Hogwarts RPG Name: Lola A. Second Year | Mischievous Niffler Alice could not help but feel a little proud of herself for organizing this activity. It required very little lecturing from herself and was more hands-on, which the students seemed to prefer as a general rule. She'd been wanting to do a lesson on ghosts for awhile, but attending a Death Day party was so much more interesting than simply discussing ghosts in a classroom. "Happy Death Day, Sir Edgar," she said politely to their most generous host, the jovial Edgar Cloggs. "And may I thank you again for inviting us to celebrate this special day with you. I believe this experience will be a positive learning experience for the students." Some of them even seemed to be having fun.
And then Myrtle happened.
Alice couldn't actually say she was surprised by this development, though she was a bit disappointed in how Archer responded. Still, she would not intervene unless things got completely out of hand. Not intervening was generally against her principles as a teacher, but today she had already told the children that the activity was interacting with the ghosts. She would grade them back in the classroom. And that grading may involve discipline for one Hufflepuff if that Hufflpeuff didn't behave herself.
Besides, there were a few ghosts who she wanted to talk to. Dolly Dopple was certainly one of them. "Hello, Professor Dopple," she said, walking over towards the newest ghost. This particular ghost had been a work colleague of hers as recently as...last year. "I am happy to see you so adjusted. I hope you are well."
The other ghost she had been hoping to converse with found her first. Alice smiled warmly at the former Astronomy professor. "Hello, Marion. I hope you are well." And she looked very well, just like Dolly. Alice was genuinely happy for them. "Yes, I think the students are excited to be here. I think attending a Death Day party is so much more fulfilling than reading about ghosts in a textbook, right? It was so nice of Edgar to help me arrange this." As to her offer of help...well how nice of her. "Thank you so much for offering, but unfortunately we can't stay the whole party. Though if the offer stands, I would be happy to meet up sometime on a weekend so we could discuss teaching methods." ooc: Woot, what a party! Thank you to all the ghosts who showed up. We'll be moving on in about five hours. |
