Well Sky had given had finished giving Xeno a tour of the castle - almost - and she totally was starved! Plus even though she told him where she was sorted , explaining her nervous self in the entrance hall before she knew what her destiny would be for the next seven years, Sky never actually took her pet inside the great hall. It was almost as if she knew she would be starved by the end of her walk.
"Well this is it, Xeno. My home for the next six and a half years. Here's where we eat all our meals and have feasts ... There's four long tables where everyone sits according to their house, represented by the banners hovering from the ceiling. And then we'll, you don't have to eat with your house but it think most people do... The staff watches over us up there and well right in front of that horizontal table... That's where I became a Slytherin."
She paused reflecting a moment.
"No wait ... Technically I didn't become a Slytherin because I guess it was always within me, but it where officially we were told what house we would be in."
Yup. Made perfect sense. Now can they eat yet? The first year made her way over to her house table, scooping some mashed potatoes and Shepard Pie onto her plate... "First we say thanks, then we dig in."
