| | |  Beginner/Remedial Arithmancy Review
You enter the Arithmancy classroom to see neat and exactly-positioned rows of wooden desks and chairs, the latter of which have cushions in a myriad of colors and textures to match your comfort and liking. The walls are filled with thick wooden shelves, on which rest a seemingly endless number of Arithmancy texts and the occasional Ancient Runes and Divination reference. For those students who studied Arithmancy last year, the room looks very much the same, as does the woman awaiting your arrival.
When you look to the front of the room, you see a tall, blonde-haired woman sitting behind a desk made of dark angelique wood in an excessively large and comfortable-looking chair. On the desk is a small placard reading "Professor Macadrian A. Shackleton - Arithmancy," as well as a large stack of thin, bound booklets, an assortment of papers and quills, and several copies of the class textbook. She smiles at you as you enter the classroom and gestures for you to take a seat. As you glance up to the boards behind and to the sides of Professor Shackleton, you see a list of Arithmancy terms to be covered in today's review session:

Ariana walked in scowling slightly. It had not been a good day for her so far. Nothing had worked out and now this. Figuring she'd get it over with she smiled slightly to the professor nodding before walking to the very back of the room, praying she wouldn't be the only fifth year to take this class.

Willow step in the Classroom for her first Arithmancy lesson of the term. "Hello Professor Shalckleton" Willow greeted politely to the Arithmancy teacher. The woman was a genius, in Willow's opinion at least. Arithmancy was not an easy subject.
"Heyyy Bluebell" Willow greeted with a grin to her Slytherin friend, after taking seat beside her. She opened her textbook and waited for the lesson to start.

Amelia stepped into the classroom, grinning. She loved Arithmancy more than anything in the world. Glancing around, she frowned briefly when she spotted Ariana sitting in the way back of the room. Waving to her, she sighed and made her way towards the front of the room - taking a seat in the front row. She removed her textbook, notebook, and a quill from her messenger bag, scanning through the text quickly before the lesson started.

Rhiannon entered the Arithmancy class quietly. She still wasn't convinced that she was going to like the subject, but figured she'd at least try it once. Seeing Amelia sitting near the front row, she slips into a desk behind her. She didn't want to be in the front row, especially since she wasn't certain of her aptitude in the subject. Poking the Huffie prefect, she waits to see if she notices while taking out her own textbook, as well as supplies for notes.

Ellie was tapping her quill on the table wondering how long until de class over,
which was a stupid thought since the class haven't even started yet, when she heard someone talking to her.
She turned her brown eyes and say a girl "Hum.. Hi. " she said with a smile "Do I know you?" she asked. She didn't remembered to see the girl anywhere, and she was pretty sure she didn't know her.

Professor Shackleton glanced at her watch and then at the students in her classroom. Convinced that the number of students was sufficient to run the review, Professor Shackleton stood up from her chair and walked around to the front of her desk. She introduced herself, "Hello there. My name is Professor Macadrian Shackleton and I am your Arithmancy teacher. This session was established so that we may quickly review the topics from last term that will be imperative for you to know in order to achieve success in my class this term. For those students who are new to Arithmancy, this session may move a bit quickly. If at any time you find yourself confused or getting behind, please let me know and I will try to clarify. There is also the option to visit with me in my office and I will gladly go over any topics with which you need help and I'll even supply hot cocoa."
Macadrian smiled with a nod and raised eyebrows as if to say 'Oh yes, it's true' and continued, "Now, I have put a list of the topics to be covered today on the board. We will go over each of these topics one by one until we finish them all. To do so, you will need your textbooks and a quill, but you will not need parchment. Those students who took my class last year will be quite familiar with this method of mine. Each of you will receive a journal in which I would like you to take all your notes and complete all your homework. I will be grading them periodically throughout the term and you will receive your grades on their very pages. This journal will travel with you throughout your time at Hogwarts, only to be used for Arithmancy! It will be a wonderful asset during your time in school and afterward. Students from last year, you may use parchment today because you already have this material in your journals, but be sure to bring your journals with you to the next lesson." With a flick of her wand, Professor Shackleton distributed a journal to each new student. She then added, "Oh and by the way, feel free to decorate them anyway you like! Are there any questions before we begin the review?"

Amelia felt a jab in her back; annoyed, she flipped around to face the person expecting it to be someone didn't like. But quickly smiled when she saw it was just Rhiannon. "Hello Miss Rhian! And why are you sitting behind me?" she asked curiously, pointing to the seat next to her, as if indicating for the sixth year Ravenclaw to move up a row.
