“You dare me to?” she asked, smirking over at Sevurus and Lily. She had climbed a tree...and was not standing atop the strong, thick branch proudly. “I’ll jump.”

“TUNIA! You can’t jump!” Lily screamed.

“Go ahead...JUMP,” Severus said under his breath. Lily nudged him sharply in the ribs and glared. “OW--okay, DON’T jump, Petunia.”

Petunia cackled...and stepped off the branch. The crack that resulted from her fall pierced through them all.

“PETUNIA!” Lily shrieked, crumbling next to her instantly. “You broke somethin’!”

“I KNOW--GO GET MOM AND DAD--HURRY!”

Severus couldn’t hide the smug smirk on his face.
