Chapter Ten


“ Hey.. Wake up princess.” I awoke to Michael's face hovering over mine and almost shrieked but he placed his hand over my mouth.” Come on, get out of bed already.” He laughed quietly, I blinked several times, it wasn't even light yet. I slid back under my covers and slipped on some skinny jeans then grabbed a sweatshirt and popped that over my head following Michael outside, it was a little chilly, so he pulled me closer to him. I'm such a hopeless romantic.” Just wanted to show you the sunrise, it's really pretty.”


My friends had been visiting for the past week and this was probably the strangest thing any had said to me so far.” Oh, yea. I've never watched it before.” I whispered more to myself then him, I placed my head on his shoulder hardly noticing his arm around my waist. We sat there together, silent, watching the sunrise. It was one of the most magnificent things I had ever seen in my life.” Thanks.” I smiled warmly at him after we had been sitting for about an hour together in silence, an hour after the sun rose. He just grinned at me.


“ No problem, everyone deserves to see that.” Michael said looking at me. I sat up straight and yawned.” Okay, let's get you back to sleep.” Before I could protest he lifted me up and carried me right back to my bed, at least I think he did. I fell asleep before we got there, and woke up in my bed, I swear that boys like carrying me around, it's kind of funny. Kind of..” Okay, will you wake up already? Your dad's getting annoyed because you slept in and Jake is threatening to eat your food.” Michael was again, the one to wake me. I shot up and hit his head.


“ Sorry.” I shouted behind me running down the stairs to find, and stop Jacob from eating my food. I saw him sitting on the living room rug, which is where we had been eating, and pounced on his back, to which a scream was his response.” Don't. Touch. My. Food.” I glowered at him, then walked in to the kitchen smirking to get my food, and coffee. Jacob was still staring at me and rubbing my back when I sat down.” Yes?” I asked still smirking.


“ That was.. Your the first person to ever pounce on me. And that HURT!” He glowered at me. I just laughed, I know, I'm cruel.” Hey, Michael. Why did you have to wake her up? I was going to eat her food.. And not get pounced on.” Jacob turned to Michael who had just entered the room, he raised his eyebrows at me about the pouncing part. I feigned innocence, knowing it wouldn't work. It might have several years ago, but.. Yea.


“ Oh quit your whining Jacob. Grow up already.” I punched his arm lightly, he glared at me again.” So, thanks daddy for the meal. I really enjoyed it.” I hugged him then went skipping back in to my room, almost running in to Simon who was on his way down the stairs.” Oops, sorry Sim. Foods good, make sure that Jacob doesn't steal yours, if he causes trouble I'll pounce on him again.” I said to him quickly before continuing upstairs. Simon just stared at me suspicious before going downstairs.


“ Hi Calypso girl, what's up?” Valentine waved at me.” Do I even want to know where you went at some god-forsaken time in the morning with one of the boys?” She asked yawning and jumping off the bunk-bed.” Hey wake up Z, you've been sleeping in recently.” Val then whacked Zoe with her pillow. She turned back to me, waiting for a answer. I immediately regretted coming back upstairs. This certainly was funny though.
