If it hadn't been for the headmaster's brave action, Lyra didn't even wanted to think about what had happend to the students. But still, the professor hadn't been herself and Lyra knew that she was actually a nice person. Even though the second year didn't like the subject.

Walking inside the room, Lyra spotted Evan quickly and walked over to his desk and sat beside him. Giving a sweet smile at him, Lyra bend down to grab her books out of her bag that she had placed on the ground, and placed them on the table.

Lyra then looked at the Professor, she looked horrible. "Good morning , Professor" she said and gave a small smile. "Are you ok?" Lyra looked a bit concerned but her eyes slowly followed the piece of chocolate on the table. Hehe..chocolate, ok maybe this class wasnt so bad!
"Yes, fine, thank you." Alessia said confused... was she still gaunt looking? She tried not to think about it and went on.

"Good, let's hope it continues in that manner," she told her.

Even though Professor Lupa didn't need it since her hair was already pretty but they might get out of hand after the full moon.

Shaking his head, he glanced around the classroom and his eyes went back to the front of the class, "Can't wait for the lesson to start Professor. I bet it's going to be d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s." Chuckling, he licked his lips...ahh the cake looked scrumptious, wonder who baked it?
Alessia giggled at the boy. It would be delicious.

He had never really gone through his aunt's books on the subject since he was scared of the subject in general but he had seen a few runes laying on her desk as a child. "No questions professor. I do have a comment, though. The designs are nice!"
"I suppose they do," she said looking at them.

Wow. The creatures were completely foreign to him, but the information written below each picture are quite self-explanatory. He understood at once, hoping the rest of the class would actually be as easy. Well, his father once told him that, if he could done something without any difficulties, then he was doing it wrong. He shook the thought off of his head. He raised his hand--just for the sake of being formal in the class, and began to speak. He knew it wasn't important, what he was going to say, but he did it anyway.

"They are pretty understandable, Professor. I.. Have no question," he paused, "about.. This." he ended, smiling at his professor. Somehow he felt a weird kind of affection towards her.
... of course. They probably had questions about her... and her desease... or maybe they just wanted to know is Pepe tasted as sweet as he was. She smirked... bad joke. "Very well..."

Sara sighed with relief. She was glad she hadn't gotten Nataly into trouble for speaking to her during class!

The Prof had asked them to take ou their text book, so Sara put her Ancient Runes Made easy text book onto her desk and waited.
"Bertie Bott? Are you sure? And he's a Lord?" She'd pay him a visit soon enough.

You have me stumped," he said with an air of complete and utter bluntness. If he had any of the faintest idea why, he would have said it.

He waited on the professor's elaboration. What on earth could she possibly have in mind? He took out his book and looked at the first page. Nope. No help there, really. Just runes that looked far from typical, and nothing that had anything to do with baking or confections.
"As I am not a cruel person, it is not to torture you. It is indeed for eating, and as this is a 'different' class, it is also to reward..." She winked. "Patience, my dear Master Rimstone, and all shall be revealed."

She wanted to ask about the cake, but didn't have the slightest clues as to what it was there for. It smelled soooo good. Chocolate was after all her greatest weakness.

Maybe she could try out her recent Transfiguration lesson and turn it into stone so that she could concentrate on the lesson without drool dropping onto her desk. She contemplated quickly retrieving her wand and tried to remember the spell.

Duro, that was it. She thought about it for another moment and then came to her senses. There was no use risking getting in trouble on her first day in class. Besides Professor Lupa might take her cake.
"Oh good, a question..." She waved her wand with a dance like flourish and a fork appeared floating infront of Zoe DeValk's head. "You may eat your cake..." she said winking. "As for the answer to your question, no... I don't think it's a matter of better or worse... only different."

Alessia eyed the late arrival. "I hope you have a good excuse to tell us about why you are tardy Master Black." She said and stood straight, "Not for me, but for your fellow Ravenclaws as two points will be deducted from your house. Now to answer your question, we'll see how this class goes... but I do believe we will study some of the Furthark."

ooc: Next time, once the class starts, just pretend you've been here the whole time. (like dominic, below, did.)

Yet he was willing to give it yet another try because it was after all, his last opportunity.

Sitting in the second row, with his ankles crossed, he listened as Lupa explained that they wouldn't be doing Futhark Runes this class. To Dominic - this was a RELIEF. Especially at the mention of the textbook they'd be using. It was almost like Professor Lupa designed this class JUST for people like him.

Questions? Well he did have one... Raising his hand, "Just one, Professor. Why didn't you teach us about this easier method sooner?" Because you know, then maybe he would have gotten a better grade on his OWL. Heh.
"You will know that soon enough, Prefect Denton," she said and conjured a fork beside his plate. "Congrats on becoming Head Boy..." she whispered.

A fork appeared by Abby's plate. "No runes are used for divination my dear... Does anyone know why I say that?"
