Obi-Wan-K'Lari: K'Lari,Yep, the prize goes to the, Super Sleuth, OOPS! Did I just give away a clue to K'Lari's big moment in this chapter? (and there is no prize, it's just an exspression you know )Hope you like the chapter. 
Molly W.: Stephie, as to more of the basketball game, I did have loads more, but was afraid it would take to much away from the main story line. There was stuff like, Sirius and Lupin ganging up against James, Teddy accidentally, blowing up the ball, and for some reason the ball he conjured up always seemed to score points for him, and Ottery never did believe Peter's story, and for some reason, Peter had a really hard time getting the ball, and was always having to pick himself up off of the ground, the cluts. always the loyal pal that Ottery.
Lord Greenie: Hey Son, I hate snakes also. I had to wear my dragon hide gloves to type that part, and even kept them handy in case one of 'em didn't go with the rest to form the massive one going against James. 
I'm glad everybody liked the chapter, and thanks to each and everyone who takes the time to read this story. Missing Ottery, and hope he's able to come back real soon.  Please pay close attention to the A/N in the very beginning of this chapter! I'm serious. Next Friday, hopefully I'll post: Chapter Thirteen - "And What of Neville?" CHAPTER TWELVE
Narrow Escapes and Narrow Rescues
Authors note:
Please be advised that this chapter contains much hardship and heart wrenching passages, and if there are those who have trouble with this sort of thing, you are best off to skip to the next chapter. Also these next two chapters are short and told in a sort of documentary style, as Tom could not possibly have been at all these places, so we’re learning about these goings on as reports were made, and converted to story form by the narrator.
Times were getting so frightening. Torture and murder was happening all over. Now and then, Death Eaters captured Order members, and did terrible things to them. Widespread panic had a grip on magic folk all over the world.
Maria, and Steven, moved to the states, California, to campaign for more witches and wizards to join the Order. (Her Aunt Connie misses her very much.)
Ottery and Kelly moved to Albania. Eyewitness accounts to Dumbledore places Voldemort there. They were to be very cautious, and find a business to run that would enable everyone to communicate with each other secretly. They had a most dangerous duty to the Order, for they were going to send coded messages to other Order members right under Voltemort’s nose, and His Death Eaters were everywhere. They started a club that went over airwaves for magical folk and internet for Muggles and squibs. They call it, “The Seeker of the Snitch” It was really quite ingenious. Ottery would go out on missions, then return and he and Kelly would write ingenious stories that communicated information to Dumbledore who translated the code and reported the new information to the Order. They were exceptionally talented writers and got quite a following of fans.
Of James and Lily’s duty, James did most of the work so Lily could stay home with baby Harry.
Lissy was madly in love with Sirius, and although he finally told her he was madly in love with her, (not his words though) told her he couldn’t commit to her at this time. He said he was trying to work something out to help James and Lily. There had been several attempts on their lives, and James had more than a few narrow escapes. Lily had a narrow escape while she was out with Harry, and James said it was due to the cat that they escaped.
K’Lari and Teddy are doing very dangerous search and rescue operations. They live with their lives on the line twenty-four hours a day. Teddy use to laugh and boast this was the reason he was born. It shook him though when the death eaters captured Aurors Frank and Alice Longbottom along with their baby, Neville. He still beats himself up for not saving them. K’Lari scolded him and reminded him that he did save them and the baby, and he himself, narrowly escaped death in the process of the rescue.
The Longbottom’s received a warning that the Lestranges were on their way to their place. They set out their Patronus‘s, but had to leave as they sent them. Teddy and K’Lari responded when they received the Patronus’s, and was there only seconds later. They were already gone and it was obvious someone was after them. K’Lari’s uncanny tracking skills found clues to each place they stopped at.
Frank had been working on a special patronus charm that would leave just the tiniest silvery wisps to settle just above the ground. It would linger until discovered, then change into a cryptic map then dissipate. They were able to get to them almost instantly. The way the Lestranges were able to get to them was they caught hold of Alice as she was starting to disapparate.
When Teddy and K’Lari caught up to them, they had already started torturing them with the Cruciatus Curse. The scene was too gruesome to describe in detail. Let it be known though, that the Lestranges are veracious wicked animals, who laughed during each curse. They kept asking what the baby’s special power was. They were screaming that he did not have any. Then they did the unthinkable. They summoned a great snake called Nagini to hold Frank and Alice in her coils, and started performing the Cruciatus Curse on poor, poor little Neville. His screams were insufferable. They begged and pleaded, they did not know what they wanted of them. The relentless curses and seeing their precious Neville writhing about, screaming and crying drove them mad.
K’Lari screamed, and vomited. They were only there seconds. Teddy in one motion scooped up Neville and handed him to K‘Lari, who was two feet from him. “Go!” he screamed. “I’ll catch up!”
Teddy killed one of the Lestranges, and the other one got away. “Hopefully I’ll live to get her and send her to be with her husband.” Thought Teddy, as he watched the snake release the Longbottom’s and start slithering over to him. Quickly he conjured a soft rope and looped it around James and Alice, then touched it with his wand and said; “Portus St Mungo’s” and they disappeared as the snake struck him.
He performed all kinds of spells on it, but they just bounced off it. He tried to disapparate, but was unable to move, the poison already affecting him. The snake struck repeatedly. He knew he was an inch from loosing his life when Dumbledore showed up.
Dumbledore assessed the situation, and released a great bolt of lightening on Nagini. This was not a magic spell. The lightening was real; magic was the cause of it. Therefore, the magic shield protecting her from magic spells did not prevent the lightening bolt from hitting her. It shortly dropped back. Dumbledore knew this would not kill it, but it did give him enough time to pick up Teddy and disapparated with him.
Teddy was in St Mungo’s clinging to life only by sheer will power. For two weeks, he fought to stay alive. Finally, on the fourteenth night there, his Dr. called K’Lari from his room. “We’ve done everything we can for him, and he’s so weak. Tired of fighting, I can tell. If he comes to any at all, "he paused and put his hand on her shoulder, "you need to say good-bye, and let him go."
K’Lari did not want to accept what the Dr. told her. During the night, she woke, while sitting at his bedside holding his hand, to see Teddy looking at her. He smiled slightly and whispered very weakly. “Hey beautiful, how about a date? We can break out of here and go have some fun. What do ya say?” Then he closed his eyes and lay motionless with the smile still on his face.
