Another update!

Chapter Thirteen

As I looked back over the past few weeks I realized that they weren't that bad, Orion was incredibly less annoying. And I am now dating Christopher Young, I can hardly believe that he asked me out over a week ago, tonight I am going on my fifth date with him. And half the girls in school are jealous. I think that I am growing less hateful day by day, I find myself acting nicer. I bet Sidney's rubbing off on me finally. Groaning, I decided to go to the Head prefects library, there are all sorts of books in there that aren't in the normal library, probably because we have to do more research.
“ Hey Tess.” Orion looked up quickly from his book then returned to reading it.
“ Hi.” I simply responded, picking up a book for Charms. There was silence, and my book was completely boring.” Whatcha reading?” I asked after a few minutes.
“ Quidditch through the ages.” Orion smirked at me,
“ Is that all you ever read?” I couldn't help but ask.
“ Maybe,” Came his reply, then started reading again. Over a hour later we both started to exit the library, it was getting late. Surprisingly Orion held the door open for me.
“ um, thanks?” I said warily.
“ No problem.” Orion sounded cold, and.. Polite?! It looked like he was crying.
WOAH Girl calm down! Orion would not.. Yea he is!
“ What's wrong?” I asked after mentally screaming at myself.
“ Nothing.” Orion quickly responded turning around and shutting the door.
“ Yea there is, you don't normally cry.” I surprised myself. Usually if he was crying or near there I would tease him endlessly. I'm getting to kind.
“ Nothing is the matter, at least nothing that you can deal with.” Orion snapped.
“ No need to get angry.” I retorted just then noticing how close we where together.
“ I'm not angry, I just don't like you getting in to my personal business.” Orion seemed to have calmed down a bit.
“ I was just wondering why you where upset, your not someone that easily upset.” I persisted, trying to ignore the fact that his face was inches away from mine.
“ When I said I would appreciate if you two became closer to each other, I didn't mean that close.” There was a sense of humor in McGonagall's voice. I jumped over a foot away from Orion, doing my best to not pull my wand out as I did, I also seemed to have gone rather red.
“ Did you want to talk to us?” I tried to calm down.
“ Actually yes I did, I wanted to let you know that the students from the other two wizarding schools arrive tomorrow.” McGonagall still sounded humored.
“ That's great.” I smiled.
“ Perfect.” Orion seemed cheered up suddenly, McGonagall cast us one last curious glance then disappeared.
“ You sure there's nothing I can do?” I rounded on Orion, making sure I was at least a foot away from him first.
“ 100% Sure.” Orion half glared at me, then turned around and left, I thought I heard him mutter something that had to do with pureblood but I wasn't so sure. Quickly I got ready for my date and left.

“ Really.. I enjoy this and all, but.. I don't feel myself around you, I dunno, it doesn't make any sense.” I almost groaned in frustration.
“ So.. You don't want to date me anymore?” Christopher was way more calm then I expected him to be.
“ It's... Yea.” I looked down at my hands.
“ Alright, he's really lucky you know.” Christopher said standing up.
“ What..?” I asked blankly.
“ You obviously like someone else, I was just saying he's lucky.” Christopher hugged me then left. I was going to protest but decided against it. I decided to go with glaring at him in my mind as I trudged back up the castle and slumped down on one of the couches in the heads living room.
“ What are you doing here?” Orion asked me suspiciously, I jumped up and almost shrieked.
“ Uh. Came back early, what are you doing here?” I countered suppressing a grin as I sat back down.
“ Didn't feel like going to Hogsmeade.” Orion answered taking the chair opposite from where I was sitting.
“ Yea right.” I muttered,
“ yea, right.” Orion said, somehow hearing me.” You look upset.”
“ I... So what if I am?” All thoughts of grinning disappeared with the thought of breaking up with Christopher.
“ Why are you?” Orion ignored what I said.
“ Erm... Because I am.” I knew this wouldn't work.” I broke up with Christopher.” I finally added. Orion watched me with, awe? Happiness? Confusion? Boy's are so hard to understand. After a few minutes of silence I decided to go get a book to read, it took me about eight minutes to find a book to read, and the one I found was rather dull. Finally I decided to get some rest, because classes started again tomorrow. Shortly after getting in bed, I fell in to a deep sleep...
