Astrid is an affiliative extrovert. The spotlight does not interest her as much as building bonds and friendships and certain relationships. She is open-minded and has a knack of taking the longer route if it means fun and adventure. When it comes to her career or anything related to that aspect of her life, Astrid is very passionate driven and takes it seriously. She admires creativity and hard work, and can, at times, be a little pushy. Miss Baxter can be a little softy underneath her armor. Her natural delicate, yet stern features do little to give away any sort of emotions. It is tricky to tell if she is kind or firm.

Born Astrid Baltazar-Baxter, Astrid now goes by Astrid Baxter (she dislikes hyphenated names). She was born to high born parents, Augusto Baxter and Romina Baltazar-Baxter, along with her fraternal twin, Alonzo. Due to the both so close to birth and the healers not taking note, it is unknown which of the twins is the oldest and which is the youngest. Their eldest brother, Isaiah, enjoys teasing them about this fact. Astrid, the ever patient, doesn’t mind whereas Isaiah, the ever intolerant, falls for it every time.
Growing up and although close to her parents, Astrid was closer to her brothers. They once packed up their mother’s bag with food, clothes, books, toys and blankets and ran away. The adults of course knew where their children were--which was in small shed half a mile from home--and kept surveillance of them and their little stunt. Isaiah, Astrid and Alonzo raced down the half a mile during a thunderstorm and never attempted running away.
Childhood was an easy part of life, probably the easiest for Astrid. During her teen years her eldest brother drifted apart as he went off to university and invested his time in healer studies. Along the road Isaiah got into a relationship, and while Astrid had to learn to share her brother, she knew there was something fishy about her brother’s new conquest. As it turns out the woman turned out to have a double life, and when Astrid told her brother, he accused her of being a jealous little sister. Thus trust issues started.
After graduating Hogwarts, Astrid went off to study at Wizarding University in Madrid, Spain. She focused her studies on Primary & Secondary Wizarding Education, as well as minoring in several other subjects such as Potions and Advance Defense Techniques. Astrid studied hard and relentlessly, her mind making no time for personal relationships. This created a rift between her and friends and a special someone. In order to stifle the feeling of loss, Astrid signed up for an internship the summer before her last year at uni. That’s where she discovered a knack for Charms. If it wasn’t for a teaching job she was offered, Astrid most likely would still be at the university pursuing more subjects.
