Life without Hogwarts was something that Simon never considered. Graduation had always been this myth that awaited him in the future. However, it had snuck up on him. This was weird. He would never share the same dormitory with Ethan, Caleb, Grayson (even though Grayson had graduated a year before him), and even Cutty.

This fall would bring new beginnings. Grayson and Ethan were both off to the same university whereas Simon was off to a different one. His heart dropped a little. What happened if those two forgot about him? He bit his lip.

Sometimes he thought that he was best on his own. He had made his own decision to come to Hogwarts to study and learn more about memory; however, he hadn’t expected to ever make friends. Maybe this was how his hero, West Odessa, had felt like right before he graduated. He chuckled, remembering how the older boy saved him from completely embarrassing himself in front of the rest of his house.

Be strong like West.

Closing the yearbook, he decided that it was time to move on. He puffed his chest out and squared his shoulders, making himself seem larger and stronger than he was.
