 Run, Emma, Run!
Okay my wonderful readers here is Chapter 19 to I'll Stand By You!
Chapter 19:
There were many gasps at Hermione’s sudden reaction. People were jumping up from their seats to see if she would turn back any time soon and say, “Ha ha! I got you!” But that never happened. Hermione was out the door without a second glance at all of her guest or at Draco, who took off behind her.
“Hermione what the heck are you doing!” Draco called after her. But Hermione ignored him and continued to run.
“Hermione!” Draco called once again. At that point Harry and Ron had joined him and where wondering what the heck was going on.
“Did she seem fine when you talked to her?” Ron asked Harry.
“Yes she did! She seemed perfectly fine!” Harry replied.
“Is this because I got drunk the night before? Because if it is I am blaming you two!” Draco yelled.
“Hey we invited you out for a drink not ten fire whiskeys!” Ron snapped.
“I hate my life!” Draco moaned as he fell to the floor.
“Draco get up!” Harry said as he pulled Draco to his feet. “Maybe she just got nervous. You know how Hermione is, she gets freaked out about everything”.
“I always thought I would be the one to walk out on someone because I’m me for heaven sakes!” Draco moaned.
“You know I don’t blame Hermione, you moan a lot” Ron smirked.
Draco threw Ron a dirty look and said, “Just be happy I can’t whoop your butt at Quidditch…wait…” Draco stopped talking.
“Don’t worry, you said ‘Quidditch’ right” Ron smiled.
Harry laughed but said, “What’s wrong Draco?”
“Krum…Krum has something to do with this!” Draco said.
“Krum?” Harry asked confused but Ron suddenly understood.
“You know Draco, Krum did threaten me a week ago. He said Hermione would be his” Ron said.
“Krum?” Harry said again.
“Yeah and he did go to Durmstrang so he could be using some dark magic on her to have made her do what she did” Draco said.
“KRUM?” Harry yelled.
“YES HARRY KRUM!” Draco yelled back. “He came by and started asking for Hermione and when he found out she was going to get married he said he wouldn’t allow it! You got it now!?”
“Yes I do, thank you!” Harry snapped. “But Hermione didn’t look like she was under the Imperius curse. She was acting fine”.
“But what…” Draco began.
“Face it Draco. She wasn’t ready. I’m sure she’ll call you later today and explain it all. And come on! Krum is an idiot! He can’t cast a spell without help. During the Triwizard Tournament he had his headmasters help all the way”.
Draco frowned and said, “I guess your right”.
“I don’t think so” Ron said scowling.
Harry rounded on Ron and said, “You think Krum would do such a thing?”
“Yes I do Harry. He seemed serious!”
“Ron…”
“I am right Harry and you know it! You just want Draco to not freak out and go do something stupid so you can do it for him! You are stubborn!”
“Ron, Krum…”
“For a use to be fan I think I know what I’m talking about!” Ron said as he stomped off towards the church.
“Draco let’s go and tell everyone the wedding is off until she is ready. She got nervous that’s all, really”.
Draco nodded and walked off. Harry led him all the way to the church and at the entrance turned back to where he last saw Hermione. And there she was in her beautiful dress starring at the church with a confused look on her face. But what Harry didn’t count on seeing was Krum snatching her away and forcing her to dissaperate with him.
Harry grabbed Draco by the arm and said, “Get Ron, we have to track down Krum”.
“But you said…” Draco began.
“And since when have you listened to me!” Harry snapped.
Draco actually took time to consider and said, “Never”.
Harry rolled his eyes and said, “Duh!”
Miles away in a huge manor…
“I knew the Imperius curse would work on such a foolish girl like you” Krum laughed as he sat Hermione down on a chair.
“Your wrong Vicky” Hermione said as she threw Krum’s arms off her. “I’m not stupid!”
Krum smiled, “So you came on your own account?”
Hermione smirked and said, “Yes. I came to show you all the pain Harry, Ron, Draco, and me have been dying to give you. But you know it took me awhile to throw off the curse...”
Hermione shrugged and pulled out her wand but was to slow for Krum. He snatched her wand away and broke it in two.
“There, no more magic for the little girl. Now listen either you do as I tell you or Draco here gets an early ticket to hell”.
“You leave him alone!”
“Then listen!”
“No!”
Krum waved his wand and yelled out the Imperius curse. Hermione was hit and could not fight it off this time, at least that's what Krum thought.
“Now how about we…”
“Say hello to your worst nightmare” someone snarled from behind Krum.
Draco appeared from the shadows followed by Harry and Ron.
“Ah you came to save the girl have you?” Krum smiled.
“And beat your…”
“Ron what would you mother say!” Harry smirked.
Ron smiled.
“Give me back Hermione and no one gets hurt” Draco said as he raised his wand.
“I think not. I love Hermione and I want her with me”.
“That’s nice coming from a guy who couldn’t say her name the first time he met her!” Ron scowled.
Krum raised his own wand.
“Expelliarmus!” Harry yelled.
The spell would have work if Krum had not dissaperated along with Hermione a few seconds before.
“Where the hell are they now?” Draco yelled turning to Harry.
“He wanted to have her at his place since fourth year but now who knows where he went now” Harry said shrugging.
Just then Hermione appeared and said, “We apparated a few floors above”.
“Hermione!” the three boys said.
“I want you to leave, all of you. I want to stay here” Hermione said.
“What!?” Draco said.
“I want to you to leave” Hermione repeated and walked away.
Harry went after her grabbed her by the arm and whispered, “What are you playing at?”
“I have a plan. Now go!” Hermione whispered back. “And don’t say a thing!”
Hermione had managed to resist the Imperius curse after all. But what was Miss Grangers plan?
