He chuckled softly, though the mirth was gone from the sound. "It would be. Though, there might be something said for the argument that due to accessibility to the potion, it is the human nature, the power of choice, which sets them apart as beings. They may act more bestial, and act upon that which is inside of them, but it is their choice. And that is a human action. I've had more than one opportunity to become furry, and while I do not understand what they go through, I am quite certain I would choose to continue human thinking. And meanwhile, there are others who are not infected, and they act the very same as those who are and chose to be bestial."

Jordyn walked into the room and went to her cubicle, yes she was new, but she knew where to go. She looked st the cubicle beside hers and saw there was someone in there. "Hi," she said. "I'm Jordyn Lupin."

Allison nodded once again, pushing away the book on the right seeing as it was no longer of use. “That makes perfect sense. I mean, I know a few personally, and they’re all quite human.” She paused grimacing. “And a few people I’d consider calling beasts as well.”

"I've not the... pleasure of getting to know a lycanthrope, personally. The last I came into contact with won't exactly be getting into contact with anyone else." He paused a moment and looked about. "Is there coffee in the office, or would I have to go to the lounge to get some?"

Allison blinked, but didn’t look up, at his statement. Okayyy… She let her thoughts wander for a moment. At his question though, she looked up. “Uh, there was… I think. Can’t guarantee it’s fresh.” She really didn’t drink coffee, she liked her tea. Mmm, yeah… She quickly shook herself back to reality. “There should be some fresh stuff in the break room though.”

"I see." He looked around a moment, shrugged, and headed for the door. Once there he stopped and looked back. "Join me? I would like to hear your thoughts on classification, as well as any incidents this unit has dealt with recently."

Rowan looked up from her work only to realize that someone had walked in and taken to cubicle next to hers. Blinking rapidly, she look at the clock. Three hours had gone by since she last took a break. Apollo, hooted happily from his perch. Rowan stood up and stretched. She turned to face the newcomer, as she introduced herself.

"Hello. I'm Rowan Cromwell. Nice to meet you Jordyn." Rowan smiled.

Allison nodded. “Sure.” She turned briefly, taking her tea mug before heading back towards the door. She definitely could use some more tea. “We haven’t really had anything to exciting lately…” She trailed off. “Actually, it’s been quite boring.”

Jordyn smiled and said,"Nice to meet you too." She quickly and quietly took the sleeping bat off her shoulder and put him on her desk. "This is Remus, I named him after my brother."

He nodded as he headed out. "Well, at least it seems like we'll have something soon."

ooc: Yup! Sorry it took so long... busy weekend!

Rowan smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. Ummm...well we are the only two in the office for now. Ms. Merelda got transfered and Ms. Black is on a leave of absence. We are supposed to be having a meeting here soon over the Werewolf Registry system as it stands. There are some that don't think the system that is being used to classify and register Werewolves is fair. Due to the fact that some are using potions and can function in normal society like Remus. While others like Fenrir are a menace to society. If you have any ideas that could contribute to this please feel free to speak up. I've been working on a few of my ideas so feel free to jump in at anytime. I know that you might want to get settled in first."

Rowan took out her wand and tapped the cup next to her three times. A small puff of smoke issued from the depths of the glass. Rowan pick it up while stowing her wand and then took a careful sip.

Coffee. The greatest invention since the wand. Rowan smiled to herself. Leaning back over her laptop she starts to read over what she typed up.

"Remus isn't the only one who uses that potion, I'll have you know that you are looking at someone who uses it herself, oh I forgot to mention I'm a werewolf as well, I'm in the registration somwhere," Jordyn began to babble. She sat down at her desk as she thought of some ideas that might help, she started to pet Remus's head distractedly.

Rowan was stunned. It wasn't everyday that she met someone as honest as Jordyn. Rowan quickly composed herself, she didn't want Jordyn to get the wrong idea.

"Wow. Well I must say your honesty is refreshing. I don't think there are a whole lot of people that would be near as honest. I meant no offense to you. I hope you know that. I, myself have a special..." Rowan didn't know what she would call it. Growing up her Aunt had called it her gift. She could remember distinctly her mother calling it that too. Although even after she reached adulthood she could never fully acknowledge it as a gift. I was simply something that she did.

Coming back to the conversation, "Well anyway, if you have any ideas just let me know. And I just want to let you know, I'm not like other witches or wizards. I really look forward to working with you." Rowan smiled and turned back to her laptop.

She sighed. I hope she didn't catch anything from all that. Me and my big mouth!

Jordyn smiled and said," Well, Remus taught me that good honesty leads to a good work environment." She looked at her laptop and opened it.

"Why don't we discuss some ideas as far as werewolf classification? Most of what I have come up with, is based on a series of questions, like an interview if you will, that evaluates the social compatency of the werewolf." Rowan scrolled through most of the questions that she had thought of. It was a complex solution to the problem, but she firmly believed that this could be done with the right person asking the questions.

"It's kind of like a personality test. Where the responses that are given to the questions will help us tell if the werewolf is able to function in normal society. Of course, there will be several different classifications ranging from socially stable to critcally dangerous. Each title would then have a set of rules and standards that would have to be monitered and enforced. Again, it is a little complex....but I think that if can be fair, and a far better way of classifying then what is currently in place." Rowan stood up lithly and stretched. Giggling slightly to herself she turned around and leaned on her desk.

"If I lost you at all during all that let me know. I have a tendency to talk in circles when my mind is really on something. That and the technical terms start flying, my Aunt's an english buff so growing up was interesting to say the least."

"Anyway, the question that is being brought up in this issue is whether werewolves should be deemed as beasts or beings. Personally, I think that that decision should be left up to the individual wolf. If they should especially aggresive tendencies and don't show any regard for human life then they should be labeled as beast and detained as such. On the other hand, if they are stable individuals, like yourself, then there is no reason to worry and we can let them go about there life business as usual. I know it's kind of a calous way to look at this but I was trying to be subjective."

"That's a good way of looking at it," Jordyn said. She looked up when her bat, Remus had flown across the room and through the door. "Shoot, she muttered. She looked at the door and whistled beforer she said," Remus get back here, you know you shouldn't even be in here in the first place." She smiled when Remus came back through the door.

With a smile on her face, Rowan watched as the little bat took off across the room. It kind of reminded her of Apollo when he was just a fledgling. The rumbling of her stomach startled her and she looked down with a giggle.

"Well I guess I'm gonna go and get something to eat. I'm famished. Care to join me?"

Rowan reached down for her purse and looked around to make sure she wasn't forgetting anything.

Jodyn smiled and said,"Sure, I haven't eaten anything since dinner last night." She stood up and stretched.

Turning toward the door, Rowan walked swiftly for the lifts. Her stomach grumbled all the way to the cafeteria.

She giggled. "I'm so hungry! I don't even know what they have to eat, do you?"

"No, but I'm pretty sure we'll find something we like," Jordyn said. She smiled and kept on walking.

Rowan walked through the door and sighed. A pile of files where tettering precariously on her desk. Walking over, she placed her bag on the floor and sat down. Once again she took her wand out of her robes, tapped her mug three times and then sipped and the steaming brew. Hazelnut with a shot of irish cream...yummm.

Taking the first file of the gigantic pile, she opened it. Only to find that it wasn't about werewolves at all but dragons. Confused she closed the file and picked up the next one to find that it too was on dragons. It took a little over 10 minutes to sort through the large pile. At last the had files sorted into two intimidating large piles. While Rowan was immensely pleased that all the files weren't hers, she was oddly disgruntled at the mix up. She took a deep breath and decided that getting upset served no purpose. So she took out her wand, pointed it at the stack of files whose subject matter was focused on dragons, thought Locomotor, and strode out of the room with the stack following close behind her.

Jordyn watched as Rowan walked out of the office with a stack of papers followong her. She smiled and shook her head as she felt Remus land on her shoulder. She quickly opened up her laptop and checked her e-mail for anything from her niece, Rogue.

Rowan walked back into the office. She sighed a huge sigh of relief. Of course she still had a large stack waiting for her but she could handle that. Sitting down in front of her desk, she took a deep swig of her coffee and set about tackling the files.

Toshi entered the room and walked over to his new working place.
He was really happy to have been accepted at the Ministry of Magic. Smiling he sat down onto his chair.

Jordyn looked around and noticed someone that wasn't there earlier. She decides to introduce herself. "Hello," she says, "I'm Jordyn Lupin."
