today's special: a brand new chapter with a side of love, comedy and dripping with sarcasm!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter Fifteen - Hogsmeade Station Hiccup
The train ride had been going on for about an hour now, but Indie hadn't noticed; life in the carriage was flying quickly.
"What about when Ron got attacked by that Doxy in the lounge room..."
"Or when Hermione got like, five, stuck in her hair...?"
"And then Indie dived on Harry!"
The last one made everyone dive into an awkward silence, Bella clearing her throat loudly, attempting to save her blushing sister from embarrassment.
"Say Indie, wanna go find the trolley? I'm starved!" Bella exclaimed, standing up and grabbing her purse.
"Sure," Indie cried, standing up instantly, "Mel, come with us!"
Melanie groaned loudly, but obliged anyways, as her rumbling stomach made her want to stand up.
"Only if you shout me a packet of Bertie's!" she said, as she followed her two younger sisters out of the carriage.
Once they were out of hearing distance, Bella grabbed Indie's arm, bouncing up and down on the spot in excitement.
"Oh my golly gosh; Indiana Maree Stewart!" Bella cried, "Did you not see that?!?! Harry could not stop smiling and looking at you that whole time!"
Indie laughed, her cheeks a tad pinker than they were a moment ago.
"Seriously, Bella, I don't think it's going to happen," she said, "we've both got a lot of things on our minds, besides, as if Little Miss Ginger is going to let that happen."
Bella groaned loud enough, people inside the carriage next to her gave them a puzzled look.
"Indie! Come ON!" she whined, pulling her sister's hand, "You have to promise me that if he asks you, the answer will be yes!"
Indie hesitated, looking up and twiddling her thumbs.
"Weeeeeeeeell..........."
"INDIE!!"
"Fine!" Indie agreed to her sister's whine.
"Oh my god, get over it!" Melanie exclaimed, "Seriously, I'm sick of hearing about how much Indie and Harry apparently love each other! I just want a packet of Bertie's, and I'm not paying after this!"
Indie and Bella rolled their eyes; their older sister was under the impression she was more mature than them, and was really no fun anymore.
"Well, at least we don't act like we hate funny guys, just because we can't pick a twin!" Bella exclaimed, causing Melanie to gasp, her cheeks a fiery shade of red.
Indie and Bella stood back, holding hands and holding their free hands to their mouths to hold back laughter.
"Well, I don't need your Bertie Beans!" she cried, turning on her heel and storming off in a huff, leaving Bella and Indie laughing as the trolley approached. * * *
The sun was going down outside, as everyone was standing up and stretching to prepare to get off at Hogsmeade.
"It really doesn't feel like we've ridden the train all the way to Hogwarts," Bella said, as she pulled her coat from her waist and put it on.
"I know!" Hermione exclaimed, Anton nodding as well, "It really didn't feel as long this year!"
"Bloody hell!" Ron cried, as he lifted jumpers and bags, in search of....something!
Bella sighed, as she walked up to Ron, "What have you lost now?" she asked, "At least you can't lose Scabbers anymore..."
"I can't find my wand," he said, "It fell out of my pocket...I think."
"Honestly, Ronald," Hermione scolded, "you ought to take better care of your things!"
"Oh shut it, Hermione!"
"At least I don't lose my wand!"
"At least I don't act like a know-it-all, all the time!"
"Stop!"
Anton's voice broke the argument, as he held a small, wooden item in his hand; Ron's wand!
Sighing in relief, Ron rushed over and took it from the blonde-haired boy.
"Thanks mate, saved me from a Howler there!" he said, laughing and patting Anton on the back.
Anton smiled, as he began to make his way off the train, most of the group following along, chatting incoherently.
They stood on the platform for several moments, as the first years cleared away, then the younger years as well, before it was only them and a few prefects left on the platform.
Laughing, they all headed toward the carriages, which appeared to be pulling themselves. Although, Harry begged to differ.
"What are they?" he asked, being met with confused looks from everybody around him.
Hermione stepped forward, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"There's nothing pulling the carriage, Harry," Hermione said, "it's pulling itself, like always."
A moment of silence passed, as Harry gazed at the black skeletal horse it seemed only he could see.
"They're called Thestrals," came a light, airy voice from the carriage. A pale, blonde, surprised looking girl lowered an upside down magazine to show her face to the group.
"Not everybody can see them," she said, "only those who have -"
A blood-curling scream cut across the girl before she could finish her sentence, as every head turned back toward Hogsmeade station, where they had just been.
Everyone's eyes were wide, as Bella's bag hit the ground at about the same time as her jaw. Another scream broke the night silence, as Bella awoke from her stupor and turned a pasty white, her scream as loud and fearful as the one just heard.
"INDIE!!!!!"
