………...whoever was in the dinosaur costume had Paul’s UTMOST respect because daaaaaamn that costume was…..hilarious!

Paul was laughing as Juno revealed herself, and he waved at her. “The blindfolds, m’dear?” he asked, a twinkle in his eyes. “It’s merely for the very beginning of the lesson, just to make things for...HALLOWEENY.” He almost snorted because he had said the word “weeny” but decided he was much more mature than that. Hmph!



“Hello, Brooklyn! You look fabulous with blonde hair,” he winked, not knowing exactly who she was, but nonetheless, she looked great. And cheerful wasn’t the word, but she seemed in a better mood than was typical of her. “Who are you supposed to be, m’dear?” Medieval queen was his guess.



“And you, too, Miss Griffel!” he beamed. “A…...witch!” Muggle version. “Interesting, interesting..” and quite profound according to the former Ravenclaw. Dressing up as the...muggle opinion of what YOU are...indeed, dressing up as yourself but only as a muggle would perceive you, quite complex stuff here. He wondered if Leesha knew how brilliant she was!



He heard Genny Tate far before he could see her. He didn’t KNOW it was Genny until he saw, though, and he gave her a huge thumbs up. “Nice, Genny! Are you...a knight or something?” Paul was bad at guessing costumes. Really bad. “Is it heavy?”



“Thank you, Kimi!” he smiled at the boy. “It’s very warm, so I’m glad it’s a little chilly today!”



Paul had no clue what Mason was. No clue at all. “Ah, thank, Mason!” he nodded at the boy. “I have no idea what you are but you look great!” He gave him a thumbs up.



Another costume he didn’t know. He didn’t want to guess and be WRONG of course, so he just smiled and waved at Harvey. “Thank you, Mr. Jarvis...Er...nice….costume, too!” he said, gesturing at him.



“Oh my and WHO are you? I thought I knew EVERYONE in Hufflepuff! Oh dear, I am just the worst head of house in all the lands!” he put his hand to his forehead dramatically. “But thank you, m’dear,” he winked at her.



“Happy Halloween, Alyce!” he said cheerfully back. Paul thought he might know this costume. It was from a muggle film, the Disney one...but he was very confused on which character and thought she was the queen from Snow White and not Sleeping Beauty. “You look wonderful, evil queen!” Oops. He tipped his hat at her.



Another clinky costume! He smiled at young Jace and bowed back. “Good day to you, Jace. Happy Halloween!” he figured Jace was a samurai, actually, but didn’t say this aloud in case he was wrong. “You’re welcome!” And he rained more candy down on everyone in attendence. CANDY FOR ALL.



“Yes, good morning, Miss Lynch!” he smiled. “You look...puuuuurrrrrrrrr-fect!” he winked and chortled to himself.



A genuine smile came from Paul Myers extended to Junia, yes yes. After their brief discussion in the Greenhouses recently, he felt more akin to her, weirdly enough. He liked the girl. She reminded him of Dot, a bit, and he missed Dot so very much.

“I haaaaaave zero idea what you’re supposed to be, Miss Botros, but you look fantastic!” Obviously.



AHHH he knew this one! “Belle!” he smiled, reminded of Olivia. And then he wondered if Olivia would come as Belle. And if that happened, would there be drama? He certainly hoped not, and didn’t think any would result from the two of them wearing the same character’s outfit. Mostly because it was LIV who was a snowflake and AZURA who was equally as nice. So! “Hello to you, too!”



…………”You’re dressed as a …..muggle?” he asked Mr. Fletcher. “Very original,” he said, raising an eyebrow. Pffft. Using his lesson as an excuse to dress casually. PFFT.



At least Paige, who seemed to not be dressed up, had worn her uniform, MISTER FLETCHER. The hair was puzzling, though, and Paul couldn’t help but feel like he was missing something about her attire. Like...he should know who she was, but he couldn’t quite get it. “Good day to you, Paige!”




Paul spotted Miss Traulton from afar ONLY BECAUSE she was the QUEEEEEEEN OF HEARTS! He smiled as she got closer and waved very happily at her. “I see you’ve taken a leaf out of my book, Miss Traulton! You look amazing! Much better than I did..” then again, Maggie was a bit more fashionable than Paul, even if he thought his ponchos super cool.



He smiled over at the Slytherin girl. “Thank you, m’dear! You look….very nice!” Tight costume. Very mature looking. Slytherins. *looking at you, too, Maggie*



Aslan had arrived and seemed to be...a devil! Paul waved at her, and said, “You look great, Miss Evans!”



Little Lancelot! And dressed as his namesake, a knight! He saw the child glance at Genny’s real armor and smiled. “Sir Lancelot! What an honor to be in your presence, good sir!” he bowed at him, and winked. “I do love that sweatshirt, m’boy. I must find one for my husband--” he had abandoned using the word partner for a year now. Might as well just call the man his husband, eh? “He’d LOVE IT.”



HOLA! Paul whipped around and nodded at Miss Lupin. “Hola, Alice!” He waved at the redhead. “Happy Halloween!”



“And to you, too, m’boy!” Oliver was always so happy in his classes and he loved that! He chuckled as he spotted him trying to stuff some of the candy in his pocket.

Paul didn’t mind. He had come VERY prepared to give out TONS of candy.



“Why, a BEE! Welcome, welcome, Miss Bee! I’ve been needing you around my Greenhouses!” he chortled at Kat.



“Oh MY--AWESOME CATCH!” he gave a thumbs up to Henry. “Hello! Happy Halloween, m’boy!” No clue who Henry was though. heh.



Oh look, it was Paul’s favorite student, Kaycee.

*SNORT*

“Your face paint looks very cool, Miss Richards.” He wondered where DANTE was and was quite glad the boy wasn’t here yet. Hmph. Maybe Kaycee would pay attention for once.



Awww, Cassie looked adorable! Paul smiled at her and bowed his head. “And to you, too, m’dear!”



Another LAZY costume! HMPH. Slytherins. Again.

“Happy Halloween, Mr. Asakura!” Did the boy want candy? He had just thrown another handful at him.



“THANK YOU, Timmy!” he beamed and squinted at her crown.

WAIT.

WAAAAIT.

A BIRTHDAY! Paul SHOWERED her in more candy. “Happy BIRTHDAY, m’dear!” Oh this was just LOVELY!



SO CUTE. The younger ones were all so cute in their costumes! Another kitty! “I like your costume, too, Miss Toussaint! MEOW you’re all ready for Halloween!” He chuckled at his corny joke. Funny funny FUNNY.



Paul watched the boy very obviously eye both Maggie AND Natalia, and Paul couldn’t help but snort in laughter. Teenagers were curious, funny little creatures. He was still chuckling when the boy approached him. “You look great, Mr. Potter! A thousand points to Gryffindor!” he teased.

Gryffindor was not really getting a thousand points, don’t get your hopes up, kiddos.



Laughter.

There was muuuuch laughter when Owen arrived, and Paul nearly lost his sombrero in the process. “OWEN--you look amazing! So funny! I love it!” he said as he checked his watch. It was...pretty much time to start!



“Happy Halloween, everyone, and welcome to our HALLOWS EVE themed Herbology lesson!” he announced suddenly, loudly, deciding that class should start NOW. “I hope you all weren’t expecting a real lesson--” he chuckled. “Because this lesson is going to be..absolutely SILLY.” He knew some would be disappointed, but eh. This was his class. Too bad, kiddos. Teachers didn’t feel like teaching much on Halloween either, all right? All right.

“Today’s topic will be introduced with a very old Halloween tradition-thing!” He paused for emphasis. “The blindfolds on your tables...well, I want to play a VERY quick guessing game. Just for fun, nothing serious. But if you will put them on--” he held up a blindfold in his hand. “Oh right--this is optional! I know some of you might not want to put a blindfold on and stick your hand in a bowl of unknown..substance, but I do promise that it isn’t terrible, and what is IN the bowl is what we will doing our lesson on. So you know it can’t be TOO bad, right?” He hoped that, even if a few of them didn’t participate, at least SOME would. “SOOOO if those of you who want to guess using your hands--go ahead and put the blindfolds on. Those of you who would like to merely LOOK at the stuff and guess...well, not NEARLY as fun, but it’s allowed! So! BLINDFOLDS ON!” he called out, loudly,

He waited for those who wanted to to have their blindfolds snugly on before summoning a BUNCH of bowls (assumingly from the greenhouse? WHO KNEW). They clattered onto the tables, in front of students both blindfolded and not.

The substance in the black bowls were slimy, slightly orange in tiny, and felt like thin strands of some squishy substance. The smell was strong, pungent, and very familiar for those who were lovers of the Autumn season. Was it WORMS? Sure felt like WORMS IN THERE.

“Does aaaaanyone know?”



OOC: Hello everyone, Herbology has officially started! Since the class is outside, Paul probably wouldn't technically know if anyone was late unless a whole HORDE of people show up late, so.....YOU CAN DECIDE HOW YOU WANT YOUR CHARACTER TO SHOW UP IF YOU HAVEN'T ARRIVED ALREADY. *isn't gonna' lie lmao*

Also, I know this might be super duper easy for some of your characters, but Paul, bless him, wanted to do this FOR THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN...so...you all have like...17 or so hours to have your students guess?
