Selena was confused. If you're right handed which hand do you use to drink your tea? Right hand. duh? Left handed -> Use left hand. She wrote down notes anyways.

Alex hesistantly raised her hand, "If you're right handed you're supposed to drink it with your left." If the teacher was asking them them that then the logical thing was to drink with the other hand right?

| Aaron smiled when he got the topic of the lesson. And when the professor asked about the types of cups, he had no idea so he decided to stay quiet. But when he asked about which hand to use, Aaron knew i right away. "Sir," he said with the same smile. "You use the non dominate hand to drink the tea while you are drinking it." |

The Head Boy had been absently staring at the tea cup the Professor had begun to make spin around when he awoke from his stuppur at the sound of another question. 'Think Chris you know this one!'
Raised hand, the most common way you would find this Gryffindor in a classroom, "Professor although it sounds strange, isn't the drinker supposed to use their non-preferred hand to drink the tea?" he said thinking about what that had to do with the results found in the leaves.

Hm. Was this a trick question? Abby wasn't sure, but she always drank with her left hand even though she was generally right handed. Sometimes, she thought she was ambidextrous. Except for, she couldn't write with her left hand to save her life. Heh. She raised her hand slowly, still semi-debating in her mind. "Professor, I believe that you drink with the hand opposite your dominant hand," she said firmly. Show confidence, even if you're half-guessing...

What? Was that even a question? If your right handed then use your right, vice versa. But Dianna thought again. This was divination, anything could be possible.
Dianna raised her hand "So... Use your left if your right and and your right if your left???" she was confused and was absent mindely tapping her name tag which said: Quote: Dianna Lyra Malfoy.

Heh. Aiden was just about to ask about what an ambidextrous person would do - not that he was ambidextrous himself, but the question was quickly answered by none other than a second year. She must have been a smart one. Plus, Gold Laksh seemed to say the same about the matter, so their answers must have been correct.
He scribbled the ambidextrous part down on his parchment and looked back to their professor.

She looked up as he asked this question; OOH! She knew the answer to this one - because of Robert's stupid girlfriend. So she raised her hand, "Left-handed people, like me, should drink the tea with their right hand as it is the opposite hand to the hand that you would usually use to drink tea with."
Nod.
Iris wasn't entirely sure that she was right... but her answer seemed to be along the lines of everyone elses. Ish.
She was pretty sure that this was going to mean drinking the tea, wasn't it? Ewwww. Iris didn't like the tea leaves that they used. They were really gross. Or maybe it was the fact that you didn't use milk or sugar with it, if you were going to use the leaves for divination. Either way; the stuff was gross.

How he hated being a weasley. His parents and family expected him to be great because he was an almighty weasley. What was the big deal? It was a name and so what if he was related to some famous guy?
Back to the lesson. Boring. He knew what divination was and didn`t really care about the types of divination. Tea reading. Well he knew a bit about that. His sister had read a cup for him once, just for a laugh. He put his hand up "Your like supposed to use your other hand. If you use your right hand you use the left one and the other way around. Its kinda confusing actually." It had to be right. He actually knew about this.

You drink the tea with your non-dominant hand to stimulate both halves of the brain, as a few of your classmates pointed out," he said, looking at the few who had brought that up. "And, as a few more students pointed out, if you were one of those individuals who happen to use BOTH hands equally, you determine the correct hand by first reaching for the cup, stopping, and using the OTHER hand to drink instead," he explained. "Now, before we get to the fun part and start doing our own tea leaf readings, there is one more concept you need to understand," he said. He stopped the twirling of his wand and catched the cup before it fell from midair to the ground, and placed it back on his desk. "The symbols formed by the tea leaves will fall in different areas of the cup, and there are three regions that you mentally break the teacup into--base, middle, and rim. Tea leaf symbols that fall in the rim section correspond with the present time. The middle shows insight into the near future, and the base repesents the ultimate outcome or conclusion that you should draw from your tea leaves." he explained. That was a lot of info--he hoped they were taking notes! "Before we begin, does anyone know how we determine where the base, middle, and rim sections fall on the inside of the teacup?" he asked. This would be the last question, then he'd get started with the reading part. WOOOT!

Ellie wanted to answer. She wanted points! "Well, if you break it into three... like you would a pie chart or something.. then the base might be the bottom, the middle would be the third by the handle, and the rim could be the other third..." she said, guessing. "Or, if your broke it up straight across I'd say the base would be the bottom section, the middle the middle, and the rim, the outer... from the perspective you drank..." she said...
Then again... you could break it into rings... So confusing!!
