Tori followed the professor's instructions and went to the left side of the room."Hello, Professor Lawson."she greeted him in a light voice.When she saw the cane she couldn't help but ask, "Are you alright Professor?" Her eyes expressed concern as she scanned him for any other injuries.

Tibi had shuffled down the the DADA classroom fully expecting busy work or another professor or something.

Pretty much anything but Lawson standing there. Lawson. Tibi's eyes immediately started to tear as he raced up to the man and threw his arms around the man's waist, taking no notice of the cane. Probably a really good thing that the boy was small, given what had happened.

"You're.. you're back!" Tibi whispered, gratefully. "I.. I didn't know what happened after... after..." Tibi pulled his head back and looked up at the man's face before wiping his eyes.

"Is good to see you, professor."

To be honest she was surprised they were having another DADA lesson after what happened to Professor Lawson, but there he was, cane in hand, making his way along the corridor.You had to admire him really, if anyone had attacked Sarah she'd still be in St. Mungo's refusing to leave...but maybe that was just her.

As the door flung open Sarah entered and gave Lawson a warm smile as she made her way to the right side of the classroom. "I hope you feel alot better soon, Sir.It's nice to see you back."

Seeing Lawson leaning on the cane, Jake bit on his lip hard as he entered the classroom. There were a whole bunch of reasons running through his head as to why he should NOT be here. The most important of which... well...

Yeah.

Because of this reason, Jake kept his gaze averted, his now totally blond hair falling into his eyes. The classroom seemed smaller now... he'd had an epic growth spurt... well... epic-ISH. He now stood at 4'9" and... yeah... he didn't like it. Maybe Lawson wouldn't recognise him?

Pshh.

Moving to the left side of the room, Jake glanced quickly up at Lawson and then away before staring at the floor, hair hanging over his face.

Livvy entered the classroom, glancing around and then at the weary-looking professor. She blinked slightly and stared at the man. WHOA. Lawson was back. She hadn't known exactly what had happened to him but she had definitely gotten the idea that something happened. But it didn't really matter anymore. He was back. That's all that mattered.

"Hello professor! Welcome back. Lookin' gooood," she said, humorously and cheerfully as she made her way to the right side of the room.

YaaaaaaaaaaaaY! Another DADA class Miranda was really looking forward to. Hurrying towards the classroom as to not be late AND get a good seat, a grin was already plastered on her face as she walked inside.
"Hello Professor-...Lawson." she greeted, her voice lower in the end. Eyeing the cane with a worried expression, she could hear the other students greeting him. He's back? BACK FROM WHERE?

What were they talking about?
Instead of pelting him with questions, which he obviously already got many thrown at him, Miranda decided to just go and stand at the right side of the class as instructed.

Professor Lawson was back! Kiri had been afraid that they would be stuck with another Borr to teach... no, to destroy Defence Against the Dark Arts as it had happened with Astronomy, but there he was. He looked terrible, though. Kiri nearly stumbled over her own feet when he opened the door and she saw him. He was leaning on a stick. His face was kind of pale and thin.

Still, it was a very positive change from the bloodied up, unconscious Professor Lawson Kiri had discovered in his office. That had been more than four weeks ago already!

She tried to recover quickly. "Professor Lawson! I'm glad you're, er, feeling better," she ventured, despite the evidence to the contrary. She stepped past him, trying to ignore how heavily the professor seemed to have to rely on his walking aid, and wandered over to the right of the classroom as instructed.

Jack strolled into the room, more than excited that Lawson was back. His lessons were always soooooo fun, and now that they were being split up as soon as they walked into the room--well, that was a sign that fun things were going to come again, right? Right.

"Howdy Professor Lawson!" Jack said happily, waving at the Defense professor as he headed over to the right side of the room.

ZOMG HE HAD A CANE?! How sadddd! He hoped that Lawson would be strong enough to carry out the lesson--if he needed any help, Jack would so offer up his services.

"Hello Professor Lawson." Carter said walking in. He gave him a smile, he looked like he needed it. Then he went to the left side of the classroom.

Ooo, Lawson looking snazzy with a cane?

'Hello Professor!' Destiny greeted him as she slid past him into the classroom. She must have missed the memo where it said Lawson was gone. Or she just forgot he was gone. Everyone else seemed to know but her.
Oh well, she made her way to the left side of the room with all the other little people.
They weren't going to defend themselves against the older people, were they?

Damon walked into the classroom and noticed the students dividing by year on each side of the room. He went over to his correct place and sat down. He noticed the professor and really wondered how he got in his state. He also wanted to know who had done such a thing to a teacher.

Lasca swept into the DADA classroom with her hair tied into a messy bun and her bookbag slung haphazardly slung over her shoulder. She was so ready for this class! With the unexplained disappearance of her two friends, no doubt spending time with their boyfriends, she had thrown herself into her studies. Keeping up with her studies, pouring over books, and resolutely ignoring the ever increasing letters from her Step Monster. Spotting one of her elusive friends, Lasca smiles and heads over to grab the seat next to Sarah.

Her steps falter momentarily when she spots Professor Lawson. He doesn't look too good. Dipping into a near curtsy she crosses the remaining space to her chair quickly and sits down. "Hey Sarah."

The first thing Evelyn noticed when walking to the classroom was the Professor; and his cane. And then she thought of something funny that had to do with Kazi and him making a fashion statement or something. But seeing as Professor Lawson looked really tired and, well, just not so well at the moment, she decided not to say anything but to greet him. "Hello, Professor."

'Wonder what happened to him.' she thought as she walked into the room, giving the Professor a smile before moving to the left side of the room. Sitting next to Destiny, her eyes suddenly widened when she looked across to the other side of the room before whispering to her, "Do you suddenly feel like...really small?"

Mina walked into the classroom and smiled at Professor Lawson. How she did enjoy his lessons. "Hello Professor Lawson," she greeted him as she moved toward the left side of the room.

Seeing Carter, she waved and found a seat. Glancing back up at Lawson, she noticed the cane. Cane? She was a little concerned about that. But she had to admit, he didn't look bad with it. Not many people could look good with a cane, but he did. Silly girl.

Lorcan followed the others into the classroom and sat on the left hand side as instructed. He watched the Professor lean heavily on his walking stick, wondering what had caused him an injury that magic apparently couldn't fix. He looked around to see if Lexi had seen the state that the Professor was in. She was bound to be upset, Lawson was her favourite.

Jacoby entered the room. "welcome back professor. Hope you feel better." Smiling slightly glad to see that the professor was atleast up and moving about. He moved over to the left side of the classroom

Rafe yawned. This week had been so intense, but he wasn't about to miss classes. He walked in quietly and did what was instructed and made his was to the left side of class.

Maybe Lawson will have an amazing story of why he has a cane! Like he had to battle dragons or something..

Destiny came out of her daydream about Lawson fighting dragons when Evelyn sat next to her. 'I feel very small.' she agreed as she looked to the older students. She hadn't noticed how big they were until there was a bunch of them sitting together. 'I hope we don't have to defend ourselves against them.' If they did, Destiny would be doomed.

The humming that Sarah was doing quietly to herself as she waited for the lesson to start was interrupted by a voice.A voice she knew well.Turning in her seat she came face to face with Lasca.Breaking out into a broad smile she greeted her friend back. "Hey Lasca, long time no see." she added with a wink and in a hushed voice. "Wonder what today's lesson will be about.Don't think we have to hex the young'uns do ya?" Sarah looked across at them rather nervously.They may be small but she was betting that at least one of them would be quicker on the draw than her.

"Hello Tori" Marcus replied giving the young girl a smile. he looked down at the cane and chuckled, "I'll be just fine."

Suddenly he was being hugged and he looked down to see young Tiberius. Marcus, ruffled his hair and grinned, "I spent some time in the hospital Tibi but I am alright now." It was in that very moment that Marcus remembered that Tibi had been in the office on that night.

Bending down he spoke in low voice to the young boy, "We need to talk. Come and see me after class."

"Thank you Sarah and it's good to see you also."

Watching as Jake entered the room, Marcus gave him a weird look. He really didn't know what to do with that boy. And what was with the new look? He needed to pay a certain person a visit.

"Thank you Olivia" he said giving her a rather cheery smile also.

Giving Miranda a wink, "Don't worry yourself Miranda, I'll be fine."

"Thank you Kiri. Seems it was you saving me this time" he patted her on the shoulder as she walked passed. "Thanks for that."

"Heya Jack. How you doing today?"

"Hello Carter, nice to see you today."

"Good day to you Destiny" Marcus gave her a nod as she entered the room.

Raising an eyebrow at the young girl, Marcus smirked and bowed back to the girl.

"Hello Evelyn" he replied trying not to laugh at the looks the kids were giving him.

"Hello Mina, glad you could be here."

"Thank you Jacoby. It's nice to be back."

Professor Lawson walked into the classroom and sat down on his desk and placed the cane beside him. "Okay we have much to get through today but before we learn some new spells. I want to talk about wands first."

Holding up the new wand he had recently purchased and tried to look happy about it but quite frankly he would rather his old wand. "So before I was able to acquire this wand, I was without one for a few weeks. And while that was extremely frustrating I was able to manage to get around this by borrowing other people's wands. Now the reason I am bringing this up is because quite a few of you are under the impression that a borrowed wand will not work. Now please tell do you agree or disagree with this and please tell me why?"

Lasca giggled and nodded. "Cursing them would be interesting though." She winked at her friend and giggled again. Shaking her head she reached into her bag and took out the supplies she would need for this class. Once finished she straightened back up and righted herself in her seat. Sighing, she put her head in her chin. "What have you been up to lately?"

Borrowing wands. Evelyn was still a little upset that a certain Professor had used her wand practically without asking, and then the whole devil's snare incident...*shudder*

Raising her hand, she started to speak, but her tone was a little...tense. "Like, not work at all? I would have to disagree with that, because technically the wand that you are borrowing would still work, but it just won't be as...powerful I guess you could say...as the one that specifically chose you." she said, kinda half and half on thinking her answer right. 'Plus it would just feel all funny using a different wand.'

"Well each wand is connected to the master," Rafe said with a raised hand. "Unless you defeat the master of the wand borrowed it won't work properly for you. Like the elder wand for example. It's had several masters because each new owner defeated the one before. So a borrowed wand won't work properly unless you are the master of the said wand."

Blink. Blink. Well... that was... something... to ponder. After thinking for quite some time, Livvy held her hand up, though in a rather hesitant matter. "Well... professor. It might matter it might not. I don't know if the wand choosing is related to the matter. Wands choose the witch or wizard but that's in a matter of ownership so it may possibly factor in to why a borrowed wand may not work. Also, wands may also work in a manner similar to a broomstick. You have to be firm and strong with it, but if someone uses it and is under the impression that it may not work, they won't exactly be firm or strong with it. So I sort of have two possible theories, though I can't really decide on whether or not I agree or disagree. It's probably something that you'd have to experiment to actually know," she said, nodding her head. Raaammble.
