“Mama, I want to have my own bedroom.” One day, the nine-year old Ava asked. It’s not that sharing a bedroom with Teddy wasn’t fun. It was fun but... she’s grown up, okay? And she wanted to have her private space.
“No, Ava. You’re too young to have your own.” Her mother refused.
TOO YOUNG? She’s gonna be ten years old in a few weeks!
“There are some girls things that I’m gonna do but.. Having Teddy in my bedroom makes it awkward, you know that. Please, mama...” She tried to negotiate.
“Fine, you can take your sister’s old room.”
