Stepping into the arena, you are immediately enveloped with the light shining into the room, either morning or evening depending on what time you decide to enter. If you can tear your gaze away from the intricately designed windows and high ceilings could, you can see to the very right of the room, there is the long platform in which supervised duels will take place while four benches on either side are placed at a safe distance for those who would like to sit and watch. Just ahead of the platform in the right corner, there is a door, though pay no attention to it. It's locked for a reason.
Towards the back wall, there are various types of practice dummies, both stationary and moving, depending on what difficulty the practicer wants. Don't be afraid to go all out with your spells, for these dummies are charmed to repair themselves. There is one practice dummy set aside that will shoot spells back to the practicer, however, permission from a Professor is required to use it. To the left side of the arena are two sets of stands, eight seats high, that look out to the entire arena, comfortable for those who would just like to watch what's going on all around or for general purposes such as studying or relaxing after a long day in the arena.
The middle of the room is quite empty, due to the fact that the defense Professor enjoys presenting lessons in here, but please, despite the brilliant light that shines through the arena due to the large windows, it is not some place to sunbathe or fall asleep. You will be levitated out with a good dose of cold water splashed on you if caught.

The Arena was always bright and it as a good thing that Adi had remembered to cram his glasses on. Otherwise, he'd be suffering from another one of his major headaches. Scanning the Arena, he noted Angelfish wasn't there as yet. He was not surprised as he was certain she was being fashionably late. It would be the first time he was going to have a duel with her and he was quite looking forward to it. Of course he would still be having duels with the girlfriend and best friend later down in the school year.
To pass the time, the fifth year surveyed the dummies. He decided that sometime he should have a go at them, particularly the moving ones. The practice would come in useful for DADA OWL.

Angel giggled, she was going to win or she was going to pout at the end of the match, not that she was going to tell Adi that. "No going easy on me, okay." Angel was confident in her own abilities.

Angel giggled at Adi. "I wanted to be fashionably late." Angel smirked, "I have a feeling your going to lose today." Angel giggled as she looked around at the dumbies. "I'm going to take your hair off I think, it could use a haircut." Angel smirked as she looked to see what her fake bro's reaction would be.
She then bowed as she looked at him before smirking again. "Hey Bro, I have a great idea for my first spell." Angel giggled as she stopped bowing and without thinking she used her first spell. "I think some water will cool you down, maybe you should have brought your swimwear." Angel giggled. "Aguamenti!" Angel did the want movement and waited to see what happened.

Angel couldn't believe what she was doing. ""Finite." Angel managed to say after a few more verses. "I wanted to give you a fair chance, so I told you the spell." Angel stuck her tongue out at Adi.
"Oh we'll just have to see about that." Angel smirked. "Avis!" Angel had heard about this spell but she didn't know what it was supposed to do. "Is that better Adi?"

Ahhh! Birds! Adi was briefly impressed at Angel and her doing an advanced charm before birds came pelting after him. "Immobulus!" He did the weirdly shaped wand movement and produced blue light. But the birds were frozen in flight! Awesome!
"Colloshoo!" Incomplete rectangular movement was done too! Let's see what happens to Angelfish.
Angel giggled. "Who's says I don't sing for Benny?" Angel smirked and then she was being hit by another spell. "OH you!!" Angel felt her feet stuck to the floor. She thought about ending it but decided against it because she had just suddenly got a wicked idea, the hair could wait.
Angel had heard about this spell and so she decided to use it. "Mucus ad Nauseam!!" Angel did the wand movement and hoped that the spell worked because she wanted to see what Adi was like with a cold.

Uh oh! The Curse of the Bogies! There was NO WAY that Adi would be getting hit with that. Nope! He HATED being sick in any form. "Protego!'' With a repeat of that Spell, he was safe and sound from a runny nose and whatever else that accompanied that Curse.
"Titillando!'' Adi made the appropriate movement that sent purple light Angel's way.
Angel had been hoping to see Adi get ill so him blocking it was a shame. ""Protego!!" Angel shouted as she saw Adi using a spell on her and she smiled when it worked... she hoped that she would be able to use the curse on Adi and she had an idea.
"How's AJ today?" Angel asked him innocently. "And what you doing later? You'll help me with my hair won't you?" Angel gave him her best puppy dog eyes before she pointed her wand and. "Mucus ad Nauseam!!" Angel did the wand movement and then she smiled wondering if her diva distraction had worked or not.

Help her with her hair? That question distracted him more than the ones about AJ and what he was going to be doing later on. What did he look like? Her hairdresser? Hmph. His distraction worked to Angel's advantage and Adi suddenly found himself with a drippy nose. Ugh! This was going to cost him big time.
Holding his right upper arm just below his nose to stem the drippyiness, he raised his wand in Angel's direction. "Anteoculatia!" Ha! If the spell worked, she and Benny could be Mr and Mrs Rudolph the red nose reindeer... since he had successfully cast the same spell on Benny last term.
Angel was totally laughing at Adi so she didn't see the spell until it was too late, though she didn't care. "Hey look at me the hottest Reindeer on the planet." Angel gigged then she smirked he was sick now and she had Antlers which meant he couldn't escape, she managed to counter the sticky shoe spell because she needed to be able to move.
Angel got down in the attack position her Antlers at the ready and she charged.
"CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Angel giggled as she started to run at Adi. "Not your best choice was it?" Angel wondered if you were actually allowed to charge them but that wasn't her intention anyway... this was just a little distraction to make Adi a bit worried.
"Expelliarmus!" Angel said when she got closer and she stopped charging after pointing her wand at Adi and doing the wand movement... she wondered if the spell would hit.

Adi wasn't feeling so good. The runny nose had increased and he felt as though he had REALLY bad head cold too. Despite this, he tried to make a joke to Angel. "Sorry to burst your bubble, Angelfish,'' he said, as he suddenly felt weak in his knees. "Benny made a hotter reindeer.'' But there! He could call Benny and Angel Mr and Mrs Reindeer now... right after he got up from the floor and he was back to his usual bouncy self.
Yup. Because that's where the Hufflepuff was currently- on his back on the floor of the Dueling Arena, upper arm still pressed over his nose. Maybe he could take a few moments rest before hobbling off to see the Healer. Oh look. He had also lost his wand. When had that happened? O_O But that could only mean one thing.
"Looks like you win, Angel. Well done.'' Could she even hear him? His voice sounded so tiny.
Angel looked around concern on her face as she found Adi on the floor. "ADI!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed as she ran over to him. "You need to see someone?" Angel heard him whisper something but she had no idea what it was. "I'm sorry." Angel pouted... she hadn't meant to make him ill and now she was frantically searching in her mind for a solution but at the minute she couldn't think of any spells that worked.
"Want me to get Benny." Angel had asked him to come down and visit him later and she had told him about the duel earlier so she hoped that he might come here if not she would have to leave Adi for a few whilst she went and searched for Benny and at the minute she didn't want to leave Adi all alone.

Eh? Angel wanted him to use her as a rest? She was going to try to get him to the hospital wing by herself? Surprisingly, his brain figured that she might be afraid to leave him alone. So kind she was.
"Sure.'' The Huffepuff struggled to boost himself again by using his dominant hand. "My wand,'' he muttered. It had to have had fallen out of his hand though he didn't know where it had landed. Getting unsteadily to his feet, Adi put his left hand around Angel's shoulder though he tried his best not to lean much of his weight against her. She was so petite, yo. "Don't worry about it. The Healer will fix me up." They needed to get to the Hospital Wing pronto! His sleeve was damp from the drippy nose.

Benny had given up on reading and went in search of his friends. Angel had told him that she and Adi would be dueling today but hadn't given an exact time. So the fifth year decided to head down to the dueling arena to check and see whether or not the two of them were still there. However as he slipped quietly into the room, it certainly was how he expected he might find them. His Hufflepuff best friend looked like he had some kind of flu and his girlfriend was sporting the antlers that usually graced his iwn head after a duel with Adi.
"What happened?" he asked concerned as he hurried over to the two of them, moving to take the other boy from Angel. Other then the actual duel of course.
Angel looked at Adi as he started to get up with her support. "I've got your wand here Adi." Angel smiled as she gave his wand back to him, so hope that she could sort things out with Adi because she was really upset about everything that had happened in the duel.
"Benny." Angel gave a sigh of relief as her boyfriend came into the room. "I thought of a spell that I thought would be good and I asked him if he would do my hair to distract him and the spell worked a lot better than I thought it would." Angel was still upset. "I really am sorry Adi."

"Look, it's Mr and Mrs Reindeer,'' Adi said he wobbled a bit but quickly grabbed on to Benny. He was much sturdier to hold onto than Angel and Adi had no problem at all with dumping ALLLLL his weight on his bestie. "Benny, your girlfriend wants me to be her hairdresser." Hehe. As if he would be.
Oh, his wand. "Thanks, Angelfish.'' Adi pocketed his beloved Hippogriff core wand. "Stop saying you're sorry. If you say it one more time, I'll disown you. I can be fixed.'' No, he wouldn't actually disown her Really, he didn't mind the spell at all. The little sister had done well to defeat him.

So his girlfriend had managed to get an upper hand over his bestie during the duel. Good going Angel! "I'll have to remember that," Benny mused, remember he and Adi had already claimed each other for their own duel somewhere and when during the term. It was just the matter of finding some free time together and deciding they were ready to give it ago. Well maybe just the distraction...not the sickness spell that the Hufflepuff was dealing with.
That was just gross.
"Funny, Sir Sick," he returned, readjusting his hold on his friend as Adi seemed to stumble before grasping more tightly at him. As for the hairdresser bit, Benny had only one thing to say. "Well you do so well with your own." His fellow fifth year did take pride in his locks and hate when they weren't right.
"But for now...the nurse to get you two better." With that said, he took the lead of the small group, heading out of the area to make their way upstairs.
A spot in the schedule of the days that amazingly there had been no classes or events scheduled. There really seemed to be tons to do lately though it could have just been his imagination or a change in his awareness of things. Regardless, Benny and Adi had planned to get together for a duel in the defense arena and the Gryffindor made his way towards the area when the time was drawing close. Surprisingly he noticed that he was the first of the two to arrive for the spell practice.

Sir Sick? Hehe. Benny was funny. Did he know that? Adi would enlighten him, anyway. "You're funny.'' And the Hufflepuff was miserable. It felt as though all his energy had gone from him. Was there no end to this darn runny nose? "For AJ,'' he mumbled. That was the only reason he took extra good care of his hair. She liked his hair a lot.
The nurse... yes. A trip to the Hospital Wing and Healer Murdoch would make him all better. The Puffer allowed himself to be practically carried out by his bestie.

Another day, another duel!
Adi happily made his way to the Dueling Arena or his duel with Benny. The Gryffindor was always fun to duel because the Hufflepuff could always try out the fun spells on him. But mostly because he always put up a reallllly good fight.
"Heya, Dragon! How's it going?'' Adi was surprised to find his bestie there already there. "Looking forward to our duel, huh?'' he teased, already going to stand opposite of the other boy. "Ready when you are.''

"Hey Hippogriff," Benny returned before shrugging slightly. "Alright I guess." Pretty normal in all honesty...neither good or bad, busy or free at the moment. "Yeah I am," he admitted to his friend, nearly always enjoying when they worked together and when they dueled so technically this was both.
With the Hufflepuff saying he was ready, the Gryffindor nodded and moved off to one side so they weren't on top of each other. Ben then took out his wand and bowed before casting his first spell. Deciding to take it easy to start out with.

Good, good. When things were alright with the Dragon, the Hippogriff was great was well. At least the studying they had been doing hadn't seem to have taken a toll on either of them... so far.
After bowing, Adi readied himself knowing Benny would be throwing the first spell at him. The Hufflepuff was ready. "Protego!'' The temporary shield was enough to prevent him from loosing the wand.
"Locomotor!'' He raised his wand. Had he done it right so that he could move Benny around as he pleased? Look at that... the first dragon whose flying about could potentially be controlled.
