Here's another post! Thanks for waiting patiently! 
“We shouldn’t do this,” Hermione finally concluded, pulling away, though she figured she could do this forever. Her heart was pounding.
“You’re right,” Harry agreed, sitting up straight and sliding off the back of the unicorn. He helped Hermione down, but pushed her up against the statue’s side and kissed her again. “Sorry, I can’t help it.”
Giving him an amused glance, Hermione took his arm. She could seriously feel her lips pulsing, as if they had a life of their own. They felt hotter than every other part of her body, maybe even blazing.
When they reached the indoors of the castle, the awkwardness caught up with them. Hermione dropped Harry’s arm and they stuck their hands in their pockets, unwilling to look at each other.
Ginny noticed them come in together and beckoned to Hermione. Hermione walked over without a word to Harry, who simply ogled at her and shook his head as if to clear it, then wandered up the staircase.
“What were you two doing?” Ginny demanded, though she didn’t look very angry, more curious. “I thought I saw you two snogging on that statue…”
Hermione sighed and closed her eyes. What was with her making all these irrational decisions all of a sudden? It was as if the real Hermione had taken a break.
“Yes, that was us,” she admitted under her breath, flushing considerably.
“What about Ron?” Ginny asked. The expression on her face was unfathomable. Then they noticed Ron and Lavender coiled on the other side of the common room. Hermione turned her head and snorted in disgust.
“I’ve taken a break from him. Honestly. Look at him! He’s like some hungry animal all of a sudden.”
“Not so different looking than you and Harry,” Ginny commented, her gaze hard upon Hermione, as if daring her to blow up at her.
Hermione opened her mouth to retort, but closed it and grinded her teeth. “You’re right, Ginny. I don’t even know what I’m doing. It’s like…well, strange. Completely mental, as Ron would say—“ she stole a glance at him, but he was still snogging away.
Ginny touched Hermione’s shoulder. “You’ve got to sort it out. All of you are acting so strange, you know? If you don’t do something now, you won’t be the same again.”
Biting her lip, Hermione nodded a bit. “I’ll try. But it’s so hard with the attraction. I don’t even know why I’m attracted to my old friends. I sometimes wish things were back to how they were in first year.” She looked over at Ron again. “I really do.”

Ron moaned on his bed, feeling the searing pain in his stomach. What was happening? He opened his eyes and as they adjusted, he could make out the figures of Harry and Hermione.
“What are you two doing here?” he asked groggily, barely moving his lips.
“You’re in the hospital wing, Ron,” Harry explained. “Remember that mead you drank? It was poisoned.” Harry continued to explain how he ended up in a white-sheeted bed.
Hermione stood stock-still beside Harry, her face white as chalk. Now colour was returning. No matter how much she despised Ron at the moment, she couldn’t help but feel relieved to know that he was all right.
When Harry finished his explanation, they fell silent. Ron shut his eyes, but left them a crack open to see how Hermione was taking this. She simply wrung her hands from time to time. The unease in the room between all three of them was so dense it could be felt. Harry and Hermione soon left to give Ron his rest.

That night Hermione couldn’t fall asleep. Finally deciding to do what was on her mind after much tossing and turning, she slipped on her slippers and padded down the stairs. She made her quiet way to the Hospital Wing.
Moonlight reflected from the floor as she soundlessly opened the wing door. On the far side, Ron lay motionless on a bed. Hermione felt an ache in her heart as she approached him, making sure not to make a noise.
Pulling up a chair, she studied his peaceful face. “I’m sorry, Ron,” she whispered, tears in her eyes. He couldn’t possibly know how much she cared for his well-being. As much as he was being unfair to her, she shouldn’t have returned the ‘favor’. Sparkling tears illuminated by the moon fell onto the sheets. One touched his cheek and slid down it onto the white pillow.
Sniffing, Hermione brushed the tear away and wiped her own from her face. Tentatively reaching a hand to his face, she swept some red hair from his brow. There, that was much better. “What damage have I caused you, Ronald Weasley?” she asked wispily, biting her quivering lip.
Should she…? He was in a deep sleep; he wouldn’t notice. Hermione lowered her face to his and gently pecked his cheek. “You have no idea how much harm you have wreaked upon me,” she whispered with a hint of bitterness.
Feeling drowsier, she set the chair back to its original position and tip-toed back to the door to go back to her dormitory. She didn’t doubt that she would be in a lot of trouble if she were caught out of bed after hours. Before she slipped out, Ron’s voice made her heart jump up her throat. “Thanks, Hermione,” he whispered hoarsely.
