Deciding it was best to start from the very beginning of showing Xenolith her home for the next six and a half years, Skylar made her way down to the entrance hall of the castle. "Alright, Xeno, open your eyes." Sky beamed as she approached the big heavy doors of the castle.
There wasn't a whole lot to do in the entrance hall, but more to explain. "It's here where back in September I got my great start. I was among a small group of nervous first years, my bestie beside me. We'd just been taken in from the boats and we were waiting to be let into the Great Hall." Sky said, gesturing to the doors to the right.
"The groundskeeper explained the ritual to us. I was hoping to be a Hufflepuff like my parents, or at best, a Ravenclaw like my siblings. But really, me and my best friend wanted to rule Hufflepuff together."
Was she doing too much talking? If she had access to the sorting hat, Sky probably would have jammed it on Xeno's head to let him experience it. "So what happened next, well I got sorted before she did, cause D before P, but apparently the hat saw me differently and placed me in Slytherin! I was a bit upset at first about it... but well, with my roommate Vivian, and some other cool housemates, I think it's alright now."
She sighed thoughtfully. "Hmm, you wanna try and scout at the sorting hat and get sorted, Xeno?" Sky asked curiously, but something else got the best of her and she pulled open the door to the entrance hall and her eyes widened at what she saw. Forget sorting. That could wait!
