MINI CHALLENGE #6: New Beginnings

James, as usual looked down the table towards Lily to catch her eyes, a smile, a frown, anything for him to start his day with. He was starting to be tortured by this cold treatment. It’s been going on for days to no end.
Sirius sighed.
James shiftily looked at him, “I’d do anything to have a word with her again”.
Sirius quirked a brow, “it’s not like you. Usually you swing back into the game right after she throws a fit”.
“I usually am, this time she’s been really upset after I hung Snape upside down by the lake” he scoffed, how can someone get upset over Snivellus was beyond him.
“Try harder” Sirius suggested, very distracted.
“I’ve tried” James bit his lower lip and pushed his plate out of the way, “it’s not working. I think it’s time I change my ways, start with a fresh page... a new beginning” he heaved and looked at Sirius.
Remus smacked Sirius’s back until a small piece popped out of his mouth and rolled down the table.
“No need to joke” Sirius cleared his throat.
“I’m serious, I think it’s time I start new with her and prove I mean it”.
