Gary found her wand. The search was off! The missing wand had been found. He rolled it between his fingers, looking at the design etched onto the light wood.
“You got a new wand?” he asked, handing it to her.
“Yeah,” she replied, taking the wand. “It didn’t… my old one, it didn’t survive the, uh,” she looked at him and frowned. “Yeah I needed a new one. This one actually works better for my work. Charms. Potion and herb charms.”
“It’s nice… suits you.”
Zhenya put a quick half smile on her face and tucked it into her pocket.
