Shrugging off any questions with that simple logic, the Ravenclaw quickly sat himself down at a desk and pulled out what he thought he might need for the lesson.

Now to wait and see who would walk in next...
Oh her first student of the evening! "Good evening, son," she chirped at the young man as he took his seat.

"Hey there Professor Burbage!" the Curly Top greeted the lady spectre he once marvelously mistook as the Ravenclaw house ghost. His hand swiped the air where a table and a lint roller used to be.....

..... of course it wouldnt be there. Alas old habits die hard eh?

So he makes his way to where he usually sat, but his gaze is taken by the festive decor "What are we celebrating Professah?"
"Gooooooood evening," she sang to the Gryffindors with bit of an excited wiggle. "Oh you shall see soon enough, although surely a spirited young man such as yourself can think of soooooooooomething worth celebrating, HMMMMM?"

Lesson topic aside, of course. Ho ho ho.

Rolling her eyes, Mason made her way towards the semi-circulie-desks, claiming one of the many open seats as her own. She was obviously WAY too early, something that she almost never was. They only person that she was remotely familiar with was Hads' boy-toy, Curly Top.

*SSSSIIIGGGHHHHH*
TUT!

tut tut tut tut tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.

Well, what had the young Slyterin's knickers in a twist?

"It is ruuuuuuuuuuuuuude to roll your eyes in such a manner, Miss Stevens," the ghost sternly warned just s curtly.

TUT!

...
"Good evening, Mr. Whittebrook, dear," she cooed as the Hufflepuff found his seat. "Oooooooh not entirely so...but certainly there will be one sometime this term."

Which she would be requiring some assistance with seeing as she was incapable of doing any sort of set up herself. Sigh.

...
"Con...Corn...Coooooooooooonbanwa!" she clucked in attempted greeting. She would get it eventually.

The sight of this particular young man never ceased to pull at the ghost's no longer beating heartstrings. Sigh.

"Good evening, Mr. Bellaire."

"Hello, dear," she smiled at the young lady.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. Oh yes, she was certainly watching this little exchange. OOOOOOOOOOH.

Still, Olly gave her a cheerful smile and greeted her as he entered the room. "Hello." Why did she have a picture of that old man on her desk? Olly had know idea who that was but he didn't really care.

He promptly forgot about the strange man's picture the second he turned away. He was too distracted by the decorations in the room. Streamers and balloons? It looked like a party. Specifically, it looked like a birthday party. Was it someone's birthday. He glanced back at the professor. "Is it your birthday?" Did ghosts even celebrate birthdays? It seemed like it might be a bit of a sore subject.
"Evening, son," she smiled kindly at the Slytherin. "Oh no, not today, my dear." Although Sir Nicholas was often reminding her she need not celebrate those anymore and ought to instead throw lavish death day celebrations.

HUFF.

"Good evening, Miss McNally," she chirped at the third year.

She loved sitting and looking at the stars, had done since she was a kid, and the third year felt like she was finally getting a scholarly feel for them too.

Hmm, who was the guy in the picture?
"Hello, my dear," Marion smiled warmly at the Ravenclaw.

Maybe it wasn't green but that's what it looked like to her.
"Good evening, Prefect Valentine," she greeted, giving a bit of an excited wiggle while she did. "OOOOOOOOOH you mean this FINE studmuffin? Well, he is no Newton...but he certainly does have his appeal."

Purposefully not answering your question, dear. Oopsies.

"Evening, dear," she smiled to the young woman, quite unsure how best to accept such praise that came after. "And you are looking particlarly solid and chipper this evening, Miss Toussaint."

She quietly pulled out all the supplies she would need for class, including her textbook and waited patiently for class to begin.
"Good evening, Prefect Dracy."

One of the students she would be seeking out another time to do her a favor. MMMhMMMMMMMMMM.

...
Oh...my.

"Are you quite alright, dear?" Marion asked the Gryffindor. "The moving staircases did not get the best of you, did they? No possessed flesh-eating plants wandering about the corridors trying to snatch up a darling little thing like yourself?"

Just had to be absolutely sure. Miss Phillips' disheveled appearance was cause for concern.

The brunette took a deep breath and found a seat towards the back and pulled her self tighter into her robes. Godric, I could use a heater. the second year thought to herself.
"Good evening, darling."

Hmm...seemed as though her precautions were NOT nearly enough for most students as this Gryffindor was not the first to display a certain dislike for the temperature of the room.

hmmmm....these matters were quite difficult to handle seeing as she was now incapable of performing any magic.

"Good evening, Professor Burbage," the Hufflepuff managed to squeak out despite being out of breath from the long haul up the stairs.

Another with a disheveled appearance. Hmmmm...

"Evening, Miss Skeeter," she cooed, looking the Hufflepuff up and down. "You ought to at least tuck in your shirt, dear." Pause. "Are Peeves and Miffy to blame for...all that?"

Best to spread her inquiries around.

"Hey, Henry. Mind if I sit here?" She knew that he would not mind at all, it was Henry nice, sweet Henry, she smiled and got her things out of her bag and ready for the lesson.
"Hello, dear," she smiled, also taking note that this student's robes were not a mess.

"Hello Professor." she greeted cheerily as she entered. She was pleasantly pleased that the temperature was actually completely tolerable. How'd a ghost pull that one off?

She then helped herself into an empty seat. This was weird. She couldn't decide what part about it was the most weird though. A new professor. The fact that the professor was a ghost. The streamers. Or the fact that she wanted very badly to play with the balloon on her chair.
"Good evening, Prefect Richards," Marion clucked.

...
"Good evening, Mr. Montezor," she beamed at the young man.

Deciding that it was well past time to begin, Marion floated a bit closer to the semi circle of desks.

"Let us begin!" she chirped. "If someone would be so kind as to shut the door to the classroom I would be mooooooooooooooost appreciative." Such physical luxuries were no long an option for the woman. "I THOOOOOUGHT I had placed a proper request to the house elves to set the room up to be accommodating for your living bodies, but it appears as though as some of you dears are still feeling a bit of a chill. I will permit the use of bluebell flames in the classroom should you feel the need. Younger students, you are allowed to ask an older one for assistance if you wish and I proooooooooooooooomise to request better heating charms next lesson."

It WAS difficult for her to gauge these things, dears. Forgive the ghost.

"Now, I know many of you are curious about this evening's decorations. That explanation shall come in juuuuuuuuuust a moment. FIRST, I would like you all to turn your attention to this framed studmuffin," she continued, gesturing towards the portrait on her desk. "Miss Kettleburn has already given a bit of insight as to just WHO this gentleman is..." No name but a VERY important little bit of information nonetheless. "...but who can identify him by name? Hmmmm? Name and perhaps a little nugget of information as to why he is important to astronomy?"

OOC: thank you for your patience, dears. We shall continue in about 24 hours from the time of this post.
