| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... Cassie walked around the room watching all the students cut into their onions. Goodness was anyone else having problems with all the onion smells. She wiped at her eyes as the tears kept fighting to come out and slip down her cheeks. This lesson was going well she thought, but at the same time it was time to start wrapping it up before her emotions and stomach got the best of her.
As she walked the room she noticed a first year with her hand up and she smiled at her words. How interesting for her to say something like this; Quote:

Following on from this thought, Char (with a pink and purple ribbon in her hair), had started daydreaming about what kind of divination SHE would invent (something with snails obviously) and since her mum was a seer maybe it would actually impress her and stuff if she did make something up? Char did NOT have THE SIGHT at all, not one bit, but if she could make something seer-y that her mum would like, then that would be kind of cool actually.
She was so involved in her thought process about all this that she missed the whole fish thing entirely and only came back to the land of the living when in was onion time. And since she was thinking about her mum, Char carved 'Celandine Kettleburn' into the onion then eyed her handiwork for a second then her hand went up. "Ummmmm professor? Does this work differently if the person you carve is a seer? Like would they KNOW you were doing divination with an onion on them?" "Well even if the Seer did know you were doing this I think they would be flattered that you feel so strongly about them that you want to check up on their well being. Plus it would depend on their abilities. My grandmother does....would have known because she can sense and see things that are going on." That was hard to get use to and Cassie took a moment to make sure she had it together, "Myself would not know, my ability lies more in animals so someone doing a form of Divination would not be something I could see." Did that help?
Moving back to the front of the room she poured herself some tea and flicked her wand towards the board. [b] "Now after you cut your onion you won't be able to do the reading right away. We do not speed up the process of the onion, because it could make a false reading. So you will need to take it back to your dorm and let it sit. Observe it daily. Right about the changes and when it starts sprouting. Once it sprouts you will be able do your reading.
[quote=board]
Onion sprouts quickly: The person that is on the onion is in good health and/or happy.
Onion sprouts slowly: The person is in poor health and/or unhappy.[/qoute]
Giving a moment she flicked her wand to have chocolate cake appear on the table. "Now unless there are any questions it is that time of day where we say our goodbyes. Please take your onions and your homework is to watch them and record your sprouting. Write about it and turn it in. Thank you for coming to class today and please have a piece of cake on your way out."
She always loved to give her students sweets before they left for their next class.
