…………..Paul had been laughing at Juno’s debacle entirely too much to be of ANY help ot her, and it was lucky that Miss Kettleburn had come to the rescue. He was in stitches. Leaning over, hands on his knees, laughing with tears in his eyes. This was the best stomach workout he’d done in years! “Hooooo boy!” Paul wiped his eyes and sighed with the end of his laughter. Honestly, it was the damn funniest thing he’d seen in awhile. Kudos to Juno for having the most hilarious costume.

“W-well, are you okay, Miss Darcy?” he asked breathily. HE WANTED TO LAUGH AGAIN JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.

He smiled at Hadleigh, and chuckled at Hattie’s comment that her pumpkin didn’t look pretty anymore. Well. A lot of them had drawn truly remarkable pumpkins, and hopefully their drawings would be nice once the pumpkins went back to normal size?

His attention was suddenly drawn to Tenacius, who had started to enlarge his pumpkin--but Paul could tell immediately that he was enlarging it too much! “TENACIUS, STOP------” He ran towards the boy, wand drawn.

SPLATTTTT!!!!!!!

Paul’s face….and a good bid of his body was covered in pumpkin pulp. COVERED. IN. PUMPKIN PULP. He stared at Tenacius for a minute and cleared his throat. Had anyone else gotten hit?! “WELL--my students, I guess I forgot to mention this--” Yes, very good, Myers, “But if you enlarge something TOO MUCH….it can explode. Like Tenacius’ PUMPKIN just did,” he glanced over at him. “Who else got hit with pumpkin? Let me get us clean--Merlin--” he couldn’t help but chuckle. Again. This was too funny. Why were the students being so damn funny today? Merlin’s pants, he couldn’t handle it today. He was already in such a giddy mood.

He gave his wand a little wave and cleared off the the pumpkin bits from anyone who had gotten hit with a simple scourgify. “IS everyone all clean? Because weeeeeee need to move on!” he had gotten a good look at his watch a second ago and they were running LATE and they were supposed to move on to the FUN PART now!

“For the next and MAIN activity in celebration of pumpkins, we will be doing some…..GIANT PUMPKIN BOWLING.” Cue clapping. Like, come on guys, wasn’t this the BEST thing you’ve ever HEARD? Paul certainly thought so. He waved his wand and on the board appeared the rules for pumpkin bowling, which Paul promptly read aloud:

There are 10 “pins” (giant bowling pins that look like GHOSTS
The object of this game, however, is not only to knock down all the pins, but you also must smash your pumpkin; inside each pumpkin are mysterious objects you must retrieve
Behind the giant pins are large wooden boards. Your pumpkin might take a few smashes against this wood to break.
The only way your pumpkin can smash against the wood is if ALL of the pins are knocked down.
This means...you might have to knock all ten pins down a few times in order for the pumpkins break apart
Once your pumpkin is broken up, go forth and FIND THE MYSTERIOUS ITEM.
The first team to find the mysterious item WINS
That team will get points (ahem)
I will maneuver the pumpkins back to your team after you’ve pushed it! So don’t worry about retrieving it!
In order to get the pumpkin to move, use flipendo.

Paul smiled and pointed at each number as he said it. “NOW. If you all are ready, we’ll be migrating to BEHIND the greenhouse, where I have all the bowling pins set up as well as the giant pumpkins. Your tears are your houses!” he should probably make that clear now. “Everyone, follow me and let’s get started!” he led the way around to the back of the greenhouse, where INDEED there were four sets of ten pins set up with FOUR enormous pumpkins waiting to be bowled.

“Well go ahead and get started! If you have any questions, let me know! I’m giving out points to the winner’s team!” He was giving out points to everyone, but they didn’t need to know that. Plus, he would give the winning team MORE points than the other teams.

In order to knock down the pins, you must post your character bowling, pushing the giant pumpkin towards the pins. To figure out how many pins your character knocks down, use this [https://www.random.org/]. Set the numbers between 0 and 10 (yes, it’s possible to bowl a 0, lol). Whichever number it spits out, that’s the number of pins your character knocks down.
Since your team must knock down all the pins in order to smash the pumpkin against the wood behind the pins, label your post with how many pins LEFT to knock down. If I roll a 8, my character will knock 8 pins down, and 2 pins will be left. Label your post “2 pins left” so the next person knows how to do their generator.
When you use the random number generator and there are LESS than 10 pins left, set the number from 0 to however pins left; using my example from above, if the person before you has knocked down 8, then you would set it from 0 to 2.
Repeat this process until your team has 0 and then…
I have a predetermined number of times each team’s pumpkin will take to smash apart (usiing a random number generator as well out of 5). So, that means your team could take anywhere from 1 to 5 smashes of the pumpkin to break it apart. /I will post when the pumpkin smashes apart/.
For example, say I used a generator and got a 3 for Hufflepuff’s pumpkin. This means that Hufflepuff will have to knock down the ten pins /3 times/ and I will post the pumpkin smashing; then, the team can find the mysterious item.
After all the pins have been knocked down, the next person can just cast flipendo at the pumpkin to hit it against the wood. Label it as “pumpkin smashing post” or something <3
MYSTERIOUS ITEM FINDING: Once a team has smashed their pumpkin, I will go back to someone on that team’s post /hide/ the mysterious item in that post in white lettering. You do not have to search for it if you want to; have your character look but not find it (I know as a student I would be too lazy to look for something in a previous post lol) have FUN with it.
The first team to smash their pumpkin and find the item will win points for their house.
I hope this makes sense. I have recorded myself telling you the instructions because I understand writing better if I hear it aloud, and thought others might, too. If any of this is unclear, PLEASE PM me or message me on trillian/skype /politely/ to ask me to clarify.
