Prometheus, starring off into space absent mindly, was surprised when a young woman began talking to him.
"Promethus Hudson, Magical Law Enforcement Squad and Wizengament Administration Office," he laughted at Anna "sorry daydreaming, I wonder if this dueling contest is just between us here on level 2 or the complete Ministry?"

Warren glanced at Estella as she spoke and looked away. "The rules of the contest are simple. No unforgiveables...that'll end with you talking to me possibly in a holding cell. Do not aim to hurt the goal is to disarm. First to disarm their opponent will win the duel and advance tot he next level. The winner of all the divisions will will a prize." His eyes strayed over the crowd and found his employees talking...why did he get the chatty ones.... "Any other questions?" Yes short, simple and too the point.



ooc: The duel will take place much like how our Quidditch takes place in the school. So trivia questions will be asked and answered. First person that answers the question correctly first gets it right and their spell goes through. Each duelist will be given "health" each time they get hit they lose these. Right now we're talking about 5 but it might be upgraded so...hang tight on that one, but first to lose all their health loses the duel. There won't be any "rping" of the duel that will be up to the judge at the time. Any other questions can be pmed to me since I'm sure I left something out but I just woke up and that's my excuse

How long had it actually been since she'd had contact with another (female) friend? 'Everything's okay, still. Doesn't really feel too different.' Of course, that was bound to come later. 'So what's your job like? Must be rather different from the MLES.' Yes, Apha was always curious as to new jobs: perhaps, because she'd spent so long as an MLES agent it was good to broaden her mind. Not that she'd ever give it up.

But maybe she should give the talking up temporarily. She turned her attention briefly towards Warren as he explained the rules. Sounded rather like fun - her skills needed a touch up. Preferably not in such a way she'd be embarrassed when doing so.

Lily smiled at her and nodded, understanding how everything doesn't feel that different. "No, it's actually kind of the same. I'm in the office of Counterfeit Magic now," She added, while not trying to sigh because she missed working with Apha. "It's not that different, really,..." Her voice trailed off though because she had heard Warren talking.
Oh, great, they were going to be dueling each other--Lily got a bit nervous at this, always afraid that she was going to lose. She had been hoping that they would be dueling criminals or something, but then she remebered the word 'Interdepartmental' and she felt like an idiot for not understanding before.

Ben watched Warren give instructions. Well, I won't be doing unforgivables. Ben got his wand out and then called out over the crowd. "Yeah!" He said to Warren. "When are we starting?" Ben was already excited and wanted to get started as soon as possible.

"Stellar," Estella said firmly, "No questions at all Warren, none at all." Her lips curled into an appreciative smile, he was so good with words.

But, "It's just TOO bad we don't get to see you in action." She bit her lip innocently.

Aveira rolled her eyes. "Uh huh," she muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes. It sounded good soon enough, and she was rather looking forward to showing what she was made of to everyone here. It was time she did, too...

Rob chuckled at Aveira. "Eager to go on out and become the next underdog champion for us?" He asked, grinning like an idiot at her. "I can't wait until you and Estella duel. I wish I had a camera to record it. I think it'll be good." He said.

Prometheus smiled at Anna as he spoke "I started last year, but was called away with my family to Peru for my Fathers work, today is my first day back....."
Prometheus was interrupted midsentence as Warren began to talk.
"Well there is the answer to out questions, he laughted at Anna, "its the whole ministry, think you will go for a place in the Level Two Duel Squad?"
As he asked the question he also wondered to himself whether he would go for it.

Antoni's mouth went slack as they had called them all to talk about a contest. Is that what they were reduced to? Unless it was some form of training."Wow." She scribbled it down in her little black book. She decided she would think it over,whether or not she would part take in this dueling contest.

"You better think so," Aveira replied. "I'm guessing she can at least pack a punch. Hopefully so, looking at the Department she's in."

"Yay, i guess i'll join and what about you are you too planning to join the Duel?" she asked Promethus, and look at warren giving the instructions for the Duel

"Do you like these tournaments being held?" she asked another question to him
"He might get tried answering my questions, i should stay quit for some time and let him speak" she thought and stayed quit waiting for him to answer.

Daemon's eyes glazed over at the thought of the duel. It actually didn't sound so bad. With his skill...he might just get past a few rounds. Not that he would win. But he'd get far enough. Yes, Daemon was happy about this.

Paying more attention to the voices beside him, he managed to catch the last thing Aveira said. "Are you talking about Stella?"
Yup, he finally managed to get her name from how others kept addressing her.

Maybe I'll have to duel her.

Shudder. That might not be a good image...

Antoni thought to herself,"Dueling with these chicks is gonna be child's play for me and taking down a guy would be like swatting a mosquito. It would be nice to twirl the wand a bit but would it worth my time? I mean I'm trained to go up against the worst and darkest witches and wizards who by the way don't play fair and square and now to play nice with people who are honest in play. definitely something to think about." She allowed her cool, brown eyes slide across the room, looking at all the employees on level two, Magical Law Enforcement.

"Well, I may be interesting and a bit of fun, so i will think about it, as long as it doesn't interfer with work." Prometheus considered outloud to Anna.
He wondering to himself why the big tops at the Ministry were putting on this tourment, "I dont see anything wrong with them" he confesed to Anna, "you never know they might actually help us, It will be good to get some practice in, especially for us here on Level Two"

Daemon acted shocked, scoffing as if he was quite offended. "I am not afraid of anyone."

Play it up a little.

"I am a man. I am manly. Men are not afraid. Of anyone. No, I'm sorry but you are quite mistaken, Aveira."

Aveira raised an eyebrow. "Manly?" she asked, snickering quietly. "Whatever you say."

Okay, OUCH.

"Are you saying you don't think I'm manly? That hurts, Aveira. It really does."

Syd turned to everyone after Warren explained the rules, "Right! So you are free to continue mingling here while we get things set up. Try to practice a little if you so wish because there is a fun prize in this for the winner."

He sipped his lemonade again and checked his watch. Huh. That late already? He shrugged and looked at Warren, "Ready to make a bracket?"

Benjamin looked around with his charming smile as he heard these people debating over who's the toughest out of them. It was silly. These people can talk the talk but they won't be able to walk the walk. Against Ben anyway. He tried to grab one of their attention just by the expression on his face. Ben hadn't made an effort to make friends in the office since he started. He's just been up the wall about the case and it was paying off. Warren would probably go to Ben if he needed an MLES person by his side. But none of these other people would know that. But Benjamin didn't let it show that he knew that these people didn't belong in law enforcement. He just looked as though he wanted to talk.

Daemon laughed. He honestly doubted he could be any manlier than Rob, but he knew she was just saying it in hopes of him hearing, her voice had risen a little. "Why thank you, Aveira. I am indeed manlier than Rob will ever be."
Just as he said this he noticed a man making faces at thier conversation. Daemon, being Daemon, he didn't say anything about it but he did feel the need to point him out to Aveira. He nudged her and tilted his head to indicate the man. But he didn't say anything, because then maybe he might've noticed, as it seems he was listening to thier conversation.
