Located off to the right of the Observatory and behind a large wooden door lies a room made possible by means of a powerful Undetectable Extension Charm. Professor Flamsteed will hold the occasional lesson, present an educational and entertaining show about astronomy and the night sky, or a training session in celestial navigation here, but it is also available to students to use at their own leisure for research or entertainment purposes.
Professor Flamsteed just has a few guidelines for use of the planetarium:

SPOILER!!: Admiral Airey Professor Sir

CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK
Was Mr. Adair following?
Holy Merlin.
It was like the man had been standing right behind the door, ready to whip it open or something. Kind of freaked Zander out a little. Like sure, he knocked expecting the door to be opened quickly afterwards, but not THAT quickly. Definitely spooked him. Ahem.
"'Morning, Admiral," he grinned, before looking down to see "Pebbles," he nodded. The pet rock... On a leash. Oh. Didn't realize it'd be making an appearance at today's meeting. But of course he was used to the strange antics Flamsteed opted for, so no judgement here, Professor. Pinky swear.
"Planetarium?" He repeated, making turning around. "I like that," 'cause then it'd feel less official. Not having to sit in a stuffy office. This was all just a formality, right? Not real serious business?
Also yes, Mr. Adair was following.
He made his way inside of the planetarium right behind the Astronomy Professor, taking a moment to look around. He'd been in here a few times, sure, but y'know for all his seven years at this insane castle... Zander hadn't really taken full advantage of this place. Better late than never though, right? "Err... So, uh, how do these things normally start?" Whoops.

It could have been worse, Mr. Adair. The man could have sneaked up behind you and spooked you with a greeting. Was hardly the astronomer's fault that he was downright giddy over discussing the bright futures of his students. It was the sort of advice giving that, at least 9 times out of 10, he was actually efficient at.
Leading the way, the man resist the urge to dim the lights as he usually did when he entered the planetarium. He wasn't in his, ahem, alternate uniform today nor was he coming here with any research so there was no need for that at the moment.
"Well, for starters it would do to find a seat," the astronomer mused as he headed down towards the front with the intention of taking a seat right in front in the second row. "Unless you would prefer to stand."

Oh.
Yeah.
Sitting. That was a thing that happened at meetings. Right.
Zander nodded sheepishly, watching as Professor Flamsteed headed towards the front. "Oh, riiight," Uh. Where was he meant to sit though? If it were up to the Seventh Year, he would've picked a seat towards the back. But seeing as Flamsteed went ahead to move towards the inner rows, it would've made it kinda inconvenient to choose a seat far away. Ahem. He took it back. He preferred meetings in the stuffy office.
This was difficult.
After a momentary pause filled with much confusion, the Gryffindor slowly followed along heading towards the front few rows as well. He only then came to a stop when he had also reached the second row... Letting his fingers trace along the seat next to the one he was assuming would be Flamsteed's. "This one okay?"
Or would sitting beside each other be too weird?
Okay he took it all back. Maybe he was a bit nervous about this. Ahem. He had only told Soph and Kevin that he had no intention of going to uni. They were both pretty concerned about it, too. So what would a REAL ADULT say!?

Unlike previous students who the astronomer had spent the majority of his time prior to their meeting going over recent test scores and their academic history including extracurriculars, Airey had spent his time practicing pronunciation.
Pronunciation of Miss Xanthopoulos last name, to be precise.
Not that he was NOT prepared for their meeting, but he had botched it up far too many times and maybe once...just ONCE he could get it right.
Hearing the knock, Airey grabbed her folder and flung it open. "Good day, Miss Xan-tho-po-u-los," he greeted, saying her last name a hair unnaturally slow but NOT botching it up this time at least. "If you don't mind, I would like to move our meeting to the Innovation Lounge," he continued as he gestured back out of his waiting area.
OOC: you can go ahead and post us in the Innovation Lounge :3
You could tell a lot by the manner with which a person knocked on a door and there were several students who had rather distinct ones. The most distinct, however, had belonged to Mr. Hirase who wasn't so much knocking as he was trying to break down the door. This knock, however, spoke volumes about who was on the other side.
Approaching the door with the seventh year's file tucked under his arm and Pebbles on her leash being dragged behind, the astronomer smiled at Mr. Atreyu as he stood in the open doorway. "Hello, Mr. Atreyu," he greeted. "I thought the Innovation Lounge may be a more suitable location for our meeting today."
OOC: you can go ahead and post us in the Innovation Lounge :3
Having been hard on both his prefects now for several terms now, Airey had to mentally prepare himself for this meeting on top of the other prep work of going over the young woman's file.
Opening the door, Airey saluted the seventh year with the hand holding Pebbles' pink leash. "Good to see you, Miss Greyvson," he nodded, feeling as though he hadn't quite seen her as much as he had been hoping this term. Perhaps it had been because the usual spark Miss Greyvson possessed had been not as bright this term? If it had to do with teenage angst, he would rather not know the reason. "If you would please follow me to the planetarium we can have a bit of a chit chat."
OOC: you can go ahead and post us in the planetarium :3
Shock of the century, but Airey was not entirely ready for this meeting as he had not been expecting Miss Bayless to show up this early. But he was quite pleased with this development. He was, however, still looking over her file as he opened up the door to his office.
"Good day, Miss Bayless," he saluted. "I've only just put the tea on so it will be a few minutes before it's ready, but we can begin our discussion without it."
OOC: you are free to post inside the office now...or just tell Flamsteed the goods out here XD
Twisting the edge of her robes in her hand was all she could do as she sat there waiting. It didn’t take long of course for Professor Flamsteed to appear – right, this was the end wasn’t it. The end of her schooling here, the end of everything she had come to expect with Hogwarts.
“Pleasure to see you as well Professor Flamsteed,” Puck smiled over to him and grinned, “of course Professor,” she smiled over to him “have you been enjoying the term so far Professor?” She asked as well, even if she hadn’t been like her usual fiery self it wasn’t anything against him. She missed people. Missed her friends, missed Bianca and Benny Blane and all of her friends that left or graduated.

Selecting a seat, not the one directly beside the one Mr. Adair was indicating but leaving one vacant seat between the two, the astronomer gave an approving nod. "It is your choice, Mr. Adair," he replied with an eerie whimsical tone. It was a baby step, but an important one, not providing the Head Boy with the affirmation he sought.
Out of the countless paths out there he could choose, much like the selection of seats in the planetarium, whatever and wherever he chose to go would be (and should be) his choice.
Sitting down, Airey adjusted his tie and set his right leg over his left knee in a somewhat relaxed position. "Shall we get started then?"

Pursing his lips, the astronomer nodded at the prefect's question. There wasn't anything awful about this term or anything to indicate dislike, so enjoying the term was a fairly accurate description of things. Enjoying, but not without some concerns. But really, that was every term now, wasn't it?
Even the ice cream and dementor term had brought about some things to make him smile. Things that may or may not be making his ears a charming shade of pink right now.
"Yourself, Miss Greyvson? Prepared make it your final one?"
A weighted question, naturally.

Leave it to Professor Flamsteed to make the choice of a seat a metaphor for Zander's entire future. Yeah, he saw what the man did there. Kind of hard to miss when he made his voice sound all funny like that... We seeeeee you, Admiral. WE SEEEEE. So Zander only lingered for a second longer before choosing to sit where he had indicated earlier. First instinct. Had to be the right one.
Also, it was just a seat.
Ahem.
The Gryffindor slowly set his bag on the floor beside his feet, before looking up at his Astronomy Professor once more. "Ready when you are, Admiral," he nodded slowly. Exactly what there was to talk about... Zander wasn't quite sure, but he was willing to follow along. And hopefully avoid the fact that he didn't know what the heck he was going to do with the rest of his life. Much like his confusion in seat choice, Zander had no idea where his future career was headed either.
Lost in space.

Puck took a steadying breath as Professor Flamsteed asked about the final term. The question had been hitting home lately, but really, her life the rest of her life awaited her after this right? She just smiled a small smile.
“Yeah I think that every experience here has really taught me a lot about myself,” she nodded, “I mean I found out that I’m pretty good with History and I never thought that I’d be decent in History at all really…maybe that’s more because the classes at Salem weren’t as engaging as they are here?” She offered her voice almost paper thin.
“I will miss this place though, it’s become like a second home to me” she nodded. “Are you ready yourself to shape the minds of the students coming in next term?” She asked almost as if trying to dodge his own question.

Yes. A seat. Just like your seat in life and what sort of imprint your derriere would leave in it. So, Mr. Adair, what would YOUR imprint be? Hmmm?
But before the astronomer started lingering on derriere imprints, there was a young man's present der...present SELF to worry about as well as his first steps into what would certainly be a bright future.
"Well, Mr. Adair, it all really begins with you," he said with a grin. Surely the Head Boy already knew that the man saw great things in him, so no need to fluster the young man again with that. "Tell me what your plans are thus far."

Yeah, see he was kind of afraid that Professor Flamsteed would say just that. He'd still be expected to raise his hand to ask to use the bathroom for the next few weeks and then suddenly the whole world would expect him to know exactly what to do with the rest of his life and be able to handle it on his own? How was any of that fair? He wasn't ready yet.
He wasn't quite ready for the question either. The Gryffindor scratched his head, looking down at his feet for a moment before looking back up to make eye contact with his head of house. Um. Well. Plan. That was the big question here, huh? "Well... Uh, I never applied to uni," he admitted rather sheepishly. Would this disappoint the man? Zander had the tendency to do so.
"So I guess the plan's just... Y'know... Heading straight into things. Get a job, start making some more money. Figure it out along the way?" Again he averted his eyes. He had a lot of money saved up currently, after having worked as a waiter over the past summer and having a job under Cutty this year... Plus his parents helped with support 'n all... But he had very specific plans for that money. Which meant he'd still have to get a job to have money for the future. Maybe enough to support a family... Do something. Travel, maybe?
So in other words, Professor, there were no plans.

Airey's mouth opened agate and formed a long, and silent, 'O' while his blue eyes momentarily widened. To say he was disappointed would be false, not with the Head Boy at least, but rather himself for falling into assumption about what the young man would be doing. "I see," he nodded, pursing his lips while he opened the young man's file to jot down some notes.
Things.
There was that blasted word.
"Are we looking at a gap year, Mr. Adair? Or is furthering your education in the traditional sense something you don't see as your calling?" he asked, his tone clearly indicating (this time at least) that there was no disappointment or real concern. Just genuine interest.

Um right well. Uh. That face. Zander wasn't really sure what kind of reaction he was expecting, but he didn't exactly expect silence... See, uh, Flamsteed wasn't really known to do that very often. And it probably wasn't a good sign. Zander especially thought so once he saw the jotting of notes taking place. Definitely not a good sign.
He was almost five hundred percent sure which to be fair, didn't happen often that Professor Flamsteed decided right then and there that his Head Boy was a total let down.
But when his Head of House started speaking again, Zander lifted his head to make eye contact once more. "Oh well," he slowly raised his hand to the back of his neck, shifting a little uncomfortably in his seat whilst he did so. Couldn't sit still. "I'm not really sure... I just don't think school is my... setting?" Again, he looked away. "But who knows, maybe after a break... I'll decide I want to go back?" Uh. That part he wasn't all that sure of and it was most definitely clear in his voice.
See, even if he did decide to go back... Where would he start?

No, Mr. Adair, the man did not find you to be a 'total let down'. Far from it, even if the university news had been a little bit of a shock . But hey, let that be a lesson to all that assume. And that the master envisions for the apprentice is not always the same path that the apprentice takes. Nor should it be the one.
Airey nodded his head. "Maybe yes, and maybe no, but you'll just have to trust your instincts on that," he replied with a faint smile. "More hands on then, I presume," he continued, all eyes back on the Head Boy. "Have you given much thought into interning places? Would give you some hands on experience while also increasing your credentials and fluffing your potential work resume." If the Head of House wasn't mistaken, Mr. Adair had the potential being awarded one from the Ministry after his efforts this term. "Whether or not astronomy is something you'd like to pursue, I can certainly help set you up with one of my colleagues. Just to help you not keep idle," he added with a wink.

Zander nodded, noting the faint smile on his Professor's face in the meantime. It was a bit reassuring, actually. So the Gryffindor worked to return it. There was still hope. Hands on was the plan though, so he nodded some more in response to the question. Not sure what he was going to find out there without a university degree, but hopefully there'd be a job out there waiting to be found.
"An internship?" he repeated, the words tasting new in his mouth. He tilted his head, listening as Professor Flamsteed explained. "That actually sounds kind of fantastic, Admiral." Maybe an internship wouldn't be all that bad? His eyes opened a little wider, even, at Professor Flamsteed's last offer. The Gryffindor didn't ever see himself continuing much farther in Astronomy, in all honesty.... But it'd be a start. Especially if he couldn't find anywhere else to begin. At this point there wasn't really a right direction to be pushed in. A push was a push. And any push was a welcomed one.

Did she want to do something with history? She considered for a bit and took a quick steadying breath as she shifted from one foot to the other. “Well…I honestly am not sure? For a while I’ve been debating going into education, to try and do something with defense against the dark arts…and maybe even working with my aunt?” She shrugged and bit her lip.
“She…uh is the Art Director at WHiM Magazine but that’s the thing, I want to do something that will be fulfilling to not only me and my life” she admitted and began to talk more honestly than she had in a while. Especially with a Professor. “It’s why I’ve been leaning toward going into education…because after being a Prefect, which again Thank you for that opportunity,” she smiled over to Professor Flamsteed.
“I was actually considering going to University for Wizarding Education…that or getting a job with th-the WCP” she admitted and grinned.

Stroking his invisible beard - because the man absolutely seemed incapable of growing facial hair and his daily shave was more to give himself piece of mind that he was not scruffy - Airey pursed his lips and nodded his head as a few deep thoughts eluded him. With someone as open to suggestion as Mr. Adair was, the possibilities were absolutely endless.
"Off the record, I do believe that you are in line for one of those Ministry ones to start," he nodded. Completely off the record, of course. The Head of House really had little say into the matter other than to voice his own opinion. "So it would be a start, perhaps." He nodded his head a bit more as some of those elusive thoughts began to return to him. "Now that you mention it...there is a program that a colleague of mine from university told me about. Granted, it is just in its kickstarter days and relatively new, but it is a program geared towards young people like yourself in which you essentially intern around the globe, Portkey PASS. Four to twelve weeks in each location and you can renew after a year if you so desire. See the world while gaining all sorts of valuable life experiences."
Adventure of a lifetime, as it were. If the young man wanted hands on experience, this was certainly one fast track way of getting it.
SPOILER!!: no worries ^^

Education? Interesting.
Ironically the field that he had never pictured himself in especially as a seventh year. It had been rather thrust upon him due to injury, although opportunity may be coming knocking again soon for him, and he was not terribly disappointed with it being his departure from the space programme. However temporary that departure may turn out to be.
"Education certainly does have its rewards," he nodded. Although he really was not entirely convinced that Miss Grevyson was entirely set on that as she was bouncing around quite a bit in her response. "And the World Climate Programme certainly does stellar work as well."
How the two were connected, he was not sure. But still a stellar organization.

The plan had been to make some more money, get feet firm on the ground... But it wasn't really much of a plan. Which is why an internship sounded... nice. Internships could lead to jobs and possibly one that sparked interest. Actually, Zander was kind of really considering it now.
He was all ears.
Finally, something that didn't sound as miserable as enduring another four plus years of school.
"You do?" he looked up hopefully, all off the record of course. He very well knew that Professor Flamsteed didn't get to make those final decisions or anything, which was kind of scary seeing as Zander didn't actually know Headmaster Botros as well as he knew some of the other Heads of the school. But there was an inkling of hope and honestly... Though he hadn't ever really considered the Ministry of Magic... An internship there wouldn't be something he'd turn down. It's still be super cool.
"Whoa," that was the first unintelligent thing that came out of his mouth after hearing about this Portkey PASS program. "That sounds WICKED!!" Straight out of school, getting to travel around the world for an entire year?? Just doing STUFF?? "That sounds incredible! Where do I sign up!?" Ahem. Uh. "I mean uh, yeah I'd consider that...." He mussed his hair nonchalantly. "Do you know where I could get more information about it?" Totally casual. Yup. Man. Wait till he told Sophie about all this.

Airey simply replied with a nod of the head, not to give the boy false hope or anything. Which he may have perhaps done, unintentionally, but the astronomer prided himself on his intuition.
Nodding, Airey gave a quick glance up towards the domed ceiling before returning his attention towards Mr. Adair. "I'll owl my colleague to send you the information. Further reading materials for you along with an application form. I believe concerning yourself with it all once NEWTs are over will be alright, just as long as you have returned things before the Hogwarts Express home." The man couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the Head Boy's attempts at not looking too excited.
Had the boy given up on himself? Surely not. Perhaps just the overwhelming potential of the future had him in a bit of a panic.
"They'll be in contact with you soon."
Drumming on his knees, Airey leaned back into his seat a little and then stood up. "Unless there is anything more to discuss, I believe we have covered more than enough for one day."

Zander Adair was starting to feel much better about all of this... Well, about graduating. He still didn't want the day to come, but at least now there was some sort of direction. He wasn't completely lost.
He nodded vigorously at all the next things his Professor said, realizing he probably should've brought some parchment to take notes. There wasn't all that much to remember, but he needed to make sure that he understood it all. The fact that there was an application process worried him a bit... But hopefully he could redeem some of his OWL scores by doing well on upcoming exams... And he had plenty of extra curriculars to list... And being head boy and... Y'know, he'd probably ask Soph for help with filling the forms out.
"That'd be great," he grinned widely. "Thanks a ton, Professor."
He waited a second before standing up to join the man. "Er... Y'know, not just for this..." He averted his eyes for a second, before looking right back at the star man. "For everything." He mussed his hair, "I'm, um, gonna miss your lessons a lot."

Under the assumption that that would be all, the Astronomy professor gave the Head Boy an enthusiastic salute and took a few steps towards the projector to continue some research of his.
Only that was not it and the man did a bit of a stutter step at what the young man shared next were much more heavily weighted and required the man's full attention. His back to the young man at this point, Airey looked down at Pebbles in his hand and chuckled under his breath before slowly turning around to face the seventh year properly. "It has been my esteemed pleasure, Mr. Adair, to be your professors all these years and watching you mature into the young man you are today."
Even if the Gryffindor had implied that being labeled as a nerd, at one point, was a bad thing. All water under the Milky Way now.
"Truly."
