Hogwarts RPG Name: Sylvannas Quickspeed Sixth | Chapter 24
Cara walked onto the Quiddich pitch, bravely clutching Tony's firebolt. Not wanting to wait, she climbed onto the broom and flew a few laps around the stadium. It still amazed her that she was on the Ravenclaw Quiddich team. Next to Gryffindor, they were favorites for the House Cup! Cara did a few loop-di-loops, and heard voices. Peering down, she saw two teammates. She flew down.
"Hi, I'm Cara. I'm the new-"
"-Seeker." The girl finished. "Ross told us. I'm Kristen Sharp, and this is-"
"-Maggie Roberts. We're the Beaters. You must be pretty good. Usually, Ross doesn't take first years." Cara looked puzzled.
"But the board said..."
"Yea, it's an open invitation. Even with it being an open invitation, he doesn't like it. He doesn't think talent starts at eleven. Jerk."
Cara giggled. Maggie looked her over carefully. She nudged Kristen.
"Kris...doesn't she look...familiar?" Kristen stared at Cara.
"No...why?"
"Because...she looks like...someone I saw..."
"Where did you see them?" Cara glanced curiously at Maggie, her laughter gone.
"Umm...I think by the Head Boy and Girl photos. She looks like-"
A boy came whizzing past her on a broom. Maggie leapt on her broom and sped after him. Kristen rolled her eyes.
"The rest of the team's here. Maggie's been chasing him all year." She led Cara to the group assembled by the goal posts. Kristen stayed by Cara's side. Cara was grateful.
Maggie and the boy landed near them, and dismounted. They approached the group. Tommy shot them a dirty look, and faced the team.
"OK people, listen up," Tommy said, "I have a feeling this is our year. We have a new Seeker. Her name's Cara Malfoy."
Cara waved as Maggie gave a little gasp. She stopped waving and blushed, her head to the ground. Tommy raised his eyebrows, and continued.
"So.....anyway, as I was saying...practices will be every other day. I want to start the year right! Sure, we started a little late, but we really had no choice, with Vince out of commission as he was. But now we can start training...right now. Mount up, let's start some drills!"
Two hours later, Cara felt like dead weight. She didn't like the idea of storing her broom in the public storeroom, so she took Tony's broom, and lazily flew it up to her Common Room. She flew through the portrait, and landed on the floor. She started to snore softly.
Tony came down from the boy's dorms, and saw her lying on the floor. He grinned. He took Cara in his arms and placed her onto the couch in front of the fire. He took the Firebolt and put it on the table. Picking a book from the huge shelf, he sat next to Cara and read until she awoke.
Cara stirred, and yawned. Spotting Tony, she got up.
"How long was I sleeping?"
"Only about thirty minutes." Tony closed his book. "You might want to take a shower though...I'm sure you're offending lot's of people with your BO."
Cara looked around. "There's no one here."
Tony acted suprised, and Cara tossed a pillow at him.
After her shower, she sat with Tony and told him about Quiddich practice.
"...and Maggie made a funny noise when Tommy said my name, and..."
Tony bolted upright.
"Is Maggie a prefect?"
"Yea..I think so. What does that matter?"
"Because Draco Malfoy was Head Boy of Hogwarts! Along with your mom! No wonder she jumped!" Cara shrugged.
"But then he made up fly laps around the stadium. I got so dizzy! And he made me chase after anything people could throw at me. It got pretty heavy, especially after they started throwing rocks!"
Tony laughed. Cara frowned.
"Well, it hurt!"
Tony bellowed laughter in his child's voice, and soon Cara joined in. Their laughter rang throughout the Tower, across the Grounds, to where a small group of people waited for the proper moment...to kill.
Sorry for a delay in posting! I didn't post yesterday! So sorry, Nice, long post to make up for it!
