There was really no point in her not surrendering. She did not know the counter-curse herself, so it was not as if she could help herself and not surrender. So the sooner she surrendered, the better.
Even if that did mean accepting defeat. It was a perfectly respectable defeat; Steph was a sixth year, after all! |
