Norah suggested they try it out on AJ first. Right now she was distracted. As her fellow fourth year friend got situated, AJ scanned the room. Anything that moved was going to catch her eye. High alert! Scanning, scanning when suddenly she saw something move. Ohhh... somebody WAS a turtle thief. Who was it?

AJ sucked in air. Her eyes were huge and she unknowingly had her mouth hanging open. The sieve that was moving belonged to her boyfriend.

That dirty, rotten, turtle snatching, phony baloney Hufflepuff boyfriend. Was Adi even his real name? Dramatic much? A little bit, but mainly because he was going to be in BIG trouble if he stole a turtle before he stole a unicorn. Did he have no regard all ALL for her? Still, she was a ride or die girlfriend, and she wasn't going to call him out.

"Pssssssst. Adiiii" Did he need help? Blink twice if he needed her to knock over a sieve so he and Bob could make a run for it.

How long had she been staring over there? The sound of her name coming from her partner's mouth brought her attention back. Right. They didn't need to do this now. They knew who the culprit was. It could be wrong though...right?

AJ stared at her sieve. Nothing happened. Of course not. She was completely innocent. It was looking like she was about to become an accomplice though. The lion bit her bottom lip and looked between the professor and Adi, unsure of what to do. Just give her a sign, Adi. Any little sign.

"Looks like I'm in the clear." Not even thinking about Norah possibly seeing what what happening to Adi's sieve until this very moment, she tried to bring the attention back to the task at hand.

"Let's see if you have anything to hide, shall we?" Nothing just happened with Adi. Nope. "Damnare Ostendere." TAP. "Norah Kittredge." Helping Adi escape with the professor's turtle?

Adi STARED at his sieve. Yeah, his eyes had not deceived him. Did something go wrong when Lux cast the spell? Or had someone charmed the object to move? Either way, AJ had noticed. Of course she did. She and Lux hadn't been sitting that far apart.

"AJAAAAAY, I stole him for you, baby,'' he stated so just her and Lux and possibly Norah would hear. Hehe. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Adi couldn't help make the little joke though he was now becoming serious again. Professor Cassie would know better, right? She HAD TO know he wouldn't steal Bob!

The Hufflepuff kept glancing towards his girlfriend, meeting her eyes ever so often. At least he knew SHE knew he hadn't stolen Bob.

They had to work with someone else? Well... alright, but Toby found himself hoping that he didn't end up partnered with the turtle-napper because that would be far too sad for words. Even though they were clearly only borrowing Bob, Professor Cassie might still get mad at them and Toby didn't want to be the one to bring her attention that way.

Toby let out the tiniest of sighs. He couldn't get started until he had a partner, though for all those reasons he was kind of reluctant to actively seek one out. Instead, he put the sieve on his head and slumped a little in his seat, thinking hard. And then, THEN, the answer came to him and he looked back at the professor. She was the one who was most upset about Bob, so clearly she'd be the one least likely to have borrowed him. She didn't need to borrow Bob; she already had him. That way he could participate, worry-free.

"Professor?" Toby said, and the sieve on his head wobbled but stayed up there. "Can I try it out on you? Can you be my partner?" He looked at her beseechingly. "Please?"

As expected, the sieve didn't move a minute inch. It just stayed there on the desk between them, being a regular inanimate object. Which certainly would have been a relief had Benny had even the smallest of doubts as to Angel's status as a liar. As it was, it was merely a confirmation of things so hopefully Professor Morgan was satisfied with his girlfriend's innocence in the matter. "Nope...not for your reading," he answered before unconsciously straightening up in his seat.

"Now you do what I did just using my full name," the older Gryffindor instructed to make sure she knew what had to be done. Catching sight of Adi and Lux who had been nearby, he got the sense something was wrong and seemed confused. Except he couldn't bring himself to call across the room. So he tried to push it aside and act normal so Angel could do her magic.
