 Pet Rock Project- Post 3 ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Kay really had thought about sleeping in late today but her body would not allow it. Despite it being Saturday, she had awoken at six AM. Lots of tossing and turning did absoloutely nothing to help and finally she had given in to the realisation that she wasn't going back to sleep. Instead she had taken a shower then headed for the Hall for breakfast.
With her was her newly named pet rock Shawn who was named by one Ms Haddie Denaker and the name had stuck. Kay felt like Airey, carrying Shawn with her. She had been doing so for the last few days though she didn't take it all over. So far, she had shown it her classroom, the Fun room, the Library among a few other places. Tomorrow she and Shawn were heading for a walk on the Grounds.
"This is where we have breakfast,'' the woman told Shawn as she headed for the Staff Dias. "Each House has their own table but students usually mix and mingle. Staff has their own too... which is this one.'' Reaching the table, she took her seat, setting her pet rock down on the table it self. It couldn't see the Hall if it sat on a chair, could it?
"I'm sorry we have to be here so early. I'm sure you would have liked seeing more students or even my colleagues.'' Kay poured herself a tall glass of fruit juice. She didn't mind being here so early, however. She rather savoured the peace and quiet; bonding time with Shawn the pet rock <3 |
