It was time for Defense Against the Dark Arts class and Jasmine arrived early. When she walked inside the arena, she found that she was the first student there. Professor Romanos was nowhere to be found so Jasmine claimed a mat and sat down. She wondered what they would be doing today......hopefully something fun. Jasmine started to do a few stretches while she waited for the rest of the class to arrive.

Eden skipped towards DADA class in a cheerful mood. She was whistling--not a familiar tune to anyone who wasn't in her family. Some Gaelic song her mother liked to sing to her when she was small--but Eden didn't know the words. Just the tune.

Peeking her head inside she didn't see really anyone there yet! OH JOY. Eden liked being by herself sometimes--stretching as she made her way to a mat, she plopped down and swung her bag off her shoulders.

MERLIN. IT WAS SO BRIGHT IN HERE. Eden had to squint. She even took out some SUNGLASSES and slipped them on her face because WHOAH she was going to go BLIND or something. Leaning back on her elbows, she waited for others to get in.

OH HI JASMINE! Eden waved at the prefect and smiiiiiled. "How's it going?" she asked softly, still chillin' like a villain WITH HER SUNGLASSES.

Woah!

It was bright in here. Adi blinked furiously, trying to get his eyes to adjust to the room. Professor Romanos wasn't there but Jasmine was. Smiling, the Hufflepuff headed over to her. He was going to be sitting next her today.

"Hi, Jasmine.'' He plopped down on one of the mats. "Looks like you're a lot eager to do some exercising.'' Hehe. Oh. And heeeeey, girl from the Book Club (Eden).

For once in her life she was actually pretty early for a class, and she made her way down defense with a smile on her face. It was going to be a good day, she could just feel it. Things were okay between her and Adi again, and the Ian memory was pushed to the back of her mind.

As she made her way into the class, her eyes instantly started to water. Man, was it just her or was it SUPER bright in here? Once her eyes adjusted a tiny bit she noticed that it wasn't just her because Eden was wearing sunglasses. "Got anymore of those?" Because AJ never would have imagined that she would have needed them.

Jasmine was there with her boyfriend Adi and since they were both recently on good terms, she decided to go over and sit with them. "Hey guys." Was everybody in as good of a mood as she was?

Zhenya made her way up to Defence against the Dark Arts, hoping that maybe she could learn a thing or two that lesson that she could use if she ever saw her evil cousin again. Her damaged hand twinged as the thought of her cousin, and she buried it into her pocket; gloved of course.

She walked into the room, which felt familiar despite her years of absence. She walked in and noticed quite a few people. "Hi everyone," she said cheerfully to Jasmine, Adi and AJ. There was another Eagle girl there she recognised but hadn't met before, so she just smiled at her. She found a mat close to Jasmine's and sat down.

Defence Against the Dark Arts was one of those subjects that had sort of slipped under Toby's radar. While he was confident about subjects like Herbology and Ancient Runes and all that, he had then devoted a lot of his time and energy to subjects like Arithmancy and History of Magic and so on. Then there were a few subjects that had essentially gotten hardly any attention at all in his OWL study, having fallen into that grey area in between the two extremes. This class was one of them. And there was... how long left 'til the exams? One month? Two? WOAH BOY. Not much time at all. So Toby was absolutely totally definitely for sure for sure ready for class today, ready to focus and ready to learn. Every little detail was helpful, at this point.

The Hufflepuff looked around as he entered, to see if there was anything out of the ordinary with the classroom, and then to check if the professor was there. The answer was 'no' to both of those questions. Well... it was pretty bright in here today, but Toby didn't really consider that such a big deal. Somewhat jittery, but still super smiley and friendly, he made his way into the classroom and took a seat on a mat right by one of the windows. Usual spot.

The couple of people in here he knew, Eden and Adi, got smiles and waves of greeting. Hiiiii friends.

Defense time! Caleb actually enjoyed this class - and the little yoga workout he got in class as well. Yoga was TOUGH. Way tougher than he had originally thought and stuff. His abs were looking goooood, but he knew he had to keep up some more rigorous exercises if he really wanted to see any results.

No professor, as usual. He took a seat in his usual desk and pulled out his notes. He couldn't remember if he'd been in this class before...or if he'd been...what was the word? Possessed? Ugh. He wasn't sure. He was just pretty sure that his dark span of absent memories included the last lesson, he just hoped he wasn't TOO far behind...

Norah entered the room at a cheerful pace but stopped to blink furiously right as she entered. Woooah. Bright. Very bright. Waving a quick hello to Jasmine, Eden, and Adi before finding a seat right near the front. After pulling her materials out of her bag, she stretched out on her purple mat and rested her head on her arms. Closing her eyes with a blissful smile, she let out a long, slow breath. Ahh, this was the life.

Ian headed into the arena for DADA. He noticed the professor wasn't about and decided to head over to a seat near Norah. He waved at the others as he claimed a spot. He pulled his satchel off and said hello to Norah. He hoped this would be an exciting class. It would be a gret way to prepare for a new summer.

Aaah, now this was part of why Lux loved Spring. Summer was her favourite season, but Spring was a close second and she loved how nice it was outside.

Making her way across the warm and sunny arena she took a seat after waving to Jasmine and Adi. Adi's girlfriend, AJ got a wave too. "Hey, guys!" She wondered where the Professor was and hoped that Bay would arrive soon.

Defence was great and all but Merlin, this ROOM?! What in the name of Merlin? It was as if he had been blinded by bright sunlight as soon as he stepped into the arena. Not even holding his hand up to shield his eyes helped much. Not when he could still see spots of white light everytime he blinked. Jeez, at least it felt nice and warm in here.

When his eyes finally adjusted to the brightness, Grayson managed to take a look around, only to notice........

............ that Romanos wasn't there.

And then his eyes found the other people in the room. Students. Some of whom he actually got along with and others he didn't know and hardly cared for. Had THEY done something to her? HMMMMM? Freaking rude, that was. Pick on a less cool professor, mkay?

Giving a 'sup nod and a smile in the direction of the people he got along with -- ie, the cool people -- Grayson headed over towards an empty mat and sat down. What were they meant to do now? Wait? See if she turned up? Here's hoping she didn't forget about the lesson because he was actually looking forward to it. Defence, man. It was one of the subjects he was dead confident he was gonna pass with flying colours, as long as he was familiar with the spells he had to use. Just saying.

Oh, wow. Wasn't it bright today?? Dec's still-waking eyes did not appreciate this, nope. He walked into the arena, shielding his eyes from the open windows, to find that the brightness was also coming off the floor. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH. IT WAS EVERYWHERE. The eighteen year-old shielded his face from the ground to, only to end up stumbling around looking for a mat. UGGGHHHHH NOOOOO. Sticking an arm out, he felt around for the nearest mat with hope that he wouldn't touch anything else that wasn't a mat.

Holy kneazle who let the sun in? Lex squinted as she entered the arena. You could tell it was getting closer to summer with this kind of weather and it left the Gryffindor in a surprisingly good mood. Summer meant no more Hogwarts and all the freedom she could stomach before properly starting her life. Just had to get through the last month and some. No big deal. It was certainly easier now that she'd gotten back her wand and candy bag. Nothing else mattered--until NEWTs came around then it'd be everything on overdrive again.

In the absence of the Professor, Lex simply took a seat and waited. What else was there to do? Converse? Nah, she'd pass on that for now.

Angel was looking forward to this lesson and she skipped into the classroom because everything was so perfect... the Potion class had made her realise that life was full of lots of lovely things. "Hi everyone." Angel smiled, this was going to be awesome and she hoped that everything would go great and

Were was the Professor... surely she was normally here to great them.

Kace was actually feeling good this morning. He had his breakfast and got some good 12 hours of sleep last night. He felt so refreshed. As he made his way to the DADA classroom, he noticed it was brighter than usual. He squinted and let his eyes adjust. He wished he could have brought some sun glasses. As his eyes adjusted to the REALY bright room, he noticed the Professor wasn't here yet. He shrugged and went to go sit down on the purple matts waiting for the lesson to start. As he looked around to see anyone was in the lesson, he noticed Lux and he waved to her and gave her the sup nod.

Wiiiiiiiiiiide open windows meant a very happy Sophie every time she entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. It was so BRIGHT and so CHEERFUL.

It was becoming strange, though, that time and time again the professors were showing up for their classes AFTER Sophie arrived to them. Weren't professors supposed to be there early and make sure no one like... destroyed property or got into a fight? Soph, for one, didn't trust anyone to not be an idiot when there was no staff member present, ESPECIALLY in this particular classroom. The Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom was a place that was just WELCOMING people to shoot off spells and start conflict, wasn't it?

She kept an eye on each and every student present as she crossed into the room, suspicious of their irresponsibility examining who was already there and offering some smiles of acknowledgement before moving to sit on the mat behind Tobes. She gave him the softest of pokes to let him know she was there, then smiled at him broadly and went ahead to get out her materials for class.

As he walked into the DADA classroom for the latest lesson there were two things that Benny noticed. One...Professor Romanos was no where to be seen. And two...Adi, Angel and AJ were already there besides a handful of other fellow studies. The fourth year slowly and quietly entered further into the room looking for and trying to decide on a place to settle down finally deciding to stick with the group of friends. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad with at least the girls around.

"Hey..." he said simply as he sat down, his book bag coming to rest beside him as he prepared himself for what was to come. The boy currently choosing to avoid eye contact for the moment as he got things out.

Blink, blink.

Yeah, she was pretty sure that one could go blind if they weren't careful, since it was so bright in the room. Was it a result of the extremely shiny floor? Because she was pretty sure that the sun wasn't that bright on it's own, not yet anyway. Though, she did welcome the fact that the windows were open. Let the springy air i........ "Whoa!" One Greek girl sliding onto her backend here!

Once the sliding stopped, Heather sat up and gave herself a once over. Didn't seem like anything was injured. Except for when she got up, that was. Her ankle hurt. Like, she could hardly stand on it.

MEDIC!!!!!!

Penelope was looking forward to the DADA lesson. Walking into the dueling arena, she noticed that Professor Romanos was not there. The light and the open space in the arena made her happy. She should really come in here more often. Choosing a purple yoga mat, Penelope sat down on the mat. Class hadn't started yet, so she might as well do some yoga while she waited for class to start.

You know what Zander wasn't looking forward to?

Another awkward greeting, that's what.

Coming into the Defense Against the Dark Arts room always guaranteed one of those. So one could imagine why he came in rather reluctantly. However, upon further inspection-- NO ROMANOS IN SIGHT?!?! WHAAAAAT?

Christmas round two!!!!!

Ahem. But she'd probably be here soon, yeah? So YUP running to the mat that was the furtherest from where the Professor normally took her seat. HEHEH. He was saved.

Zeke had practically raced from the Great Hall to HERE. Cause, his favourite class was one - or at lease, ONE of his favourites. It was hard to pick just the one, there were so many, and they were all so different. But at any rate, this was one he'd been looking forward to on a regular basis.

Stepping into the room, Zeke froze like a deer in headlights. WHY so much light? ... After blinking off the shock and adjusting to the current class conditions, Zeke proceeded forward and claimed himself a mat and table. Bag on table. Him on mat. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee. Still no Professor though??? Eh.

He offered his peers warm smiles, and small waves too. Hey Lex! Hey Zhenya! Hey AJ, Angel, Adi, Jasmine and well... just EVERYONE.

Too bright.

That was the first thought that popped into Brooklyn’s head as she’d arrived at the arena for the next DADA lesson, followed by ‘Professor Romanos isn’t here.’ Not that she could really do much about the latter thought. It just meant she had nobody really to greet to maintain her position in the eyes of the professors. It gave her more time to adjust to the sunlight that had practically glared into her eyes as soon as she’d stepped into the room, though. If it was possible to give sunlight a LOOK, she would have. Springtime meant sunlight, and it meant it was closer to summer and her birthday. To being twelve finally, but that didn’t make it any less of a shock when she was inside. The corridors hadn’t been this bright, and she didn’t remember the Great Hall being this bright either.

She still made her way to a mat near the front and where she suspected the professor would end up as usual, sparing a glance for the few people she’d known who were already on their chosen mats. Norah, Jasmine, Grayson… Aside from that, she’d just settled into a cross-legged position on her mat, setting her bag in her lap for the time being. She didn’t need to say anything if she didn’t feel like it, and it was up to the others if they wanted to say anything to her. She didn’t care either way.

Still wearing her shades, Eden looked up when that kid from her book club group came in. Adi? Or something LIKE that, at least. Lousy with names, she was. But he got a wave, yes he did. She didn't know why but wearing this sunglasses made her feel cool. And she didn't realize it, but she was even ACTIN' all cool, too. Nodding at AJ all..cool-like--"Sup--"

Whut.

Had she just said...'Sup.' That sounded like such a Grayson word -___- Eden didn't even see herself on Grayson's LEVEL of cool, okay? But these SHADES man!

Some snake [Zhenya] decided to wave at Eden, which was cool, because Eden was liking all this ATTENTION okay? Was everyone just like HEY LET'S BE SUPER NICE TO EDEN TODAY or something? Eden didn't mind at ALL. HEH.

HI TOBY. Eden nodded at him, too, and pulled her sunglasses down her nose so that he could see her eyes--AND SHE WINKED AT HOME.

One of Eden's favorite little firsties came in--Norah--and Eden decided to just wave at her rather than try to be cool anymore because she honestly WAS PROBABLY EMBARRASSING HERSELF.

Oh looky! More people! MUCH more people. People were awesome. Adi liked people. Hehe.
HAIIIIIII Zhenya, Tobias, Norah, Lux, Grayson, Zeke and Angel. They all received grins and nods.

"Hey, AJ,'' Adi said smiling at his girlfriend. "You're in an extra good mood,'' he observed. Maybe she was enjoying him not being mad at her anymore. The fourth year turned his head in Benny's direction upon hearing his voice. What? He was still maintaining a distance from Adi? The Hufflepuff shook his head.

"I'm not mad at you anymore, you know,'' he said, addressing the side of Benny's face. How could he stay mad? It wasn't in his DNA. Plus he remembered Benny's look when he realised he had failed the finals. Poor lost Dragon/Lion. "I get that Angel had all your attention and you were under the effects of the poison.''
