Ok here is a post for all my loyal readers Chapter 5
Ron never told Harry why he was in such a bad mood, but it lightened over the next week. The twins would stop by around dinner, after they had closed their shop down for the night. Bill had taken a month off from work. He was still healing from Greyback’s attack. Usually around lunchtime he would get a weird craving for raw beef.
On Saturday, the twins had taken the day off and they, Harry, Ron, Bill and Ginny got their broomsticks and played a game of quidditch in the garden. It felt so good to be back on his broom and just flying. Harry was on George and Ron’s team. Fred, Bill, and Ginny were on the opposite team. They were having so much fun, it was well past dark before Mrs. Weasly had come to get them.
************************************************** ******
The next morning, Harry and Ron both went down to breakfast in their pajamas. Hermione and Ginny were sitting at the kitchen table, with Mr.Weasly. Harry had only seen Mr. Weasly a few times after his appearance at his birthday party. Exhaustion coated his eyes and he looked at any minute he would collapse onto the table.
“Hi dad. You don’t have to work today?” Ron asked, sitting across from Ginny.
Mr.Weasly took a couple of seconds before answering. “No. I need to go back in a couple of hours.” He said tiredly.
“Your father has worked twenty hours straight. Why don’t you go get some sleep Arthur.” Mrs. Weasly said.
“Yeah I think I will.” He said, getting up from the table, rubbing his eyes. He walked out of the kitchen and they heard the soft thud thud thud, of him walking up the stairs.
Just then a barn owl flew through the window and landed on an empty chair, leg extended.
“Looks like your Hogwarts letters are in.” Mrs. Weasly said taking the envelopes from the owl’s leg. The owl hooted and flew back out the window.
As she handed out the letters to the right person, another owl flew through the window. This one was a multicolored brown, with amber eyes. He took a sharp turn and landed in front of Hermione, holding out his leg.
Hermione shot a glance at Ron, before taking the letter. Harry looked around at Ron too. He was looking down at the table cover, not looking at anybody.
“Whats that about?” Harry wondered to himself.
Hermione opened the letter and began to read to herself. Harry could tell she was trying to conceal a smile. When she finished, she handed the letter to Ginny, who began to read.
“Are you going to say yes?” Ginny asked Hermione, after she had finished skimming it.
“We’ll talk later.” Hermione replied, giving her a warning look.
“So I think we will all head to Diagon Alley today, after breakfast.” Mrs. Weasly said, bringing the attention off Hermione.
“Sounds great mum.” Ginny said cheerfully from her chair.
“Yeah. I’ve been needing a new quill.” Hermione commented.
Harry nodded his agreement and looked back at Ron. He looked like he was trying to look happy, but Harry could tell he was miserable. Why did a letter put him in such a down mood? Ther you all go Its a little slow right now, but I promise it will get better.
