It was a good thing she didn't decide to go to Africa during his seventh year. He wasn't sure he'd like to be without his Divination classes. Or worse someone else filling in for her. Yep. Jory turned his attention to the kneazle. "I think that might be Ronnie's choice, too. I might get a crup...'' Which brought back the question, would he have enough time to spend with the creature? Hmmm.

How Callie wasn't taking it already was beyond her. Goodness knows, she would have ended up going home with a new pet if she'd come here alone.





"I'm doing vonderful, thank you." she smiled and nodded towards the young man. No huge life threatening events last term where she was useless, so, all was good. "I'm sure you heard about your school's fantastic vin this last term. Vould haff been lovely to haff everyone there to see it. Certainly miss haffing you in classes."

As the Divination professor listened to Jory speak she had a hard time keeping her eyes off the cute little Kneazle she had been playing with before he had arrived. The former Hufflepuff seemed genuinely interested in her trip which was nice of him. "I had a wonderful time, I really did. I got to help with some tribal divining skills I'd never even read about." And the people were so nice. "I did have less classes than usual, unfortunately but it was okay." The Headmistress wasn't happy with her but that wouldn't happen again so...

Wait...the person with Jory had his eyes on the Kneazle too? Callie looked from the boy to Medea and then back at the little kitten.

She. Wanted. That. Kneazle. Now.

"Oh well I hope he doesn't want this specific one..." side-look to her friend, "Cause I was just telling Med- Professor Romanos here that I was planning on taking him home today." There, decision made.

Carter watched his wife and son with the kneazle. Okay. They were definitely getting one. How could he say no after witnessing all that baby!giggling? He couldn't. He was not heartless.

He thought about the emu proposition for a second. "Wait. Don't emus live... in the desert?" Maybe? Possibly.

"And aren't ponies a girl animal? Plus he's not even walking yet."

Destiny didn't know where Carter was getting his animal information from, but she knew for sure it wasn't from herself. What had he been doing all those times she sat him down in front of the television to watch those animal shows with her? Had he been lying to her all this time? Telling her he hadn't fallen asleep when he really had!? She turned around to give him, yet another look, and she even made baby Connor raise his fist towards him. "Emus are from Australia." Duh. "And since they eat bugs and plants, they can't live in the desert, can they?" No. No they can not.

She turned back towards the kneazles, and since it was oh so obvious that they were getting one, she pushed herself up off the ground and placed Connor back into his stroller. The baby made some more gurgling noises, which was their cue to leave. She didn't like the way he was drooling. Like he wanted to eat the cats.

Not that she would tell that to Carter.

"Ponies are just miniature horses." Sweet Merlin. They were going to have an Animal Planet marathon when they got home. "But fine. We'll wait until he can walk before we get one. We'll just get the kneazle for now." Before someone takes it. She gave her husband a little push towards the adoption applications.

"Koalas are from Australia." Carter said. ... there wasn't really a point to that statement. He just wanted to prove that he paid attention to those shows. Sorta. He sorta paid attention anyway.

Plus, koalas were super cute. He wouldn't even hesitate to get one if Destiny suggested it.

Oh. And Connor was back in the stroller. ... and drooling. That meant there were going to do paperwork next, right?

Woohoo. He got out of the pony thing. He really wasn't comfortable giving his son a pony. Couldn't he give the boy a normal boy thing? Like... a football... or a broom? Or, if Destiny insisted on an animal, something guyish like an eagle would be acceptable for him.

"Where we heading now?" he asked as his wife pushed him towards...

Oh. Yeah. The table. They were probably going there now that he thought about it.

Ah. Good. She agreed with him. Although she didn't look very happy about it. Lewis chewed on his lower lip as he lowered his gaze to their hands, watching them absently. Rock, hard place, and he was right in between those two right now. "Sorry, it's just..." He looked back at the crups again. Kurumi wanted one. And he really hated saying no to her. "Do you think we'd have enough room?" Yes, he'd just repeated his previous question. Very clever, Lewis. How eloquent.

But Kurumi, think of the room. Think of the cats. Think of...well, everything.

And then there was a crup in his face. Literally. It was even licking his nose. Lewis smiled and reached up to scratch the canine behind its ears. Or his ears rather. Was it a he? Had Kurumi checked? Before he could dwell on this thought any longer however the little crup had been put back down and Kurumi was leaning against her shoulder. Yes, new thoughts. Thank you.

"A lot of other things...?" Lewis repeated with a confused look, giving Kurumi's hand a soft squeeze. Like what? Their life? Or was there anything particular Kurumi had in mi- Oh. Right. "No, no we haven't." Lewis replied, tilting his head slightly to place a kiss on top of Kurumi's head. Oh wait, did she mean to say that they should pick a date soon? Did she wantt o get married now?

"Come on Wadeee." Indiana Hutchinson pouted as she pulled her boyfriend along. She wanted to get to the animals faster, so that they could have a look. "Our new flat totally needs a new pet." Not that they like didn't have enough already. But they were gonna have a zoo. So they were okay with having lots of animals. She beamed as she looked up at him. "I wanna adopt a kneazle... or a crup" Something that was pretty. She was excited too. There had never been an adoption fair at Diagon Alley before so it was all nice and new. She looked forward, tugging him a long, before she squealed a little. "Kneeazles."

She giggled, letting go of his hand, and skipping over to where the kneazles were. "Ooohh. you're so cuttee."

"Okaaay.." Wade chuckled, as he allowed himself to pulled along to the adoption area. They both had gotten use to having a pet around, thanks to Shadow the border collie at his dad's place. "Yeah, something to go with our future monkey and hippogriff." He was excited about their upcoming farm, but knew school had to be done first before the boatload of them could come in.

"Kneazles are cute." They didn't have a lot of felines as pets, if you didn't include this kitty-tiger Wade. He grinned just as Indy had gotten a hold of one. "Yeah.." He approached closer, behind her where his chin just hovered over her head to look at them. "We should give them a name." Still smiling at the thought of having one run around the house.

Watching the crups play with one another, Kurumi sighed softly as she leaned against Lewis' shoulder a bit more. "No, we probably would not," she said. She said probably because there was always room for more creatures as far as she was concerned. There had even been a few times when she had wanted to bring home some of her research from the reservation, but more out of the safety of Walnut and Vanilla she had left the hatchings where they were. Even if some of them needed constant supervision. "A crup would need a yard...and we don't have one of those..........yet."

Tracing over his skin with her thumb, she tore her gaze from the playing animals and looked at Lewis while the color rose in her cheeks. "We should do that," she nodded, color only intensifying further. Father had been asking her about it, but mostly her grandparents had been the ones pushing. They also wanted to make sure that there was a traditional Shinto ceremony performed, which was going to mean that Lewis would need lessons on how to sit formally and a whole bunch of other things. "I just...I want to take the next step in our lives together. With you."

Even if it was just a piece of paper and they had already promised each other forever.

Lewis had learned to pick up on little things like this over time. It meant that while she agreed with him, Kurumi still WANTED a crup. They didn't have enough room for another pet - especially not a crup - and while Kurumi seemed to understand, she clearly wasn't happy about it. Which, naturally, meant that Lewis wasn't happy either. He chewed on his lower lip, looking down at the top of his fiancée's head absently. A yard, yeah. They'd need that. For the crup.

Hang on......YET?! "Do you....want to move somewhere else?" Like, OUT of their apartment? Was this a thing? Had he missed the memo or something? What? Was this something he should've taken care of? His eyes were a little wider than usual as he stared down at Kurumi with an expectant look on his face. Did she just want to move so they could have a yard which in turn would solve the crup-issue? Or did she want to move in general? Why did he not know about this?

But first they should figure out when to get married, yes. That sounded like a good plan actually. They couldn't just stay engaged forever. Apparently. Lewis smiled at her words and turned slightly so he could take both her hands in his. "I do, too." The intensity of the words made him blush slightly, though his smile didn't falter. "I...don't...how long do you think it'll take to...well, prepare everything?" He didn't know these things. Was he supposed to know these things? WAS HE?

Kurumi winced involuntarily at his question. She could sense the confusion not only in his tone but the subtle hints in his body language. His eyes only added to the full effect of the power her words had just had and she gnawed on her lower lip anxiously while shuffling her feet a little as a conversation she had had with Daichi suddenly resurfaced in her memory. "I don't mean...right NOW," she said shyly. "Where we live now is perfect for the two of us. B-But...it won't always just be the two of us. At least, I, um, I hope it won't be...I mean, not just the two of us plus Vanilla and Walnut..."

She gave his hand another small squeeze before looking down at her feet. Well, not really her feet since her violet eyes lingered on her stomach for a few moments and she began to wonder...

I do. She giggled at little at those two words, not entirely hearing the 'too' that followed. She was so ready to say those words in front of....who was it that would oversee this ceremony? She was suddenly hit with a wave of confusion over the whole wedding procedure and how to respect both their cultures. Her grandparents wouldn't have it any other way. Her mother's culture would have to be represented. Her mother would have wanted it that way as well, so it was also something that she, Kurumi wanted too.

"I...am not sure either," she rested her head on his shoulder for a moment before looking up at him. It couldn't be all that bad, could it? "We could budget a little and hire a wedding planner maybe. Mother and father did that for their wedding." She rested her head back on his shoulder and watched the crups some more in silence for a while before the looked back up at him. "We should pick a date that means something to us."

Not right now. Good. That was a relief. This was a big decision and they really had to think these things through and...

For a moment it felt like he was brought back to a situation a while ago when Treyen and Charles had been over to their place. And some of the things Charles had been saying had led to Lewis thinking that Kurumi was in fact pregnant. Which, of course, she hadn't been...wasn't but still. That had been the first time he had ACTUALLY, REALLY thought about them having babies. And it hadn't entirely left his mind since.

"No." Wait, he should probably rephrase that. Lewis blinked a couple of times and then looked down again to stare at the top of Kurumi's head. "I mean, yes...I mean-" Actually, no WAS the correct answer, right? No, they wouldn't be alone forever. He blushed and wet his lips absently. Somehow his eyes had come to rest on her stomach too. "...I guess we should start thinking about moving out then." At some point in the near future. Not right now.

Though THINKING couldn't hurt, right? No.

Though they did have other things to think about right now. A wedding planner? Somehow Lewis wasn't sure if that was a good idea. It sounded wrong in a way to have someone ELSE plan such an important day in your life. "Do you...know anyone?" That would definitely be better than a stranger after all. "Mhm...." A date that meant something to them. "Maybe we should pick a...a season first though." Like, whether they wanted a summer, spring, winter or fall wedding. That sounded like a good start.

Kurumi felt like looking away simply because it was sort of embarrassing talking about this particular subject in such a public setting. Certainly not the way she would have wanted to bring it up had she actually thought this through. Then again, nothing her and Lewis ever did ever really went according to plan. Things just happened. Still, she would like for this particular step in life to not just happen.

So, she stayed as she was. Violet eyes fixed on his face so that she would not miss a beat of his reaction. Was she insane for evening bringing this up now? They weren't even married yet - a prerequisite for her - and they both still had their own careers to think about and.... NO?! She blinked in surprise as she tried to both register and read what exactly that no meant. No more jumping to conclusions because that had nearly ruined his beautiful proposal. "So...you do want them then...eventually?" she smiled meekly. Moving talk had quite suddenly left her mind for the time being.

As had the crups that were still frolicking about in front of them.

She shook her head. "I...don't. I mean, Ella and Alice used to joke about planning our wedding," she laughed softly. Could hardly ask those to to pile planning a wedding on top of their duties at Hogwarts. Seventh year alone was stressful with graduation and NEWTs, but those two were also student leaders. "Do you...think we could plan it all ourselves? I-I mean...I don't know the first thing about planning a wedding, but I'm sure I could research it." She tapped her finger against her lip while she thought. "Spring. With lots of cherry blossoms."
