First to arrive was the Hufflepuff Prefect. Astrid shot her a smile. "Good day, Miss Kittredge. Hope you had a nice weekend." She certainly had. "Don't forget to grab a tag." Text Cut: Hady Quote:

It was then she took notice to the message on the board and grabbed herself a tag before proceeding to select herself a purple mat. Yeah purple. Not green. Spotting Norah as she sat down dropping her bag lightly beside her she offered the older girl a small wave. Pulling out her quill she neatly wrote on the tag like told.
There. Setting the quill down beside the tag in front of her on the mat she waited silently to see whom would end up sitting near her. "Morning, Miss Lynch, how do you do?" Astrid smiled, watching as the girl wrote a charm on her tag. Oh, interesting charm. Who would she be disarming? Text Cut: Ava Quote:

She greeted the Charms professor who was leaning against her desk.
A spell that could be useful for duel? Great! Since she's in a duel club the young lioness must know very much about this. She grabbed a tag and wrote the spell that she had been practicing lately.
Then she grabbed an empty seat at the second row.
Ah, there was little Ava. More smiles from Astrid. "Hello, Miss Burton." Seeing the charm she wrote down, Baxter added, "Have you ever attempted casting that charm?" Seeing as she was young, but anything was possible where there was WANT and DESIRE. Text Cut: Adi Quote:

And yes. He was eyeing that covered desk. What was under there, yo? But onto writing that Charm!
This fellow always had a cheery look on his face. Astid approved. He spread positivity and that was important around a few grumps. "Gooood morning, Mister Rehman." Text Cut: Blaise Quote:

He'd been caught in a ditch attempt and was instructed to head straight to class or suffer the consequences so here he was walking into the Charms classroom.
Joy.
Even his quill and notepad seemed to be floating a little lower as the little boy dragged his feet up to the Professor's desk, mumbling an almost inaudible greeting as he took a tag then went to grab a seat by....that Hufflepuff girl, he guessed. Norah, right? He wasn't sure, he didn't wanna be sure. He didn't wanna be here.
Blaise flopped down on the mat, not paying particular attention to the colour of the mat, scribbled on the tag then twisted ever so slightly as he could stare longingly at the door.
Only an hour to go.
Was this a new student? She had not been informed.
...Wait a second.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. It was young Bellaire, wasn't it. He hasn't been to her classes and she was well aware because she had reported him. It was an unfortunate event, but it had to be done. "Morning, Mister Bellaire." Astrid graced him with a warm smile nonetheless. Such a grumpy child. Glancing at his tag, she nodded in thought. "We will be working on that today, yes." So do not fret. Quickly scanning the blackboard, Zeke wandered to the front to get a tag, greeting the Professor at the same time, "Hey, Professor," wassup? With his tag in hand he went and claimed the spot beside the first year he didn't know much about with the exception that his name was Blaise. There. Newbie. New friend. Hi. Blaise got a nod and a half grin from him.
Pulling his quill from his bag, He scribbled down a charm and set it on the mat in front of him.
So... why no desks? "Good day, Mister Browne. How was your weekend?" Hopefully it went well and not too crazy. They were going to need energy today. Text Cut: Janelle Quote:

There were only two people that Janelle didn't really know and both of them were covered on both sides. Making an executive decision, Janelle plopped down next to her snowball fight partner ( Ava). They had had fun together, but Janelle guessed that she really didn't know her. "Hi there", she said before getting her supplies together. Waves went to Adi and her partner from another class Zeke.
Quill in hand, Janelle wrote the first spell she could think of on her tag. "Miss Guidry, how are you today?" So on-top of things, this Ravenclaw. Astrid appreciated that immensely. Text Cut: Oliver Quote:

Oliver sent him a confused look, and sat somewhat near the Gryffindor. On the other side of Hufflepuff prefect, Norah, to be exact. He didn't know her all that well, but the few times he had spoken to her had been pleasurable. He would never forget her trying to help catch that niffler. "Hello Norah," he smiled at her, before leaning forward slightly on his mat and peering around her at Blaise. "Hey Blaise. Funny seeing you here."
There was something else he was supposed to be doing, wasn't there? Oh yeah. Oliver fished in his bag for a quill and went up to the professor's desk to grab a tag. He hadn't greeted her yet, had he? "Hello professor." She got a smile from him before he went back to his cushion and scribbled on the tag.
There was Oliver. Astrid shot him as smile and a greeting nod. "Morning, Mister Borzekowski. How's it going?" Text Cut: Dante Quote:

It was nice in here. Not cold like the rest of the castle. Which Dante appropriated. Since he did not mind the cold as long as he was dressed up for it or you know on a snowboard. Which this is the only time of year for it. Too cold for his bike or skateboard. "Hi Professor Baxter. I actually successfully did the summoning charm with my eyes open and it was awesome"
He took a random seat. Not really caring who he was next to. 50/50 shot it was someone he knew or not. Now it was the writing the useful spell thing. Done
Dante just MADE HER DAY. Astrid bounced on her perch on the desk and shot him two thumbs up. "That is magnificent, Mister Barrigton!" She was so so so proud. "Take two points for hard work." Oh Merlin! She loved teaching. Text Cut: Angel Quote:

Angel then went and took a tag and read what was on the board, now this was a hard question, what was useful to be used in a duel... hmm she would have to think about this one.
Angel wasn't sure if it would be any good but she couldn't think of another and had a feeling her other idea to put down on the piece of paper would get her in trouble. "I'm doing great, Miss Valentine, thanks for asking. How are you doing?" Such polite students she had. Text Cut: Yoongi Quote:

Sit next to a person he hardly spoken to before? His dark brown eyes went to Norah when he saw her sitting on one of the mats. They knew each other but not long…maybe he could…but Hady was already taking a seat next to the Prefect. Oh well…there was still the other side he could si---…aaaand Blaise stole it
Looking around he spotted a first year Ravenclaw girl ( Chloe). He definitely did not know her. Taking a seat next to her, Yoongi pulled out his flamingo quill and began to write on the tag he had gotten from the desk earlier. "Good morning, Mister Hyland!" He was a joy to have in her class, did he know that? Also that quill. She liked it. "What a lovely quill." Text Cut: Maggie Quote:

Less chance of embarrassing herself.
So with a grin and her arms crossed behind her back, Maggie entered the classroom. Oh. No desks today? Interesting. Not that she minded. Those mats looked comfortable. "Hello Professor Baxter." Glorious day today, wasn't it? And it was warm in here too. She really had to ask for that warming spell.
Maybe there was one you could just cast around yourself while outside?
Grabbing one of the tags, she took the long way round to be able to lightly tap her fingers against Zeke's back while passing by. HIIII! She grinned at him before choosing a mat next to a Gryffindor (Angel) she hadn't really talked with. Dante and Hady got a grin too. HELLO! She then quickly fished out her quill to write a spell on her tag.
Astrid smiled at the Slytherin who entered the class next. Positive attitudes upon arrival is what Astrid appreciated. The girl got a smile. "Nice morning, Miss Traulton." Text Cut: Daxton Quote:

Daxton scowled - of course he did - and eyed the message up on the blackboard. After a moment of hesitation, he tiptoed across the room on bare feet and collected a tag, before backtracking towards the classroom door and sitting near it. Alone. And looking very unapproachable. Not that that ever seemed to stop anyone.
He took a moment to stare at the tag, before using his pen to write on it.
As it was, Astrid had placed some mats near the door as well and even by the windows. She basically covered the classroom so that students could sit where they felt comfortable. Of course, hardly anyone sat that far away, but it was okay that Daxton had chosen a seat by the door. As long as that made him feel comfortable.
She shot him a soft smile and a greeting nod. Text Cut: Paulina Quote:

"Hello, Professor." Adi and Hady got waves as she made her way to grab a tag from the Professor's desk. Since she was supposed to sit by someone she didn't really know, Paulina selected a mat on the other end of a Ravenclaw girl she had seen in classes (Janelle).
After thinking it over for a moment, she wrote down a spell that she could use during a duel: "Good morning, Miss Holiday. Hope you had a nice weekend." Seems like have the class did and half didn't. Goodness. Text Cut: Candice Quote:

"Hello, Professor! How are you?" She noticed that there's some writing on the board. OH! No swiping ties and stickers today? Good. That's good. Sitting next to someone you've hardly spoken to or not at all? That she could do. She grabbed a tag from the Professor's desk before she went to sit next to Hady. She only spoke to the girl once before the school started. She gave the Slytherin a 'Hello' nod. Then she proceed to write her tag. "Miss Messer, hello. I am doing fanstastic. How about yourself?" Ready, ready to start the lesson! Text Cut: Henric Quote:

He wrote on his tag: "Morning, Mister Nicolei." Astrid smiled, very much appreciating the positive attitude. Text Cut: Rooney Quote:

The Ravenclaw smiled, crossed his legs and began to think hard about what he was going to write on his tag. Immediately, nothing came to mind, but that was more so because he was distracted in looking at the other students in the classroom with the intention of finding exactly who he was looking for...
...which was no one, obviously. Acknowledging no one was better than accepting that the individual he was seeking wasn't here yet. And they knew him so they wouldn't be able to sit beside him. Unfair..
Look at his cheery soul! Astrid smiled at him. "Good day, Mister Bronwyn. Hope you are doing well."
Astrid glanced at the time and gave her wand a wave, causing the doors to close. Class time! "Good morning all! I hope you had a great weekend." They were ready for the school week, right? Right. "Today we will be going over charms we could possibly use during duels. In how they are more useful than some might think. But first..." Giving her wrist a roll as she swished her wand, a banner rolled from thin air, revealing one of the greatest wizards in Astrid's opinion. "Who is this wizard and what great things did he accomplish during his time? What was he famous for?"
It was a simple question, she knew, but it was a way to get things rolling. Besides, Astrid loved hearing things about him. He WAS one of her role models. OOC: If I missed anyone please let me know, I didn't mean to. I will be posting tomorrow at around this time-ish. Have fun!
