Chapter 16
I sat down on my bed with Ginny in the Head's dormitory. I felt more and more tears pour down my face.
"Hermione, What's the matter?" Ginny asked.
"Only Ron likes me that's the problem." I said.
"What do you mean? This is great! I thought you liked Ron." Ginny said.
I stood up pacing the room trying to figure out who my feelings were for, Draco or Ron. They are both amazing but who do I choose. First I was trying to have Ron jealous but now I'm trying to make Draco jealous. What's the matter with me?
"'Mione, you don't know who to choose yet do you?" Ginny asked.
I shook my head and said,"Gin, to be honest I don't. I was planning to have Ron but since I've been with Draco, things well erm...have..erm...changed."
"I see, well when you do 'Mione please tell me first." Ginny said walking out of her room.
That might take a while. I thought. I walked out of her room into the Heads Kitchen. I looked in the cupboard and pulled out some crackers and cheese. I settled into one of the couchs and watched some T.V. I soon fell asleep on the couch but didn't notice someone entering the room. I was about to wake up when she felt a pair of hands trying to get something off of her neck. I shot up out of the couch and turned around to find Ron.
"Ron what are you doing?" I asked.
"I was trying to get the diamond necklace off of you since you like Malfoy instead of me." Ron said.
I had tears falling down my cheeks but I didn't dare to sob or weep.
"I love this necklace Ron! Please let me keep it!" I asked.
He shook his head, looked at me, and nodded. He started to leave but turned around and quickly said, "yolookdbeutfulnight."
"What? Sorry I didn't catch that." I said.
He ruffled his hair with his hands and said it slower this time, " I thought you looked beautiful tonight."
Before I could say anything he gasped angrily and left the common room.
I turned around to find Pansy and Draco snogging madly.
"Oi! Go into Malfoy's bedroom if you want to snog!" I yelled madly at them.
Draco smirked and said, "Don't you use that tone with me Mudblood!"
I winced at the name and felt more tears caressing my cheek. Malfoy's face softened a bit and it looked like he was about to reach out to wipe my tears away. He then angrily took his hand back probably remembering Pansy was there and smirked at me.
"Filthy Mudblood" Was all I could hear him say as Pansy and him walked off into his bedroom.
Harry's POV
This was an amazing night! I danced with Ginny and didn't even step on her toes! The best of all was the kiss! It was perfect! The only part I hated was the beginning of the ball when I couldn't find her! How was I supposed to know she was going to change her hair of all colors to blond! One of the most common! At least I got a dance and kiss from her. Harry thought.
Ron's POV
Lavender was all over me tonight! It only took her a few tries to find me but when she did I tried to mangle out of her grasp but I couldn't! She's like a leech from Africa or wherever they have those things! She is so clingy! Merlin's Beard! But when I got to dance with Hermione it was splendid! I might have stepped on her toes a bit but at least we danced! Oh how I wish I could just kiss her! From the beginning of the year - no from the First Year at Hogwarts - did I want her to be mine.
Hermione's POV
I walked into my bedroom pulling the sheets up toward my neck and settled in. I couldn't help but think of how the next day was supposed to go with all the boys probably murmuring in amazement about how good - looking I was this night. I wish I could look like how the charms made me but I would always be the same Gryffindor Princess to everyone. I sighed and thought about those memories but one memory I couldn't get out of her mind. How Viktor Krum said that he would be watching me. What if he was watching me right now through the window? Under my bed? In my bathroom? In my closet? Hmmm.....
