Chapter Sixteen - Dark and Mysterious

"Bella, STOP!" Anton cried, as he ran after his sister, weaving in and out of trees and jumping over puddles of mud.
"INDIANA!" Bella cried, her panting and sobbing getting louder as she got closer to Hogsmeade.
Melanie was close behind Anton, practically on his heels, wand at the ready.
"Anton, you're the fastest runner!" Melanie yelled, "Go and get help! I'll get Bella!"
Anton froze in his spot, and nodded quickly at Melanie, his eyes wild with fear and fury, as he ran back toward Hogwarts.
Melanie continued to race after her younger sister, another scream making itself heard, as Bella skidded to a stop at the platform, her body frozen.
Melanie sped up before halting just beside Bella, her brown eyes widening in fear.
Crumpled on the ground was a trembling Indie, curled into a ball shaking uncontrollably, as a black, cloaked figure moved swiftly along the platform into the dark.
"COME BACK HERE, DEATH EATER!" Bella shrieked, as she sprinted toward the masked madman, leaving Melanie to drop by Indie's side.
Spluttering, Indie opened her mouth to speak.
"Don't -- let -- her -- go!" she rasped, reaching out toward her sister, as she ran after the Death Eater into the forest nearby.
"But, Indie -"
"No," she demanded, coughing, "Get - Bella...now!"
"She's too far away, Indie," Melanie cried, the tears spilling now, as she was forced to choose between her two sisters.
Indie shook her head, her panting growing more intense, as her eyes found it harder to stay open.
At that instant, Harry and George turned the corner, Harry sliding to his knees beside Indie and Melanie.
"Where's Bella?" Harry asked, his eyes wide also, as a bright, green light lit up the sky above the forest, showering the platform in an evil glow.
Melanie, not thinking, jumped from her spot, sprinting headlong into the forest, closely followed by George.
Harry, left beside Indie, watched as Melanie and George disappeared into the forest, and a cloaked man made his way slowly toward the two fifth years. Indie began whimpering in fear, before going blank.
"Indie!" Harry exclaimed, as he nudged gently on her shoulder, before pulling out his wand, and standing, prepared to face the unknown evil.
"No, Harry," said a female voice in his head, startling him, but making him stop, "I've got it under control."
A moment later, the figure turned around, and disappeared into thin air, leaving Harry startled, though relieved.
At that moment, he realised the voice in his head was Indie, and felt even better when he saw Bella, Melanie and George walking back toward him along Hogsmeade platform.
"Harry..." Indie spluttered, as she coughed from where she lay, causing Harry to turn quickly. Unable to stay conscious, she allowed her eyelids to flutter closed, her breathing becoming shallow and difficult. Rushing over, Harry began to pick Indie up as the other three arrived, as did Anton, Hermione and Ron, along with Hagrid.
"Blimey!" exclaimed the giant, "Wha' 'appened 'ere?"
"Nobody knows," Melanie said.
"But we need to get Indie to the Hospital Wing, now!" Bella cried, her face blotched with tears and still pasty with fear.
"Yer not wrong there, Bella!" Hagrid agreed, taking Indie from Harry, the blonde Gryffindor appearing tiny in his arms.
"Come on then, all the security checks are done, yeh'll have teh miss the sortin' an' all -"
"Less talk, more walk, Hagrid," Harry demanded, as he followed Hagrid and the others up to the castle.
Walking beside a teary Bella, Harry grabbed her hand quickly, her head turning to look at him, her eyes red.
"Don't worry, Bella," Harry said, "she's strong, your sister..."
Bella attempted a smile, but it came out more like a grimace, as Harry continued, giving a smile in Bella's direction.

"Indie's going to be okay."
