18/ Whomping Willow

Emery Twinklebright watched the long branches of the Whomping Willow reach toward her, hitting the ground with restless thuds. Thump. Thump. Thump.

Try as she might, there just seemed to be NO way to get close enough to the tree to give it a nuzzle.

“Hey! You! Author person,” Emery shouted at the sky.

Hmmm?

“I want to be graceful.”

I made you graceful.

“I want to be graceful enough to dance right up to the tree without any of the branches touching me,” Emery stomped her foot.

I don’t think so. I’m going for canon accuracy.

“Why start now?”
