Carefully, she scooped up some onto her little spoon, and walked vaiiiry sloooowly walked over to the Professor, keeping her eye on her spoon at all times. She finally reached her, and then held out her spoon silently. She smiled timidly at the Professor. She was gonna do NOTHING to get points removed from her house. No way, hosay.
"I won't eat you. You can talk, if you can say inteligent things like may I please have a phoenix tear." Sheesh these kids were weird. Nevertheless she dropped a tear into the girl's bicorn powder. "Go stir it into your cauldron."

Taking his Bicorn horn Patroclus began to crush it into dust, before scooping it up and heading to the front,
"Thank you Professor" he smiled as he held out his spoon.

Once he had his Phoenix tear, Patroclus returned to his cauldron, added the Horn Tear mixture and stirred 15 times Clockwise!

Once the two minutes were over he added the Knot Grass to the cauldron and was ready to move on!
She gave the boy his phoenix tear.

ooc: Please don't RP for me. What if I wanted to withhold the ingredient?

At first, looking at his friends then looking down at the brass cauldron, the Gryffindor boy slowly realised what he had done as seconds passed. Now every single ingredient on the list was swimming in the goat's milk in his cauldron and he had no idea what this potion would be like in the end.

Now what was he supposed to do?

As the professor mentioned crushing the bicorn horn, Josh's dark brown gaze landed on the solid bicorn horn in his cauldron. Eh, there was nothing else to do other than mentioning it to the professor. Maybe there was a way to fix it. ''Erm professor!'' the Gryffindor stood up without hesitating ''I have already added the bicorn horn...well...actually...i have already added everything''
She looked at the concoction... and then at the boy... and then... sighed. "Carter. At least you didn't waste the phoenix tear." She vanished his potion. "Follow directions, Master Carter, and make it again."

"That looks right..." She said and dropped the tear in her spoon.

"You may." She said and dropped a tear into the spoon.

Eli shot Ellie a look, one meant to mean "BE CAREFUL!" He did not want her to incite the wrath of the DeathEater LaFlame. He tried to ignore the she-snakes, but could not help feeling like a tiny bit of prey between two predators. He squirmed as they glared at him. He kept glancing at the poor prefect. He was doomed. Eli was no Gryffindor, but he felt he had to do something. Maybe LaFlame didn't know- or didn't care - about the Cursed Champion's condition.

Ugh, this class was miserable!

Miserable, that is, until that Crocker kid spoke up. He stifled a giggle and a thought hit him- the best way to keep the prefect safe, logically, was by creating a diversion.

Eli started his brewing process, pouring in the milk and writing in his journal dutifully. He watched LaFlame, waiting for the right moment. When she turned, he slipped a piece of parchment into his journal and continued writing. When she was not looking again, he slipped it off his desk and folded it quickly, then raised his hand.

"Perfesser?" he asked, still holding the paper under his desk.
"What is it Master Jarod?" She said with a hiss. This kid was the bane of her existence...

Amy's eye's widened the scary teacher was excercising her power over the class and it was...

Terrifying!

Scourgify she cleaned out her mortar and pestle, walked over to the ingridients cupboard and took out some bicon horn, she put it in the mortar and began to crush it, taking some out and putting it on the tablespoon, she stood up and walked over to the professor, Can I have a phoenix tear please professor? She asked politley, waiting for the tear
"Yes you may." She said and gave her that tear.

He was about to start crushing the bicorn horn as directed when Josh spoke up beside him to get Lafay's attention. It was then that Simon looked over at his friend's cauldron and realised he hadn't caught up he had technically surpassed the class even though by the looks of it the ingrediants were far from prepared correctly.

"Josh....what did you do?" he asked slowly. He was a little afraid of what sor of answer his friend was gonna give to him or even get from the professor when she answered. But he didn't take into account what might happen to the potion itself if not prepared the exact way it should.
"The same thing you are doing. Not paying attention. Where is your crushed bicorn horn?" She asked the boy.

Now...

What was he supposed to do again?

As he went through his mind on what he should be doing at the moment, his ear couldn't help but catch someone... making fun of him? Willie's eyes widened. Breathing techniques. Breathing techniques. BREATHING TECHNIQUES.

"Breathing techniques, my bum!" he hissed angrily, standing up from his seat, marching towards the boy and grabbing him from the back of his collar. "Oiii, watch ye mouth ya litt'e plum, or I'll sen' ya sobbin' ter ye mum."

He hadn't forgotten he was in class. Oh, no. In fact, he looked up at the professor and gave her the biggest, cheesiest smile he could ever give.
"Crocker. As much as I appreciate the fact that you are trying to... defend me in some way, I do not need it. Leave Jarod be." She said.

Maybe this was just as good. "Let me go, you git bully!" he shouted, his free hand going for his wand, drawing and pointing it at the bully. Or maybe at his very FULL cauldron which was by the bully Crocker. Or both. He couldn't tell, shooting over his shoulder like this... "Wingardium Leviosa!"

It wasn't a GOOD defensive spell. But it was one he knew he could do.
"Jarod! Wands away!" She said trying to stay calm.

"HEY! Put...your...wand...AWAY!" Now! The Slytherin really had learned her own lessons about using wands in the classroom that weren't for the purpose of the lesson. It resulted in points loss, and detentions. And since she was supposed to be looking after him and making sure he LEARNED instead of getting into trouble, SHE probably was going down with him! Along with Destiny. Who, pretty much shouldn't have been in the situation and Evelyn still needed to apologize to her.

GAH! It also didn't help that she didn't realize he had cast a spell already.
Good, she was sort of helping...

This potion seemed to be going good. YAY!

After adding the mixture of the dust and the phoenix tear she stirred 15 times clockwise.

Imagine waht would happen if she stirred counterclockwise.
She glared at the girl who TOOK her phoenix tear instead of asking... but pandamonium was happening and she couldn't be bothered... she'd deal with her later... if she remembered.

POINK.

"Ohhhhhhhhh muuuuuuum, loooooook at 'em staaaaaaaaaaars," he blubbered, his hand letting go of the boy as placed it onto the side of his head where the very fully cauldron hit him.(I'm going to make two assumptions. One, the cauldron moved on its own due to levitation. Two,some of the potion is dripping on him. lol.) He felt a thick, slobbery kind of goo on his shoulder, but he really didn't care. He saw STARS.

"Puuuu--Staaaaaaars"

"Serves you right, you bully." Eli snarked under his breath at the boy. He actually felt a little proud of himself for defending himself. Then he remembered where he was. Ohhhhhh Merlin. I'm in trouble...

He stepped backwards one more step to his work station and crouched there, wishing he could do a disillusionment charm. LaFlame was going to kill him.

At least she wasn't going to bother the Cursed Champion? As possible last thoughts on the planet went, this thought hardly seemed comforting.
"Jarod, Crocker!" She said getting angry and knocking over the leeches as she cleaned the boy off of the incomplete potion. The jar broke and leaches were everywhere... she stood still, closed her eyes and tried to breathe. "You two are to stay after class and clean up the leeches. With your bare hands." She said angrily.

Raiden was right--that tear was too precious to be used in a stupid potion and if professor wanted him to, he'd leave. He hoped that things didn't go that far, though.
"If you want to not have a completed potion. It'll regress the drinker, but it will damage them, if not kill them while their muscles contract down to size." She said. Without it, it just wouldn't work...

She addressed the rest of the class. "Keep coming up if you need your tear." She said. "Take the daisy root and start chopping it with your silver knife. This is important. Before you chop it, use the handle to crush it a bit, so more of the juices come out as you chop." She did so, and then dropped it in her cauldron.
