First of all, I expect you all to have read, the
SS Board Rules. Learn them, love them, cherish them, and treat them with respect. Make sure you follow them, too.
In The Classroom
Participation in my classroom is absolutely optional, but I encourage you to join in! You will earn points for your house, learn something about charms, AND have a rocking good time.
1. If you are late, please DO NOT announce your tardiness or your premature departure. It will slow down the lesson, and also result in a loss of house points. I will always alert you as to when the lesson officially begins (after which, if you post your arrival, you will be considered late and suffer the consequences) and when the lesson is officially over. I automatically assume your character was on time and present for the entire lesson.
2. Please do not clutter up the board with OOC (out of character) comments. If you MUST let someone else know something OOC, please use the PM (private messaging) system. Excessive OOC comments will result in post deletion, and may result in a warning.
3. Please keep IC (in character) classroom chatter to a minimum. It also clutters up the board and detracts from the lesson. Just because I'm not currently online doesn't mean Professor Ashby isn't in the classroom. I'm a-watchin' you! O_o
4. Please raise your hand before speaking in class (while class is in session). You don't actually need to wait for me to call on you before speaking, but just say something like:

5. Please respect me and your fellow classmates. The Golden Rule is your friend.
6. Please remember that I am human. I have a life outside of Snitchseeker, so please do not send me PMs or IMs asking me why I haven't graded homework or responded to you right away in the classroom. I promise I'll get to you.
7. If a prefect, Head Boy/Girl, or I tells/asks you to cut out whatever it is your character is doing, I suggest you listen.
8. Lastly, please have fun! Charms is a fun subject, and I'm going to do my best to make it fun for you. If you have suggestions, go ahead and send them my way (via PM, please). Also, please do not be afraid to approach me (whether it be IC, through the PM system, or even on MSN). I don't bite and I'm actually really fun and nice.
Homework
- Homework is not mandatory, but it is an extremely easy way to earn house points. I very strongly encourage you to do it. Who knows? You may learn something.
- I really enjoy and appreciate creativity (within reason, of course). You may or may not get bonus points if I find your work deserving. hehe....
- ALL HOMEWORK MUST BE SUBMITTED AS PER THE RULES BELOW:
- All homework MUST be PMed to me, cake.ninjak, to be counted for credit.
- All homework MUST be titled "Charms Homework #__"
- At the top of the PM, please include your USERNAME, HOUSE, and MEMBER ID (If you do not know how to access your member ID, click the spoiler tag)
- Please DO NOT copy another student's homework. If you need help, feel free to contact me or another student, but do not (I repeat, DO NOT) copy another student's homework. I will know, and dire consequences will follow.
- ALL HOMEWORK IS DUE BY 11:59 PM EST TWO WEEKS AFTER THE DATE POSTED. (For your convenience, I will always post the due date)
- I will post all lesson information and homework information in my announcements thread in addition to the bulletin board of all four houses.
Again, please do not be afraid to approach me with any questions you may have.
