Once again, Norah found herself getting five hundred million years behind schedule on account of all the information that she was supposed to be writing down. Plus, there were now some tacos in the room which was unbelievably distracting in itself because TACOS. The smell, man. It didn't matter that she'd just eaten, it just mattered that if AJ didn't offer up some tacos at the end of class the Hufflepuff would probably drop dead. Or something. It'd be bad, anyways.

She glanced frantically at Professor Moxley, who had already moved on to explaining the main activity before the fourth year had even drawn her phone yet. She scribbled a square and added some littler squares inside the big square, and a little circle-ish button just like the picture showed, not bothering to find her phone drawing from before because TIME MANAGEMENT. Without another glance at her notes, she stuffed the parchment into her bag and went to stand next to the big slingshots. COOL BEANS.

The fourth year shifted her weight from foot to foot as she watched the teams launch those little foam balls. Once Lux had loaded the slingshot again, Norah jumped forward to get a turn at the slingshot. Ready, set, and GOOOOOOO. She let the bouncy stuff go and watched the foam ball fly in the direction of the target and hit it with a satisfying thump. AW YEAH.

It looked like more and more people were getting involved--GOOD. Eden was so PUMPED right now and on FIRE that she couldn't keep still at all. She was pacing around, watching them hit, continuously, more targets, and collecting the balls to load into the launcher.

Eden McGee WANTED TO WIN.

Why?

BECAUSE WINNING WAS THE BEST ALWAYS EVER.

Ahem.

Anyways, Eden stepped up after Norah sent a NIIIIICE ball crashing into another phone, and loaded up a ball.

Someone come on. LAUNCH THAT SUCKER!

Angel had launched the foam ball that he had loaded but no dice. It had missed. It was then that he registered that something seemed off with his girlfriend. Especially when AJ responded to it as well. Except as the Ravenpuffs got a few more hits over their head, it was proof that it wasn't the time to dwell on such matters.

So as AJ loaded the thrower, Benny stepped up to assist, taking aim of it. Easy....just a little more....There. The sixth year sending it sailing over the course of the room in the direction of a target. However it proved to be another miss for his team causing him to frown.

Another missed shot. AJ was starting to feel a bit defeated. All she wanted was a Slytherdor win. Was that too much to ask for? It was certainly looking that way. She counted to ten and tried to think of another tactic. Maybe she could be a human target and stop the other teams ball from causing anymore damage to their cut outs. Hmmm... that actually sounded like a pretty good idea.

One more try.

If this didn't work then she would physically knock Ravenpuff's balls off course. This lion wasn't going down without a fight. Picking up the plush ball again, she loaded it into the slingshot. Please let it work for them this time. They could really use the confidence booster right about now.

They REALLY needed to get their game on. The other team...the other side of the room...was having so much better luck right now. Was it their team members? Did they have better aim or timing? Or something else entirely. Whatever the case, if they wanted to have ANY chance at winning this little activity set up by the two professors, the Slytherdor team needed to be better than the currently were.

And fast.

AJ stepped up again, loading one of the foam balls into the sling shot. With it in place, Benny took the opportunity to get it ready for another launch. Hopefully it could get it aimed better than before so they had a better chance. He got a look at the various colored phones behind the Ravenpuff shooter, picking one in particular and turning the sling shot slightly to face ahead of it.

Ready....aim...fire...

HIT!!

Yaaay!! They made another hit!!

Lux did a little happy dance because they were doing so well this lesson. Look at the Ravenpuffs go. Lux liked working with the Ravenclaws even if she wanted to work with the Gryffindors at least once.

Smiling as Eden loaded another ball onto the sling shot Lux tried her best to launch it at a target...and missed.

Awww man!! "I'm sorry, guys." Pout.

Benny was here. Thank the sweet baby unicorns. She knew that he had quidditch under his belt, and while she never actually got to play that sport, she knew it had to come in handy. Athletic people were usually pretty flexible when it came to physical games. At least that was how it worked for her.

AJ bit her bottom lip as she watched their ball soar to the other side of the room. PLEASE. YESSSSSS!!! It was a hit. The fourth year lion bounced up and down. "Good shot, Benny." They made a good team, and AJ was not about to stop now.

She loaded another ball into the slingshot. "We gotta keep this up." Not necessarily saying that just to Benny, but to the entire team. They could still pull this out. Her disappointment quickly faded and her head was back in the game.

Yes...yes....yes!

Benny was excited when his aim caused the ball to hit the target he had been going for resulting in a success for their team. Had he been a more energetic lion, he might have been dancing at the moment. Instead he settled on smiling and congradulating his partner as she did him. "Thanks...." he said, "That was great," he added, nodding in agreement to her comment.'

Maybe they could do this....keep it up.

AJ was soon ready with another foam projectile, placing it in the sling shot. As before, Benny remained beside her to launch once he was satisfied with his aim.

One...two....three....GO!

Woot! Another hit!

Merlin. This was tough.

And Ravenpuff was winning. WHAT THE HECK. This couldn't happen.

Zander couldn't lose. NO. They had managed to beat the team of Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs in capture the flag during Charms. That was all about aim. And this was technically all about aim as well. Considering it was all about launching balls into the air.

So why the heck was he having such a hard time getting them to hit?!?

Sweet Merlin.

Grabbing another ball, he quickly ran over to the launching station and began loading his sling shot thingy. They really really needed this one to work.

That was two for two. He and AJ certainly made a good team. Benny couldn't help but wonder what Adi would think seeing his two best friends ganging up to beat his own house and team. Actually it was an amusing thought in the long run and certainly fun to show. Take that my dear Hiccup!

Oooo Zander was stepping up, loading the sling shot this time. And when his house and dormmate seemed to be ready for some assistance and no one else stepped up, the sixth year lion decided to fulfill the role. Could he make it three for three. He;d certainly be trying to support his house and the snakes paired along with them. He guided the slingshot, took aim and launched the foam ball towards a phone.

Was that...

yep...a hit.

Angel was totally enjoying herself and it seemed that Benny had hit the thing a few times how awesome was that. "Well done Benny!" Angel beamed as she decided that it was time for them to reload after all at the minute they were losing and she didn't like losing, as you can see she had even took herself off the aiming party, wasn't her fault she was feeling ill though.

Angel set the thing up ready for the next person to aim at the target, she was going to pray that it was Benny, he was good at aiming.

Woooooot! Their team was on a roll. They were coming back. She had no idea what the score could be, but she didn't care. Her mind was in the game. Benny and AJ were getting things done. They actually were working very well together. Then Zander tapped in, and another hit by Benny. That boy was on a role.

She was going to give it a go. Things were getting intense. Moving object, and flying balls. EEP.

Angel had the slingshot all set up for her. AJ ran over and took over. "I hope this works." She didn't want to be the one to mess them all up. Aim. Shoot... and HIT!

Soooo… time for another ball to be loaded onto the slingshot! Now they would have to up their aims since the targets were moving about now even though the speed wasn’t at all that bad. Adi grabbed a ball.

Onto the slingshot it went as his eyes locked with one of the targets. The trick was to keep your eyes on it and there was a high chance the ball would smash into it.


COME ON, TEAM!

Lux watched as Adi loaded another ball onto the sling shot.

EEEP!!

Fingers crossed that this would be another hit. The ball was launched into the air and connected with the target. "Yay!!" So awesome. She did a little happy dance.

He and Zander had swapped out for Angel and AJ and the girls had gotten a score of their own off the other team. Woot Woot. Maybe they had finally gotten a rhythm in this competition, or at least the close knit group of friends and housemates was best taking charge of the situation. It wasn't as if no one else had a chance but they were the ones stepping up at the moment.

Benny opted to move to load their sling shot once more just as the other team got another hit off them. So it was back on. And giving the professors didn't look ready to stop them, class was still going. One foam ball projectile in the perch of the shooter, all ready to be launched towards the other side.

Who had it?

Yes. Yes. Yes. Flailing about and fist bumping the air was happening. Yeah, they had to still be losing pretty badly, but they were coming back and that was all you needed to get pumped all over again. How much longer until the class was over? They had to pull this out. Tacos all around. Okay. Not really. That seemed a bit extreme. She could share though... with some people.

She watched as another one of their targets were knocked down. Dangit. Yeah, they were on a roll, but if the other team kept getting hits all they were accomplishing was staying the same. So, that really wasn't an accomplishment at all.

Not time to panic just yet. AJ ran over to help Benny out. Aim was just right. Whooooosh. HIT!!!

He wasn’t going to give up determination were two of his biggest traits. Even if his previous ball had missed the moving target he had aimed for, he was going to try again. YEPPERS!


He had watched his ball sail, sail, sail (Hey! That reminded him of Sail by AWOLNation. A fave song of his. Hehe) Now all he wanted to do was sing the song as he watched his ball smacked into the wall behind the target. Woopsie.

BUUUUUT! TIME TO LOAD ANOTHER BALL!

Into the slingshot one went as he pulled on the thing to bring it back.

Yaaaaaay!!

Lux was really happy that they had made that last hit. There were a few misses, but the Ravenpuffs were going strong. They were a determined bunch of people and Badgers. Did work hard!

Adi loaded another ball onto the sling shot, and it soared through the air making a direct hit on a target. "Awesome!" Fist pump.

Success!

"Good job!" AJ had made that hit through and through. However there was no time to rest on their laurels as there was flying objects coming from the other side still. Benny grabbed ahold of another ball, loading it into the sling shot to be all set for the next pull.

Please work out....please work out. They couldn't let Ravenpuff run away with the game.They wouldn't if they just kept trying to do their best. And that's what they were doing. Not...giving...up.

Does it matter now if he kept track of the scores? Probably not, because again, time's running out and they need to launch as much softee balls as possible.

However, the moving targets didn't help.

Without a word, Ethan stepped up and pulled the loaded slingshot, aimed it at one of the moving Ravenpuff targets, and BOOM!

A hit.

Moxley was having a grand old time watching the kiddos launch those dodge balls at the cell phone cutouts. She felt like she was at a sporting event and all she was missing was the pompoms, eh? NOT that she was cheering for anyone in particular or anything. Y'know, like her former house. Ahem. GET IT TOGETHER, GRYFFINDORS. She also wasn't distracted by the plate of warm, delicious tacos sitting on Tiara's desk. NOPE. Not even thinking about how tasty those would be if she were to chomp into one while the children were hard at work...NOT THINKING ABOUT THAT.

When Tanner opted to make the targets move, Moxley let out a little chuckle. OH-HO-HO, they had their work cut out for them. They were also running out of time. Seriously though, how were those Ravenpuff kiddos so good at launching and loading? They were like a well-oiled machine. Still, AJ and Benny were doing a fine job playing catch up.

After a while, Moxley called out, "UPDATE! RAVENPUFFS at 21 and SLYTHERDORS at 14! We're in the home stretch now!" And y'know, being that it was the home stretch, why not make the cell phone cutouts move a bit faster? With a flick of her wand at each side, that's exactly what Moxley did.

Not good! Ethan wasted no time to get another ball and placed it on the slingshot. And...wait. Did Moxley just...? Merlin's socks, those cutout targets are moving faster! The Slytherin looked around to see if his mates were as worried as he is.

But yeah, no time for that because they're behind 7 freaking points! They need to work their butts off this time, and secure a win!

"Loaded and ready to fire!"

Guess who was in the lead? THAT'S RIGHT. RAVENPUFF REPRESEEEENT. Norah paused her excited watching of the game to let out a loud "Whoooooo!" It was necessary, okay? Pom poms were also necessary but seeing as she didn't have any of those she'd just have to resort to waving her arms and cheering instead. That had to count for something. Giving a thumbs up to Lux, who had hit the most recent target, she moved towards the slingshot again. The targets were moving even FASTER now, which was all sorts of intimidating soooo no launching for her. The fourth year was going to stick to loading the rubber band this time, thank you very much.

She picked up a foam ball and positioned it in the slingshot, holding it in place as she looked around at her team. "I've got one loaded in here" GO GO GO.

Wait, whaaat?! Only seven points difference? Sure, they were in the lead, but not by much! Kate scurried around just a little bit, although she had no idea why. She was just still running on the adrenaline from this little match. "We got this! GO TEAM!" she said, trying to encourage both the Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuffs. Although, she didn't think they needed much encouraging. They were all doing pretty awesome.

Seeing Norah approach the slingshot, Kate edged in a little closer until she was standing right by the Hufflepuff girl. A moment later, the ball was soaring through the air toward the target. Kate held her breath. It looked like it was going straight in...

...and it did! "SCORE!" she cheered.

Norah watched with a giddy smile as Kate brought in another point for their team. AW YEAH. They were going to be SO GOOD. She could feeeeeel it. She gave the younger girl a thumbs up and a huge grin. What a TEAM, man! She watched the targets move around some more before looking around for a foam ball. They were on a roll for sure!

Not wanting to mess up their awesome flow, the fourth year stooped quickly when she spotted a foam ball and got to the slingshot with a big leap. Leaping was much faster AND funner than walking. Everybody knew that. Norah positioned the ball in the rubber band just like before and called out to the students around here. "Another one is ready!" C'MON PEOPLE. They could maintain the lead if it was the last thing they ever did. Okay, that'd probably not be the best idea because she hadn't even eaten yet, but y'know it was the thought that counted.
